Smart Works is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth. Over the past decade, Smart Works has given over 35,000 women the clothing and confidence they need to succeed.

Building on these strong foundations, the incoming Chief Executive Officer will play an instrumental role in delivering its ambitions to double its reach from 5,000 to 10,000 women annually. They will lead the charity’s work across its eleven existing sites, and drive relevant expansion into other UK cities, supported via strategic fundraising, and partnership with relevant organisations and individuals. They will additionally represent the organisation at external functions and be an ambassador for the Smart Works services, raising the charity’s profile and maximising the impact for its client. We are looking for an experienced executive with a proven track record of delivering impactful change through exceptional leadership, with a specific interest for the empowerment of women.

We have a newly-created role here at Peer Power Youth for a People & Operations Co-ordinator and would love to hear from you. As the name suggests, we're looking for a 'people' person who will really live our values! Someone to be the heart of our office and the first port of call for both the team and external stakeholders. You'll be a whizz with organisation and have experience of providing excellent HR and operational support. You'll also need to be CIPD level qualified in HR to keep the People side of things running smoothly.

It's important for this person to be right in the thick of things, so this is an office-based role and you'll be working from our lovely office in Fivefields. With a friendly team, a social calendar, coffee on tap, dogs, a library, and a range of workspaces, we all really enjoy the space.

Peer Power Youth is a national charity that leads with empathy and does vital work to support young people who have experienced trauma. We care for young people, sometimes at the most difficult times in their lives, and we give them the time they need, for as long as they need. We build on strength and lead with empathy, and we know what’s needed to build trusted relationships and improve support services, because many of us have had similar experiences.

We are at an exciting time in Dandelion Time’s development and will be implementing our new Strategic Plan over the next 4 years. The role of Business, Data and Compliance Manager will play an integral role in supporting the Senior Management Team to do this.

Founded in 2003, Dandelion Time is a growing rural-based charity working with the most vulnerable children affected by trauma and mental health issues. Over the years Dandelion Time has helped thousands of people and intends to transform many more lives as we expand our services in Kent.

In this role you will report to the Director of Finance managing the IT infrastructure, Data Protection, procurement contracts and policy requirements for the Charity to enable it to meet its legal, strategic and operational objectives.

Stoll is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Communications specialist to fill this new role at the organisation.  It is a great opportunity to join Stoll as we expand our work around communications and marketing both internally and externally. Working directly with the Director of Fundraising and Communications you will be joining an expanding Fundraising and Communications team.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian recovery centre for men wanting to overcome their addiction problems. We have created this new part-time position to provide consistent and professional HR support to the organisation, bringing together various roles currently undertaken by a few different staff members.

The role will suit someone who can work under their own initiative (after training in our charity practices), experienced in overseeing the employee journey from recruitment and retention to departure. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, and ensure that the charity is compliant with all relevant legislation. This will involve dealing with all employment matters, building robust policies & procedures, and implementation across the organisation. You would also be responsible for preparing the staff rota and all related administration. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical and administrative tasks with management responsibilities. We anticipate that you'll be based in the office for at least two days out of the three days/24 hours worked per week. This is in a lovely rural setting near Twyford (Reading) and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are ultimately helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. You do not need to live in London to apply for this role, but you will need to consider what you feel is a reasonable commuting distance for the team days in London.

Are you an enthusiastic people-person with a warm and friendly disposition?  We are looking for a collaborative, self-starter to join our hard-working support and outreach team.  Based in Scotland you will be responsible for maintaining our relationships with the main aplastic anaemia specialist treatment centres in Scotland as well as supporting our Scottish community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT). Our team is small, but mighty. Our current Support & Outreach (S&O) team is managed by our S&O Programme Manager and comprises two part-time S&O coordinators who have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately, with a six-month probation period. You will work 14 hours a week during core working hours, your working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit you although we will require you to attend staff meetings which take place on Thursday mornings.

THE APLASTIC ANAEMIA TRUST

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only UK charity providing information, advice and support to people affected by rare disease Aplastic Anaemia. Our vision is that everyone affected by Aplastic Anaemia in the UK should feel empowered and have access to the best possible treatment, care and support so they can lead full and healthy lives. We support our community through one of life’s toughest challenges – diagnosis with a rare bone marrow failure. We currently support around 2,400 people and have around 30 volunteers.

Role Overview:

• Responding to Supporter Enquiries: Handle emails, calls, and postal enquiries, providing high standards of customer service.
• Fundraising Stewardship: Thank supporters and acknowledge key events.
• Platform Management: Manage Just Giving, Go Cardless, and other online payment platforms, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Financial Records: Maintain up-to-date financial records and donor databases.

About the role:

The Advice Service Manager is responsible for all advice team operations and developing the Kinship advice pathway.

You’ll manage a team to deliver a consistent, high quality and effective service. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing systems and monitoring service quality and performance.

Continuously improving the service, embracing digital solutions and creating efficiencies and processes to drive performance, you’ll increase our ability to provide more support to kinship carers across England and Wales.

You’ll ensure that kinship carers are able to access the information and advice they need in an accessible and consistent way within a clear operational framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver high quality, targeted and tailored advice to kinship carers in England and Wales.
• Develop a service framework that delivers a consistent service within clear timeframes.
• Set out clear expectations for enquiry response across all channels.
• Manage daily advice line operations, including work on cases, data and continuous improvement.
• Act as deputy designated safeguarding officer (DDSO) providing clear advice on actions needed when safeguarding concerns are raised.
• Develop and manage a high performing team.

Essential criteria includes:

• Substantial working knowledge of advice service delivery frameworks.
• Working knowledge of call handling and client record systems.
• Working knowledge of assessing the needs of individuals (e.g. social care, financial and legal) to provide appropriate advice and information.
• Substantial experience managing an advice service or similar, ideally in a health, social care or charitable organisation.
• A strong background in advice work with proven experience in an advice-giving role.
