Job Title: Partnerships Manager

Reports To: Associate Director: Partnerships

Salary: £34,000-£37,000 per annum dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours: A full working week is 35 hours and we offer flexible working options

The Opportunity

The Partnerships Manager will support the team in delivering ambitious membership growth targets for the College. Working closely with the Associate Director: Partnerships, the Partnerships Manager will take responsibility for:

• Developing and delivering presentations to drive Chartered College membership, ensuring that trainee teachers, teachers and school leaders are aware of and join the College, including at conferences and sector events.
• Developing new partnerships to support scalable income generation for group memberships, Chartered programmes, accreditation and projects, and introducing bespoke opportunities for customers and stakeholders.
• Supporting existing partnerships and, through those relationships, identifying wider sector challenges for the College to address. This will include working closely with the Associate Director for Professional Learning, Marketing and Communications Manager and Head of Content.

Membership sales 

Most of your time you will be working towards achievement of objectives (including sales and account management and supporting overall membership numbers) and income targets for the full range of products and services including group membership, Chartered programmes, accreditations and projects offered by the College. You will build and maintain a sales pipeline to report to the Associate Director: Partnerships.

Membership engagement

You will spend some of your time managing and implementing workshops, webinars and activities for groups of trainee teachers, teachers and leaders to drive membership engagement, upgrade, renewal and recruitment. This will require regular travel throughout the UK. You will also liaise with training providers, universities and appropriate bodies to support student recruitment and upgrade to ECT membership.

Account Management 

You will spend some of your time:

• Maintaining excellent account management and first-rate customer service with both existing and new partners and customers.
• Working closely with Members, Fellows and supporters of the College to build and maintain relationships and expand potential partnership opportunities.
• Maintaining records in the College’s CRM system (Salesforce), and ensuring colleagues are informed of customers’ status and opportunities.
• With the Associate Director: Partnerships and Membership Manager, managing processes and implementing activities. 

Other

Alongside your main areas of work, you will:

• Continue to engage in your own professional development. 
• Arranging and participating in meetings, and other activities as required.
• Attending and participating in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.
• Performing other activities as and when required in order to support the wider team achieve our membership targets.

Essential knowledge and experience

• You will have experience in a sales or business development role
• Educated to degree level, or equivalent work experience that demonstrates equivalent ability to analyse information and data
• Experience of building sustained relationships and managing transactions with external organisations.
• Experience of planning and executing recruitment campaigns or initiatives
• Understanding of the British education system, and the key challenges teachers and school leaders are facing

Desirable knowledge and experience

• Experience of membership or subscription sales
• Knowledge of GDPR and how it relates to the storage, retention and use of personal data
• Background in the education sector and/or teaching

The Fundraising Officer - Events role sits in the Events team. This team is responsible for a portfolio of third party organised sports events - such as London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Cardiff Half and skydives - that will raise more than £4.5 million in the next financial year.

The Events team is a part of a wider Community, Events and Products Fundraising team. Our vision is to engage, grow and inspire a community of passionate fundraisers to power the fight for mental health. Because together, we can change lives.

You'll play a pivotal role in the Community, Events and Products Fundraising team's strategic objective to sustain and improve the portfolio to raise £12.9million by March 2026

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

-Steward event participants; this could include undertaking welcome calls, sending supporter communications, providing ongoing fundraising support, following up non-payments, personalised thanking, and supporter surveys. This can be done across a range of channels including mail, email, and telephone, online and face to face.

-Attend events to help enhance our supporters experience and deepen their relationship with Mind.

-Work with the Senior Fundraising Officer to deliver events fundraising activity. This can include planning, writing and submitting briefs, generating marketing and stewardship communications, working with third party agencies, setting up web pages, delivering memorable on the day experiences for our supporters, reporting and analysing live activity and conducting evaluations.

-Analyse and interpret data, including marketing and stewardship performance, and adjust tactics to continuously improve and ensure results are met.

-Produce high quality analysis reports for activities, including recommendations to inform and improve future fundraising.

-Work with our media agency and internal Digital Teams to achieve Mind's digital-first strategy, attending training opportunities with internal teams and external agencies to upskill as needed, and thinking digital-first in the briefing of all new activity.

-Maintain high standards of data capture by ensuring data entered on systems are accurate and timely, in accordance with the team's requirements.

37.5 hours per week / Permanent / working onsite on a seven-day rolling rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

YMCA Hastings provides supported accommodation for a total of 47 young people at risk of homelessness, aged 16 to 25, and care experienced young people under the age of 18. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Our staff team comprises of Support Workers, Night Staff and Managers. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Hastings Foyer team with the expectation on occasion to work across locality. Main areas of responsibilities:

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance). 

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

General 

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

Our supportive staff team comprises of Support Workers, night staff and two managers.

We have an exciting position based within the Advancement Office Philanthropy Team. We are seeking a highly ambitious senior fundraiser as Head of Trusts & Foundations. Overseeing the entire portfolio and line managing the Trust and Foundation Manager, you will work as a team to build excellent relationships and raise significant philanthropic support to help us reach our ambitious goals.

What does successful Donor Development look like at Travalyst?

Managing Travalyst’s corporate and individual donor base and driving revenue growth through targeted fundraising efforts.

