We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our team covering Oxfordshire.
You'll manage your own diary with a mix of working from home, office and out with our customers.
This is a full time permanent role with a starting salary of £30,000 to £35,000 depending on your experience.
Your role
You'll be delivering a professional and high-quality mixed tenure service to our customers, using your knowledge and skills to resolve a range of housing management challenges.
This could include anti-social behaviour, housing and neighbourhood issues, contract related breaches or changes, fraud and safeguarding.
You'll be an integral part of ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe, whilst listening to our customers needs and making changes when needed.
You'll balance your caseload with projects, shaping sustainable communities that develop an inclusive environment for our customers.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The ability to proactively manage a complex caseload
- Strong communication skills with previous experience of working with customers in a demanding environment.
- Experience in providing an Excellent customer service, contributing to us achieving a 90% customer satisfaction rate
- Previous experience, or a knowledge of delivering housing management services
- Experience of using computer systems, for example Microsoft Office
- The ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies
- Some of the roles will involve line management responsibilities for our Scheme Officers operating in our Housing for Older People schemes.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
A DBS check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.

Job Title: Money & Energy Adviser

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.
- Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
- Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
- Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
- Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
- Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and our funders

Background Information:
Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge (MindTHNR) has a strong reputation for delivering good quality counselling services for over 20 years, achieving positive recovery outcomes.
This is a BACP accredited service and operates using a volunteer counselling placement model alongside paid clinical counselling staff, delivering bereavement counselling to adults living in Newham.
The Counselling Coordinator will be required to complete, oversee and screen clinical counselling assessments and referrals, provide administrative and data support for the smooth running of the counselling services including managing administrative assistants, and provide duty management to therapists in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Management Structure:
All Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge staff are accountable to the CEO. The Counselling Coordinator will be supervised by the Counselling Service Manager who reports to the Operations Director.
Overall Purpose of the Post:
The Counselling Coordinator will be required to effectively support the coordination and supervise the activities of Newham Bereavement Service and Tower Hamlets Bereavement Service at an operational and clinical level to ensure that it meets its contractual obligations and KPI’s. Currently this service consists of bereavement counselling, brief counselling, and early bereavement support.
Key Responsibilities of Post
1. Management
1.1. Ensure the delivery of the service is in accordance to the contractual agreement
1.2. Effectively monitoring the database, looking for outliers and rectifying this on the Views database system.
1.3. Monitor and manage service capacity in accordance to contractual KPI’s
1.4. Ensure counsellors are at capacity within their individual caseloads and maintain effective clinical work at this level.
1.5. Monitor, identify and report any gaps in volunteer staffing levels both planned and unplanned to the Counselling Services Manager and take appropriate action
1.6. To provide duty management to therapists (counsellors) and support / guide them in accordance to safeguarding policies and procedures
2. Training
2.1. To support the Volunteer Counselling Placement Programme
2.2. To support the recruitment and induction of Volunteer Placement Counsellors in line with Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge policies and procedures.
2.3. To support with ensuring that all new volunteers understand how to use the Views and IAPTus database system to meet the quality and recording requirements of the counselling services.
2.4. Ensure that all administrative assistants understand how to use the Views and IAPTus database system to meet the administrative requirements of the counselling services.
2.5. Consult with counsellors and provide guidance for extensions and signposting where necessary
2.6. To work with the team to coordinate and deliver periodic training workshops for counsellors according to service needs as part of their continuous professional development and to promote team building
3. Clinical
3.1. Complete clinical counselling assessments and recommend interventions for clients referred to the service.
3.2. Coordinate and oversee clinical counselling assessments and referrals to the service
3.3. Manage referrals received by this service ensuring that all relevant client information is accurately and regularly updated onto the Views system
3.4. Screen referrals to the service for counselling in accordance with the service’s inclusion and exclusion criteria
3.5. Identify inappropriate referrals and discuss with the Counselling Services Manager
3.6. Ensure that the service is operating to full capacity in order to maintain required KPIs for waiting list levels
3.7. Manage client queries and related administrative requirements including answering the phones, data input, allocations to counsellors, updating care pathways and schedules, sending appointment letters and other communication.
3.8. Act as Duty Manager as required and respond to safeguarding issues and risk in an appropriate manner
4. General Duties
4.1. To support service monitoring and patient feedback mechanisms in partnership with the management team.4.2. To contact clients at the top of the waiting list and book in clients to the counsellor’s diary and send follow up client and GP letters when needed
4.3. To monitor discharge procedure by discharging people who have not engaged
4.4. To promote the services to other professionals, GP’s, IAPT providers within Tower Hamlets and Newham
4.5. To develop the profile of services in Tower Hamlets and Newham by maintaining close links with referral sources in particular local GP’s
4.6. To take measures to increase the accessibility of the service, by targeting under-represented groups in Tower Hamlets and Newham multicultural community. To promote cultural awareness and sensitivity in the process of service delivery
4.7. To ensure the service is operating within the BACP code of Ethics and Practice and complies with the BACP Quality Standards
4.8. To attend service contract meetings when required

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager on a part-time (21 hours per week), permanent basis. You will be responsible for maintaining the current financial position of the charity and ensuring they meet all financial regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and manage a part-time bookkeeper.
Please note, this organisation offers flexible working, and the role can be done either on a hybrid or fully remote basis. The salary shown is the FTE.
As Finance Manager, you will:
- Produce monthly consolidated management accounts, rolling cash-flow forecasts, financial dashboards, annual accounts and annual returns
- Complete/submit quarterly VAT returns
- Ensure cloud accounting system entries and bank reconciliations are up to date
- Support the senior leadership team to monitor project income and expenditures, including ad hoc project reporting
- Review finance processes and implement recommendations to improve financial controls
The successful applicant will:
- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Be fully qualified (hold a Professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification)
- Have QuickBooks experience
- Have a solid understanding of Charity SORP including Gift Aid and restricted and unrestricted income

The Triangle of Care UK Programme Lead has responsibility for managing the implementation of the Triangle of Care. This dynamic quality improvement framework, pioneered by carers within secondary mental health settings and now recognised within wider national policy, is based on six principles which health and care providers can use to include and support unpaid carers, staff and those receiving care.
This role is the key point of communication for Triangle of Care members, leading on delivery of the Triangle of Care peer review and accreditation process and working closely with the Director of UK Network & Innovation and Executive Director of Programmes & Impact to grow and diversify the programme, in line with Carers Trust 2022-25 Strategy.
