My client is a health-based research charity based in the heart of London. They are looking for an Operations Manager to provide additional support who is comfortable working in senior-level settings and people manage a team of 4-5 Executive Assistants. This role will be fast-paced, and you will be asked to take on all responsibility for various projects. You will be expected to work a minimum of 3 days on-site in their Central London offices.

Your new role

• Manage the team of EAs
• Co-ordinate and deliver all cross-divisional projects, communications, meetings, and wellbeing activities to ensure the effective and smooth running of the division.
• Preparing documents for CEO / CoS including correspondence, reports, minutes, briefing notes and other papers and preparing presentations
• Organising meetings at divisional level, including meetings of the senior management team and external parties
• Manage the team's operational budget, including the tracking of expenditure and review of monthly/quarterly reports. Process expenses and invoices.
• Manage and deliver cross-departmental projects. Act as point of contact for the CEO's office for organisation-wide initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of papers for internal and external meetings, attending such meetings and producing minutes, action logs or programme documentation.
• Undertake any other work that may be reasonably required from time to time 
• Undertake work in accordance with Wellcome policies and principles.

The Role

The Role

We seek a highly-skilled social care professional to join the senior team of our leading local charity, who will provide high-quality support to family carers of adults with a learning disability and/or autism in the London Borough of Merton.

Could this be you?

You will conduct Carers Assessments in which you identify the needs of carers to determine the support they require, which may include financial support, respite care for the person they care for, and practical assistance.  You will form Support Plans with carers which show the ways in which support will be provided to improve their health and wellbeing, and help them in their caring role, and you will assist carers to access appropriate support.  Your periodic reviews with carers will monitor the effectiveness of Support Plans to ensure carers continue to receive the help they need. 

You will work closely with colleagues, the charity’s partners and other organisations to coordinate care and support for carers, facilitating introductions with other care providers and ensuring carers receive information to help them in their caring role.  Key to your work is ensuring services ‘join-up’ so that coordinated, highly professional support is provided to carers.

You will maintain a record of your work by using our databases which you will use to produce quarterly reports and case studies demonstrating the impact of your work.

We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

The Individual Giving & Legacy Manager will play a pivotal role in transforming the income generated to achieve our mission to save lives and enhance the health and wellbeing of our Welsh communities.

• A proven track record in meeting income targets within a defined timescale

About the role

You will be based in the North East and as a key part of our schools team, help to lead, support and advise the regional team of school Pathways Coordinators, embedding the MCR programme in schools in the region.  You’ll need to be highly motivated to ensure that all care-experienced young people and those experiencing disadvantage are supported to find, grow and use their individual talents and that their education, employment choices and life changes outcomes are maximised.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide support, development, training, management and motivation to MCR staff in schools

• Support school integration of the programme and a consistently high quality standard of programme delivery

• Develop and support partnerships with the Local Councils, further and higher education institutions, local business and all MCR stakeholders

• Provide analysis of programme performance, impact and development

About you

• Experience of developing and effectively managing teams and programmes

• Self-motivated and skilled at motivating others

• Experience of or strong interest in working or volunteering in the third sector

• Experience of working within or in collaboration with secondary schools

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise
