The Finance Officer is responsible for working within the core Wheels for All team to provide finance team support to the wider programme delivery and national staff team. By working with colleagues to maintain financial systems, accurate record keeping and undertake financial administration they will provide the support required to implement and improve the processes needed to maintain the accurate financial management systems which are crucial to supporting the charity’s mission.
This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. You might be studying for an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA) or be qualified by experience. A training package may be available for an applicable accounting qualification.
Title: Finance Officer
Salary: £26,000- £32,000 FTE, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (1 FTE, will consider PT for the right candidate)

Role responsibilities
Financial Administration
• Maintain efficient and accurate computerised financial accounts & bookkeeping records (the organisation currently uses SAGE) including the upkeep of the records management with regular reconciliation activity according to standard processes.
• Receive and process invoices for payments to/ from suppliers.
• Record income from users, supporters, donors, members etc and maintain up to date records of income received.
• Analysing our donations ensuring accurate income allocation and consider any Gift Aid submissions.
• Liaising with and responding to enquiries from colleagues, suppliers, and partners.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting, quarterly management accounts, any Gift Aid claims and annual audit.
• Process employee expenditure claims & assisting with the preparation of payroll.
• Supporting the preparation for the annual audit, e.g. fixed asset records and maintain the fixed asset register
• Supporting colleagues on finance procedures and protocols and advising colleagues on finance queries.
• Liaising with staff and volunteers to process expense claims accurately and timely.
• To support the Finance Manager in reporting back on budget-to-budget holders
• Support departments in providing detailed financial analysis work which aids their work.
Outcomes: The charity has accurate high quality financial management records which support the efficiency of operations.
Programme Support
• Administer, track, and record petty cash and staff expenses.
• Support budget monitoring & reconciling of programme expenditures. Answering queries, seeking appropriate clarifications & making inquiries of coded expenditures, and providing up to date information to the wider staff team.
• Assist the Finance Manager in creating financial reports to enable tracking and monitoring of spend, regular budget monitoring and in reporting to funders.
Outcomes: The staff team have the financial information and support centrally to run effective projects with partners and volunteers, and to report to trustees and external funders.
Compliance
• Ensuring your work is carried out with excellent attention to detail to the required quality standards and adhering to internal financial management procedures.
• Provide documentation to facilitate programme operations, including grant documents and funder reports.
• Support the Finance Manager in ensuring the charity is compliant with contractual and legal obligations.
Outcomes: The charity is fully complaint with company and charity legislation;
and best practice regarding financial management.
Accountability and relationships
The Finance Officer will be accountable to the Finance Manager and will be a key member of a small finance team (up to 3 people). They will work closely with a core office team and other members in the national Wheels for All network. They will also have a working relationship with suppliers, partners, and volunteers. They will be expected to attend regular staff meetings and supervision sessions.

Skills/knowledge
• Proven experience in all areas of accounts - purchase and sales ledger, banking and cash management, basic management accounts.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Understanding of bank reconciliations, control accounts and other day to day financial management procedures.
• Good knowledge of customer relations management and database software, (for example Salesforce).
• Knowledge of financial management systems/software, ideally Sage.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly excel and an ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Good time management and problem-solving skills.
• An accountancy qualification or studying for (e.g. AAT, ACCA), or proven qualification by experience.
• An understanding or awareness of how to manage restricted and unrestricted funds & common charity VAT & taxation issues an advantage.
• Good organisational and time management skills to be able to prioritise workloads effectively, meet deadlines and monitor outcomes.

We create events and programmes that explore commonalities and shared narratives of people across all faiths and those of differing perspectives. We are now looking for our next hire - an experienced Operations Manager - to help us support our ambitious plans.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This newly created role will be responsible for defining, shaping and implementing key processes and systems related to programme management, and overall business operations including finance. These processes will enable us to streamline our business and support the needs of our companies programmes and funding requirements.
In addition, this role will be responsible for overseeing our facilities management and internal operations to ensure we are compliant and have H&S at the heart of everything we do.
What you will be responsible for:

Be responsible for all aspects of the management, development and maintenance of SCA Port Hope building, site and its external premises.
-
Ensure statutory inspections and routine checks on health and safety and security are scheduled, undertaken, accurately recorded and, where appropriate, and reported in a timely fashion. This includes fire and security alarm systems and equipment, any others that are relevant.
-
Liaise with relevant authorities in the management of the site and buildings eg the Environment Agency, Birmingham City Council etc as required.
-
Manage the provision of services eg insurance and utilities, working with the Executive Director to undertake due diligence and secure competitive quotes.
-
Oversee the company’s compliance with all legislative and contractual requirements.
-
Commission and manage relationships with all contractors working within the buildings and external premises, including maintenance as required.

