About the National Pro Bono Centre:

The National Pro Bono Centre brings together charities dedicated to the providing pro bono legal services and improving access to justice.   We serve as a central resource for charities who help people seeking free legal advice and representation.  Our work fosters collaboration, coordination, and improved service delivery among stakeholders in the pro bono sector. Through our work, the Centre supports the wide range of pro bono projects and brokerage which charities provide; helping individuals and communities all over England and Wales get access to justice.

The role:

Key Responsibilities:

Events Coordination:

• Assist in organising key London events for the National Pro Bono Centre, including:
  • The Commercial Litigators’ Forum (CLF) reception and other evening events and
  • Pro Bono Week events in early November.
• Collaborate with event leads and key stakeholders to define event objectives and support requirements.
• Serve as the main point of contact for speakers and attendees, providing logistical support leading up to and on the day of the events.

Justice Hub Management:

• Bring vision and energy to make the Hub an exciting, collaborative space for access to justice charities.
• Act as the key liaison point for the Founding Members and other organisations using the Justice Hub, managing desk and room bookings.
• Coordinate with the International Dispute Resolution Centre, where the Hub is based, in relation to the operational and administrative management of the Hub.
• Oversee booking systems, health and safety procedures, and office management for the Hub.

It is also anticipated that you will combine both aspects of this role in organising future events at the Justice Hub, bringing together key people from across the legal charity sector to collaborate and share ideas and best practice.

About you:

We are looking for someone with 2 to 4 years proven event management experience and strong office management knowledge. 

As part of the role, you will be required to work in the office at least 2 days per week, with the flexibility to travel to London for supplier and venue meetings when required.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders, charities, and both current and future users of the Hub. 
• Ability to work proactively and on your own initiative, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, including for others.

About the role

This post will work as part of a community partnership programme, a small team providing accessible and bespoke perinatal care including, antenatal education, postnatal sessions, peer support, counselling and practical support to women from low-income migrant marginalised backgrounds. The role will provide non-judgmental, compassionate and trauma-informed care to women accessing the service and provide an initial assessment of needs and regular reviews. This role will coordinate inclusive and sensitive evaluation and data collection methods to evidence service impact and work collaboratively with stakeholders and researchers to enable women to participate in opportunities to share their maternity experience.

· Experience of supporting or working with marginalised or vulnerable groups and understanding the barriers they face to accessing support and an awareness of ways in overcoming them 

· Knowledge and experience working or volunteering with women and birthing people during pregnancy and early years 

· Experience working within a relevant sector e.g., maternity, children’s services, homelessness, women’s services, mental health, supporting asylum and refugee families

ROLE OVERVIEW
 
The Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) will be responsible for stewarding our supporters and donors, helping coordinate the Fundraising department activities and associated administrative duties.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Work with the Individual Giving Manager, Fundraiser (Individual Giving) and wider fundraising team to administer our donor support communication. 
• Administering the individual giving fundraising programme with support from the wider team. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with key RABI stakeholders, partners and associated organisation as agreed by your line manager. 
• Plan, execute and assistant in delivering national and large-scale fundraising activities. 
• Thank all donors in a timely manner via e-mail and letters and keep accurate records.
• Ensure that the database CRM records for our supporters and donors are maintained and up to date. 
• Develop and refine systems and processes to enhance donor experience and support. 
• Responding to general enquiries from the RABI fundraising email address and the fundraising phoneline. 
• Support the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraiser (Individual Giving) on the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns.
• Help plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns and initiatives, ensuring they are executed effectively and efficiently. 
• Liaise across the charity fundraising collateral and support the wider teams in developing materials for community fundraising. 
• Assist the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraiser (Individual Giving) in the oversight of the online RABI shop. 
• Help create and develop a digital income strategy as part of the Fundraising Strategic Framework.
• Provide a first point of contact for individuals who are fundraising for RABI including sending out fundraising packs and providing fundraising guidance and advice. 
• Help ensure that we comply with legal and compliance requirements including industry best practice, GDPR/PECR regulations and the CIOF code of Fundraising Practice.