What you’ll get to do:

This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.

Donor Management (~40%)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
• Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
• Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.
• Support high-value donor and corporate partner meetings, preparing personalised correspondence, proposals and briefs.

Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)

• Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team to plan, execute, and manage proposal development and annual appeal processes for fundraising campaigns, including donor and partner events, direct mail, and corporate initiatives.
• Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
• Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
• Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
• Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.
• Secure grant funding through research, proposal development, and managing the grant application process.

 

Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)

• Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
• Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required. 
• Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
• Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
• Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.

General Administration and Team Support (~10%)

• Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.
• Assist with special projects and additional fundraising and partnership tasks as needed.

What skills we’re looking for:

· Experience in fundraising, donor management, or business development, with proven success in partnership building and substantial (ideally 6-7 figure) revenue generation.

· Ideally, Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nonprofit Management, Business Development, Marketing, or related field.

· Superior communication and writing skills, with the ability to edit text written by others and generate new text; experience in crafting compelling pitches and proposals.

· High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and data management (experience with donor databases preferred).

· Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and use project management software (Notion) to plan and track projects and work collaboratively across teams.

· Experience with grant management, writing and corporate engagement strategies.

· Experience with financial reporting and analysis in Excel/Google Suite.

· Strong understanding of sustainability issues, trends and the philanthropy sector, with a track record of aligning donor objectives with environmental and social responsibility.

· Experience working internationally and collaborating with people in diverse cultural and political contexts preferred.

· Ability to work independently and remotely in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.

· Strong alignment with Travalyst’s mission to promote sustainable travel and tourism.

 · Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations, ensuring long-term engagement and revenue growth.

· Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies that align with organisational goals.

Demand for our specialist tutoring programmes for Children Looked After, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) continues to increase and we are seeking an excellent addition to our team to support the increased demand for our provision and to support the continued scaling of our organisation.

The Organisation

Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have 12 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. 

As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes allow students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. The Role

As our Partnerships Director, you will be at the forefront of driving organisational growth, leading our sales and procurement strategy, and positioning Equal Education as a thought leader in the education sector.

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Partnerships Director to lead our sales, procurement, and thought leadership strategy as we scale our impactful programmes for Children Looked After, students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This pivotal role is suited to an experienced professional with deep expertise in public sector procurement, tendering, and B2B/B2G sales, alongside a passion for addressing educational inequality.

A natural communicator, the post-holder will understand the challenges faced by our School and Local Authority Partners. They will be quick to pick up the phone or meet with our valued clients face-to-face, in order to find solutions that work for all and ensure we can deliver our high-quality programmes to students. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership

   • Develop and execute the organisation’s sales, procurement, and partnership strategy to align with growth goals.

   • Drive expansion of Equal Education’s programmes across the UK and into new territories.

   • Support and mentor members of the Partnerships team, including Partnerships Account Managers with a focus on their personal and professional development. 

2. Tendering and Procurement

   • Lead the tendering process, ensuring compelling, compliant, and winning bids.

   • Oversee public sector procurement and contract negotiations with local authorities, schools, and multi-academy trusts.

3. Sales and Relationship Management

   • Build and manage relationships with B2B and B2G partners, including key stakeholders in education and local government.

   • Collaborate with internal teams to align service offerings with market needs.

4. Thought Leadership

   • Represent Equal Education at conferences, panels, and events as a keynote speaker or panellist.

   • Position the organisation as a leader in education innovation and policy through public engagements and publishing thought leadership pieces.

5. Operational Oversight

   • Work closely with programme delivery teams to ensure partnership agreements translate into impactful services.

   • Provide strategic oversight on the commercial aspects of partnership agreements.

Key Deliverables:

Within 3 Months:

• Develop a clear, actionable sales and procurement strategy aligned with organisational goals.

• Identify and prioritise tender opportunities, setting up a pipeline of high-value bids.

• Establish relationships with key stakeholders across local authorities and schools.

Within 6 Months:

• Lead the submission of multiple high-quality tenders, achieving at least one significant new contract win.

• Represent Equal Education at a minimum of two key conferences or industry events, positioning the brand as a thought leader.

• Strengthen B2B and B2G partnerships, expanding the organisation’s network and influence.

Within 12 Months:

• Achieve measurable growth in revenue and programme delivery through new partnerships.

• Expand Equal Education’s presence into at least one new region or territory.

• Build and implement a long-term thought leadership strategy, including regular speaking engagements and published insights.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Expertise in Public Sector Procurement: Proven experience in writing and winning tenders, with a deep understanding of procurement frameworks in the education sector.

• Sales Leadership: Extensive experience in B2B and B2G sales, with a track record of achieving growth targets.

• Contract Negotiation: Skilled in managing complex negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

• Data-Driven: Skilled in working with databases like Salesforce or other CRM and spreadsheets to track high volumes of client information and student outcomes. 

• Local Authority Knowledge: A background in working with or for local authorities is highly desirable.

• Thought Leadership: Demonstrated ability to represent an organisation at events and publish industry-leading insights.

• Strategic Vision: Capable of aligning sales and procurement activities with organisational objectives.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Team work: Be a strong internal influencer, supporting and mentoring the development of your team, as well as working closely with delivery colleagues to ensure we not only match, but exceed client expectations.

Desirable:

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.