Plan the delivery of all capital works to the building with the production manager (funding pending)
-
Act as a key-holder and be on call should issues occur out of hours.
-
Ensure procedures and processes are followed to protect the security of the buildings and site.

Work with the freelance staff to ensure they have the appropriate training on Health and Safety, First Aid, Manual handling etc.

Prepare required reports and recommendations for Team, Board and funders as required.

Manage operational contracts such as refuse collection, etc.

Lead on the organisation’s Health and Safety Strategy, including provision of adequate first aid and fire safety.

Oversee and ensure implementation and communication of site and operational risk assessments.

Ensure compliance with all legal obligations and licensing requirements including: Public Entertainment, Health and Safety, PAT testing etc.

Take a lead on SCA environmental responsibility, ensuring SCA seeks to reduce its carbon footprint and we operate as efficiently as possible, including waste disposal, disposal of used areosols, recycling schemes and reporting of such to funders.

Advance planning of production schedules in conjunction with the Studio Assistant to ensure that events can be set up in good time.

Ability to support a variety of configurations of our multi-purpose space with some basic technical knowledge. Specialist training will be provided. This will include audio visual display equipment, basic sound systems, setting up multi party Zooms, seating and desk configuration.
ABOUT YOU:

Experience of managing the maintenance and operation of buildings.

Knowledge of safety and workplace legislation and experience of managing and delivering a policy and activity eg risk assessment writing and review.

Experience of setting and managing budgets and financial projections to ensure best use of resources through prioritisation and planning.

Main Purpose of the Job
The Digital Enabler will work with the District Leadership Team and the Communications Officer to build the digital communications capacity of the District at every level, to facilitate effective participation by all members in the life of the church in the North West District, and to make use of new opportunities for mission and community-building in the digital sphere.
Key Responsibilities
1.Ensure that the District leadership is able to fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring there are reliable digital platforms for online, live-streamed and recorded meetings and events, for electronic dissemination of information (via web, social media and mailings), and audio and video recording and sharing..
2.Enable all members of churches in the District to have the opportunity for participation in District forums and events, and to receive information from their District and Circuits.
3.Co-operate with District and Circuit leaders, ministers and pioneers in the development of new forms of mission and church communities using a range of digital resources.
Key Tasks
Training and Support
1.Create a digital strategy for the District, identifying the essential resources and support needed to enable full participation at every level, and the opportunities for missional work in the online world.
2.Support the administration and governance of the District by facilitating online synods, committees and consultations.
3.Build a network of “digital champions” within Circuits and provide advice and support for local training and capacity building.
4.Devise and deliver online training courses for Circuits and churches.
5.Develop a “Digital Community of Practice” across the District, and linking where appropriate across the Connexion, which will envisage and create new ways of being and growing church in the digital age.
6.Work with safeguarding officers to raise awareness of digital safeguarding issues, and create usable information and guidelines for Circuits and churches.
Facilities and Resources
1.Work with the Communications Officer in building and maintaining the District’s online presence, including the website and social media.
2.Develop a range of digital tools and resources for the use of the District and its Circuits, and assist in their implementation. (These could include servicing local website and social media initiatives, plan-making and emailing applications.)
3.Collect and disseminate information on digital specialists in the District who can serve Circuits and churches. (This could include graphic designers, web and database programmers, audio-visual and streaming experts and others.)
Events and Online Communities
1.Provide technical support for online and live-streamed District events, including advertising, registration and ticketing, online and streaming facilities.
2.Work with the Mission Area Leads, Circuits and pioneers in implementing digital services, online communities and missional initiatives.
Personal Training and Growth
1.Maintain an awareness of changes in digital applications and resources, and consider how they can be used in the District.
2.Identify opportunities to expand knowledge and understanding, including by appropriate courses.

You’ll be interviewing patients who have been recently discharged from hospital to capture their experiences of hospital discharge and follow-up support. You’ll collate and report on their feedback, so it can be used by the teams of professionals working together to ensure discharge and post-discharge support works effectively for all. You'll have a key role in liasing with an integrated team of professionals to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the project and ongoing compliance with data processing agreements.

Saint Paul’s is a dynamic church at the centre of our capital city, London. We have a vision to Encounter God and Awaken the City. Our Youth Ministry has grown over the past two years, and we have a strong team of volunteers who enjoy serving and leading. Our Sunday morning youth groups see up to 40 teenagers each week, with Friday nights gathering 20-25 at the moment. At our 5pm service we often see 40-60 teenagers attending – many of whom don’t attend any of the other groups (yet!). We are seeing young people with a confidence to invite friends and share their faith, and anticipate a season of growth ahead.
We’re surrounded by secondary schools, with a huge potential for mission and chaplaincy. We have strong links with Onelife who are based at Saint Paul’s, the HTB network and Stewards Trust. We also have a SPEAR centre at Saint Paul’s where we run up to 6 programmes a year helping young people who face a variety of challenges to accessing employment.
Overall purpose of the role
As our Youth Pastor, you will be part of the Emerging Generations team, which is currently in a fun and exciting position of rebuilding and pioneering a new way of ministry for our Kids, Youth & Students.
We’re looking for someone with a clear sense of calling to develop our vision to see many young people come to know Jesus. You’ll need a proven track record of shaping a growing youth ministry, equipping young people to become disciples who lead and influence the world around them.
We’ll give you space to pioneer projects which ensure the spiritual, mental, emotional, and relational health of young people. Recognising and releasing gifted volunteers and teams will be essential if we are to continue seeing the momentum that has been building.

