About the role
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of working in government or statutory funding to be responsible for developing institutional donor relationships, both directly and in support of other members of the Institutional Funding team. Working with the Director and Heads of Institutional Funding, the Senior Advisor will lead on contract management and maintain key institutional donor relationships for some of our largest funding agreements. The post holder will engage with senior internal stakeholders at head office, consortium working groups and country offices to support project implementation.
You will join at an exciting time for Sightsavers and the Institutional Funding team as we engage in new partnerships, supporting new contracts and bids. Key accountabilities will include:

The Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to assist the finance team in delivering its objectives and providing effective support to our Awards Management Unit (AMU) programmes and country offices.
Scope and Authority
Authority:
This position assists and works closely with the Project Finance Lead. The position has no line management authority.
Key Working Relationships
· Reports to Project Finance Lead.
· Close coordination with other members of the Finance team.
· Working relationship with the wider Finance & Operations department, Fundraising, US Finance, Country offices and the Awards Management Unit (AMU).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Grants income Allocations and Transfers (20%)
- Donor receipts: Ensure all donor income are identified and allocated to the correct grant and country codes and inform AMU UK, New York and country offices on a timely basis.
- Field Grant transfers: Prepare international fund transfers batches to New York twice a month; ensure grant funding balance is checked using the Funds Available and Bank running balance spreadsheets.
- Ensure all the donor receipts and funds trasfers are posted timely and accurately in Integra.
- Maintain digital files for grant transfers with full supporting documentation attached.
- Assist in providing supporting documents grants/transactions as required by country offices for Field Audits.
- Generate donor payment requests/Invoices on the request of AMU & Fundraising teams and maintain payment request log.
· Prepare non-PO journals to enable payments in Integra
· Process donor refunds and follow up with IRC Inc./Country office to return the funds to the UK and maintain a tracker for Inc./country returns.
· Prepare quarterly IATI report and submit to Project Finance Lead for review.
Grant Balances Reconciliation (65%)
· Reconcile transfers and field expenditure data between UK and New York for all UK grants by end of each month.
· Raise all issues arising from the reconciliations with the Project Finance Lead for quick resolutions with New York and country offices by end of each month so the corrections can be made promptly.
· Ensure each grant is reconciled monthly and added to the main Grants Schedule.
· Prepare grant revenue recognition journals for Project Finance Lead review to ensure completeness and accuracy every month.
· Assist in fund balance reconciliations for all restricted grants and resolution of issues with Project Finance Lead.
· Assist in the reconciliation of UK ledgers with the donor financial reports.
· Work with AMU and IRC, Inc to collate donor financial reports, contracts and amendments for closed grants to ensure that Integra reporting is correct.
· Assist in meeting the month end deadlines.
Other support (15%)
- Request the creation of new project extension in OTIS.
- Ensure any new projects are set up and mapped correctly in Integra
- Maintain UK office bank account templates held in on-line Bank software and amend templates when necessary.
- Ensure SCB digital bank statements are received from the bank and filed in the correct location on the server for all periods and passwords are removed before saving the statements.

The Advice Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Advice Service and for managing and developing the team of Advice Workers, including the Senior Advice Worker who leads on delivery.

Role: Impatience Insiders Project Manager
Contract type: 12 months to start, full time (3-5 day contracts optional)

CONTEXT AND ORGANISATIONAL VALUES
There are millions of highly educated, well-paid, politically engaged people who care deeply about the world. Every morning, they go to work in professional services firms, knowing that the firms they work for and the industries that they are a part of are blockers rather than enablers to a just transition.
They look for ways to ‘make a difference’ internally but fall at every hurdle. They think about quitting but feel financially tied to their jobs. They become accepting of the fact that things are how they are. They become disillusioned and start to feel helplessness and even shame. They offer little value to the just transition that the world needs and that they themselves yearn for.
Impatience Insiders’ job is to get these people organised, educated, and mobilised on terms that work for them, and turn shame and disillusion into action and progress. Our ambition is to fill a gaping hole in civil society organising infrastructure and create a permanent piece of the civil society landscape.
We are looking to build and invest in a series of insider movements in food retail, management consulting, advertising, public affairs and finance. By 2030 we aim to see the ‘insider movement’ model mainstreamed as a vehicle for private but collective activism for corporate insiders. Insider Movements will be thriving within scores of just transition-critical industries. The successes of early insider movements will be well known and held as examples of how insider power can help transform industries and drive a socially just and environmentally regenerative transition.
Your job will be to help seed and support these movements as well as helping build the broader insider ecosystem.
OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity to join and help shape a new and innovative social organisation that is working to train, support and mobilise corporate ‘Insiders’ to help them transform their industries to support a more just and regenerative world.

We are looking for a self-starter who will flourish as a facilitator of insider groups, as a recruiter of Insiders, as an advocate and sector-builder for the insider community, and as someone who can put the building blocks in place for an organisation that is set to grow and flourish.
To begin with, you will be hosted at non-profit Impatience Ltd who are providing hosting support to Impatience Insiders.

Support the Insiders group. Undertaking meeting prep, presenting documents and supporting recruitment and onboarding of insiders;

Help research and identify partners to turn insider insights into campaigns to influence change within the sector;

Help with the organising of the UK’s first ‘Insider Summit’ where we bring together people doing insider work across a range of industries and forms;

Input on the develop the methodology for insider group development;

Support fundraising efforts;

Help with the project-management of external agencies that are conducting delivery work for each project, from conception through to delivery and dissemination with civil society organisations, government, media and/or investors.
