About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the residential activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.
As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Following your time on shift, and in general practice at all other times, you will have responsibility for reporting back to the Service Manager and for maintaining a continual dialogue loop of feedback that focuses on quality, and continuous improvement and learning and ensuring the smooth operation of the allocated group of services.
A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is essential for the role.
About you
• You will have significant, recent experience at a front-line management level in field of learning disabilities in regulated services which may have included being a Registered Manager
• You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations and Health and Safety issues.
• You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role.
• You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or hold a level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this level 5 apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale of 18 months as part of a development plan
• You will have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership especially performance

End Poverty 2030: In 2020, the Edinburgh Poverty Commission published "A Just Capital - Actions to End Poverty," the largest inquiry into poverty in any Scottish local authority. The City of Edinburgh Council has committed to ending poverty by 2030. While grants offer crucial support, we believe systemic change is essential for long-term solutions. Our work focuses on developing effective local actions and investments designed with community input. We also provide tools for accessing benefits and grants through our online and helpline services. We challenge the systems that necessitate our programmes, aiming for long-term change.
Membership of the Committee: The Edinburgh Trust Committee ensures Edinburgh voices are represented and provides scrutiny and assurance to the Turn2us Board. Currently, the Trust is chaired by a Turn2us Trustee and includes two other Trustees, two members appointed by the City of Edinburgh Council (including the Lord Provost), and one independent member.
Opportunity: We are now looking to appoint two more independent members to join us during this exciting time of change. We would like these members to be Experts by Experience - individuals who have lived experience of financial insecurity.
Role of the Committee: The Committee oversees the Trust’s performance and strategic plan implementation; monitors and evaluates programme outcomes and recommends new initiatives; reviews the Trust’s strategy and policies regularly; increases the profile and reach of the Trust; provides local knowledge and experience.
Term: This is an 18-month pilot, with the possibility of reappointment for an additional term, for up to three years. The committee position is unpaid, but expenses are covered. Participation in Lived Experience in Governance Advisory Panel meetings is paid at Turn2us co-production rate of £84/day.
Time commitment: 3 x 3 hours committee meetings per year. 3 x Lived Experience in Governance Advisory Panel meetings. With preparation time, including for example pre-reading of materials and post-meeting follow up actions, this commitment should not exceed 6 days per year.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Finance will provide a stable and flexible finance function to support the charity at an exciting time of growth and development. Working with teams across the organisation, this role is critical to maximising impact through excellent financial management. You will need to communicate with all levels to promote understanding of the finances of the charity, including preparing information to trustees and finance audit and risk committee, as well as being an advisor to the COO and wider Executive team in contributing to forward planning and strategy.
You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the charity and its wholly owned subsidiary. This role will include overseeing and finalising the production of financial management information, leading on the production of budgets, forecasts and financial planning and analysis. The role will take on the main contact for relevant external stakeholders such as bankers, auditors and investment managers and will work closely with, and support, the COO on strategic planning to deliver organisational growth.
WLT has an ambitious growth strategy and is committed to investing in improved systems across the organisation to enhance their delivery. You will play an integral part in the management and delivery of WLT’s programmes, especially relating to cash management, budgeting and financial sustainability.
The ideal candidate will be a finance professional and be ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA qualified or equivalent, with previous experience of leading a finance team within a Charity or similar organisation. With a strong degree of financial acumen, you will have. the ability to liaise and communicate with high level key stakeholders, and create insightful financial information that will direct business planning and performance. You will be an effective team manager who is able to communicate professionally at all levels within the organisation and with proven experience in leading and developing finance teams to be organisational business partners in line with WLT’s stewardship model.