 
GENERAL:

• Develop and maintain good working relationships and liaison with other members of RABI staff. 
• Be a constructive member of the fundraising team and work cooperatively with other staff members. 
• Take part and contribute to fundraising team meetings. 
• Cooperate with RABI on health and safety matters, taking reasonable care of own and other people’s health and safety within the workplace. Follow and H&S training received and alert RABI to any serious risks. 
• Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with the Charity’s aims and objectives. 
• Liaise with volunteers, clients, contractors and other stakeholders as necessary. 
• Promote the Charity’s work, assisting with demonstrations and in fundraising and awareness events as appropriate.

In 2024, Tower Hamlets received Trailblazer funding to develop and implement new models of community-based mental health care that integrate clinical and voluntary sector provision, in line with  The Community Mental Health Framework.

The Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA) was formed two years ago to create a bold new community-based mental health support service for Tower Hamlets residents. THMHA consists of 18 Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise Sector (VCFSE) service providers that have come together in partnership. The primary criterion for membership is that the organisation either specialises in mental health support or has a significant and growing focus on mental health in its work. Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham, and Redbridge is a member of this alliance.

Alongside THMHA members, Look Ahead, and East London Foundation Trust, we are implementing a new community-based, 24/7 mental health care system that prioritises the tailored needs of individuals facing mental health challenges. The goal is to provide support in a non-hospital setting, preventing the need for more intensive interventions in the future.

Coproduction and Community Engagement (CCE) Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the services at the Barnsley Street Project are designed and delivered in true partnership with the local community. This role is particularly focused on minoritised and underrepresented groups, ensuring their voices are central to service development. The Coordinator: Community Perinatal Services will coordinate and deliver a high quality, trauma-informed service offering specialist emotional and practical support to pregnant women and new mothers for up to 12 months post-birth, who are experiencing multiple disadvantage and living in the community, predominantly in the northeast London area.

The role includes the co-ordination and support of volunteers, who deliver the majority of our birth support service.

The Volunteer Coordinator’s primary focus will be to grow our volunteer programme and act as the first point of contact for all stakeholders for volunteering enquiries. You will be adept and motivated about working with and onboarding volunteers and at building relationships with other organisations, community groups, and networks to enhance the volunteer programme’s reach and impact.

This role will work collaboratively with colleagues in ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported and equipped to contribute meaningfully at every stage of their engagement with us. The role requires successful coordination of volunteer onboarding, training, databases, and supporting the leadership team by providing accurate and timely reports.

The post holder will be responsible for taking ownership of our volunteer programme, build on our existing strategies, ensure helpful resources, plan engaging training sessions and bring a people-focussed mindset to everything you do.

The role will also include administrative support to client facing services teams and finance (2 days a week, 1 day based at Castle Community Centre, Northwich). This includes managing receipt of postal donations, issuing thank you letters, issue of key information documents to service users, managing finance audit trail.

JOB DESCRIPTION

First point of contact

1. Serve as the first point of contact for volunteering enquiries across the organisation and build strong relationships with volunteers and other stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

HOURS:

The contracted hours for this role are 36.25 hours per week, typically worked Monday to Friday. However, both the specific working days and the daily hours within this timeframe can be discussed and agreed upon, based on operational needs

Out-of-office hours activities may be an aspect of this role.

CONTRACT:

All new staff are subject to a six-month probationary period. 4 weeks’ notice is required to terminate employment by either side i.e. the employee or Age UK Cheshire. During the probationary period, one week’s notice is required by either side.

HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT:

From the 1st January to 31st December the basic annual entitlement for full time employees is 25 days, plus an entitlement to Public Bank Holidays and a discretionary entitlement to 1 extra day awarded by the Trustees. Part time staff will have their entitlement pro-rated according to the number of hours they are contracted to work.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust Team Members, this is an exciting role leading on the delivery and development of creative and exciting literacy initiatives and an ambitious Reading Strategy at HMP Stoke Heath, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role is subject to contract award and will be prison-based.

Income generation

· Raise voluntary unrestricted and restricted income through submission of high-quality proposals (60% of time)