Main Responsibilities of the Role
· Communicate and inspire the vision of Saint Paul’s Hammersmith to our youth (11-18 years).
· Grow a healthy and spiritually mature youth ministry through cultivating both one-to-one and group relationships.
· Develop a mentoring/discipleship network for young people to be spiritually supported in their faith journey.
· Create and deliver a plan of mission to meet the needs of local unchurched young people, with a particular vision to build strong relationships with local schools, and maximise opportunities of connecting with SPEAR.
· Innovate, plan, and execute youth events and activities in collaboration with strong volunteer teams.
· Lead, equip and develop the volunteer youth team, offering spiritual guidance and practical training, ensuring they are well supported to facilitate all that is required of them in the youth ministry and beyond.
· Build good relationships with parents, helping them to understand the work of SPH Youth as well as connect and support each other in discipling their teenagers.
· Ensure SPH youth is a safe space for all young people and team, following up on DBS checks and safeguarding training and policies.
Experience
· Good experience of working with young people, with a demonstration of how they have grown in their discipleship.
· A track record of recruiting and building committed volunteer teams.
· Excellent communication skills to mobilise and encourage youth, volunteers and parents.

Strategy and Project Management

IcFEM Dreamland Mission is a Christian charity set up to help fund and support the work of IcFEM in
Kenya. We had been running for almost 20 years with volunteers
running a home-based UK office. Three years ago we employed staff in the UK for the first time. We
currently have income of £350k- £400k a year depending on the projects running. IcFEM Kenya is a
locally run organisation based at Kimilili in Western Kenya. IcFEM Kenya runs community projects as
well as a school and hospital. The past five years has seen our work grow significantly, including the
school and hospital which have developed into large institutions that are valued by the community
in Kimilili and fit well into the local government set up.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to see our ministry grow and is experienced at
blending trust in God with human endeavour.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who has experience of the charity sector and is prepared to
be flexible and adaptable to the needs of this small charity. There is the potential for flexibility within
this role and we would be willing to discuss a variation in hours worked. Some occasional evening or

Introduction
This role is an exciting opportunity to positively impact the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in Sheffield. It is a post which we are looking to fill with an organised, empathetic and proactive individual. In the post you will have the opportunity to develop and manage the City of Sanctuary Sheffield volunteer team. You will be a vital part of the running of City of Sanctuary Sheffield - ensuring that the volunteer team is inclusive, cohesive and well trained and that it supports all the incredible work that City of Sanctuary Sheffield do. Crucially, you will ensure that people seeking sanctuary remain at the heart of the volunteer team – guiding our work, contributing to the team, and growing in themselves.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Induction

Volunteer recruitment – Conduct advertising and recruitment to ensure that there are enough people applying to volunteer at CoSS; ensuring people seeking sanctuary are aware of the opportunities available and able to access them.

Inductions – Lead and further develop inductions for new volunteers ensuring that these sessions are well attended and are accessible to volunteers from all backgrounds.

Initial support - Support new volunteers to start volunteering at CoSS and facilitate an initial probation period during which more support is available to each volunteer.

Administration - Work with the CoSS Administrator to conduct required administration associated with inducting new volunteers and running the volunteer team.
Volunteer Training and Progression

Volunteer Training – Deliver a wide range of training for the volunteer team that covers key essential areas alongside other training needs that may arise.

Training for people seeking sanctuary – Provide additional support to people seeking sanctuary to access a wide range of training and development opportunities.

Volunteer Reviews - Conduct regular volunteer reviews and meetings to gather feedback and to celebrate the work of the team.
Volunteer Socials and Personal Support

Volunteer Wellbeing - Support the wellbeing of volunteers and provide spaces for them to share and work through the challenges faced.

Volunteer Socials - Organise volunteer socials throughout the year.

Code of Conduct - Ensure all volunteers adhere to the CoSS code of conduct and manage issues that arise using CoSS's established policies and procedures.
The Sanctuary

Work alongside the rest of the CoSS team, to ensure the smooth-running of The Sanctuary, our unique welcome centre for people seeking sanctuary.
Additional duties and Line Management

The context of our work is constantly changing. Additional duties that reflect the changing needs of the organisation may be required including possible line management of other staff members.