This role involves supporting the Food Service Manager in leading the food service team to deliver exceptional service and exceed visitor expectations. The successful candidate will implement and uphold service standards as outlined in the Food Services Strategy, ensuring top-tier service, presentation, and cleanliness across our restaurant, coffee shop, and event center. In the absence of the Assistant Food Service Manager, the Front of House Team Leader will step in to oversee operations and maintain service quality.
The Front of House Team Leader will play a crucial role in liaising with the management team, maintaining positive relationships within the NMA, and ensuring front of house staff are knowledgeable about daily offerings. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding Food Service Assistants, resolving customer complaints efficiently, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Additionally, the role involves managing stock and cash, assisting with stock takes, and training staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
Qualified candidates will have proven supervisory experience in a similar role and industry, with a good understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations. About the role

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Fellowship Officer (Recruitment) to help us achieve real impact by recruiting Fellows to the RSA to grow and diversify our network of Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. You'll take ownership of some of our key recruitment sources, including attending events, speaking to prospective Fellows and showcasing all that the Fellowship has to offer.
This role is based from RSA House in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.
We are hiring for two positions in this posting. One Fellowship Officer will focus on recruitment through internal and external events. The other will focus on communications and recruitment campaigns.
About You
What we look for in a successful Fellowship Officer (Recruitment) candidate:
- Experience in persuading others to take an action through one-to-one conversations and public speaking, whether in sales, marketing, campaigns or another capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to quickly build rapport with people at all levels and from a diverse range of professions, backgrounds, and enthusiasms.
- Able to apply creative thinking and take initiative in suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Solid knowledge of customer services and response handling.

Horsham Matters - Overview
Horsham Matters is a local Christian charity that works to prevent and relieve poverty throughout our district. We do this by the provision of essential services such as food, fuel and household goods, providing advice and guidance to households in need, and working with partners to address the root causes of poverty. Our work is funded by income generated through donated goods which can be sold in our shop or online, by grants and donations and through public fundraising.
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is a critical role to ensure the smooth running of all our operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for leading a team of staff, volunteers and 3rd party contractors. You will strive to continually improve systems and procedures across the Charity whilst maximising opportunities to increase income.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), which will also require some weekend working (approx. 8 Saturdays/year).
Core Responsibilities:
Operational leadership:
· Line management of Logistics Team including performance management, building capability and training etc.
· Ensure smooth communication and excellent links across Charity buildings
· Ensure the optimal use of the vans for delivery, collections etc., including the planning of routes which are cost effective and time efficient
· Work with the Office Manager team to ensure that the needs of clients requiring household items are met by the Logistics team
· Work with the Store Manager to ensure that the Charity store is stocked appropriately, including arrangements for stock rotation
· Support volunteers to develop their role in the warehouse, providing clear instructions and setting expectations
· Liaise with third party contractors including removals firm, IT contractor and others as required
Safe environment
· Responsible for maintaining a safe environment at our Community Support Centre and other Charitable Activity venues; completing health and safety tasks
· Responsibility for all Horsham Matters buildings, ensuring effective maintenance and building related health and safety
· Ensure vehicles are safe and road worthy, ensuring essential maintenance takes place
· Fully participate and demonstrate best practice including the physical aspects of moving equipment and furniture, as well as driving the van and all other tasks across the logistics sector of the charity
· Ensure that items not suitable for sale are disposed of appropriately and in a timely manner to prevent health and safety issues arising
· Develop and continually review reuse and recycling ensuring that the Charity optimises reuse, as well as maximising revenue
Online sales
· Lead for on-line sales and all other sales avenues excluding our Charity shop (Love it Again) – including ensuring that items are collected, advertised sold and delivered appropriately and maximising gift aid opportunities with donors
· Provide excellent customer service to all members of the public

MLC are working with a leading care organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner to support them following a period of growth.
Reporting into a supportive, dynamic and people-centric Head of Finance, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, with a specific focus on the care homes and supported living side of the business. Although the organisation is well established, this is a fast-moving industry which has gone through rapid change over the past few years and is therefore offers the right candidate a great opportunity to deliver change and make a real difference.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Provide business partnering services across the commercial directorate, including the Legal Director and the Property Director.
- Deliver accurate and insightful budgets and forecasts, with regular analysis of current financial positions and flagging issues ahead of time.
- Support a range of stakeholders with the management of their budgets, holding managers accountable where necessary and overseeing a budget of circa £50m.
- Be one of the ‘faces of finance’, working with the Head of Finance on various SLT and board level reports.
The role is responsible for the whole business area and has end to end oversight of projects within the care and support area. With almost £200m in fixed assets and a major £25m capital expenditure project about to get underway, the role manages a sizeable portfolio which will be highly beneficial for your CV.
