About The Role
You will be working in a collaborative, fast-paced and creative environment and will play a key role within our Engagement Team to strengthen Youth Music’s relationships with individual givers. This role will focus on engaging individuals to support our mission, managing relationships with community supporters, and delivering strategies to enhance community fundraising and individual giving.

About You

You are a motivated and relationship-driven individual who is passionate about music and making a difference. You will have a strong ability to engage, motivate and influence prospective and existing individual givers, a strategic mindset for fundraising and supporter engagement, and excellent stewardship skills. Your ability to build lasting relationships with our donors and community fundraisers will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities 

• Create and execute a strategic plan for growing community fundraising and individual giving, and monitor and evaluate the impact of this.
• Take ownership of Youth Music’s guestlist donation initiative, securing gigs to add an optional donation in aid of Youth Music.
• Support the Philanthropy Lead in cultivating major donor relationships and co-investment opportunities with charitable trusts and foundations. 
• Support the Ambassador & Supporter Engagement Manager and Philanthropy Lead with administration of onboarding Youth Music advocates and Change Makers.
• Lead on the administration and organisation of community fundraising events/activities. You will support challenge event participants with their fundraising by liaising with them before and after events, ensuring they feel prepared and have the Youth Music resources they require.
• Work with the Communications Team to make the most of the exciting communications opportunities that exist in the run-up to, during and after fundraising activities and events - including helping to collect, create and distribute photos, videos, news stories, interviews and social media posts.
• Lead on Gifts in Wills and Legacy Giving.
• Manage our fundraising reconciliation, carefully producing donation reports and logging donor information on Salesforce.

Other roles will include supporting the Engagement team with an array of day-to-day tasks such as:

• Provide supporter care; taking and responding to supporter enquiries via phone, email or post.
• Work on securing gifts, raffle prizes and other sponsorship to elevate community events and fundraisers.
• Manage the fundraising enquiries inbox and be the first point of contact for receiving donations and giving advice on how to fundraise for Youth Music.
• Contribute to Youth Music’s media channels to promote and support campaigns and events.
• Update Salesforce with accurate information about all donations and fundraising activities, and support others in its training and use. 
• Ensure that all fundraising processes are compliant with GDPR regulations and Fundraising Regulator practice.
• Keep up to date with trends in community fundraising, corporate fundraising and charity events.
• Attend evening events as required, including potential travel and overnight stays. 
• Be proactive in identifying opportunities for learning and professional development to ensure excellence and continuous improvement.
• Represent Youth Music at events.

Person Specification

Minimum Criteria

• Two years experience of working in a fundraising/similar role.

The Role

​This post will operate at a national level alongside similar posts in the rail industry. It will seek to develop ties with all train operator and Network Rail communications team and will play a key role in delivering Samaritans messages at a national level.

About the Role:

As a Stalking Caseworker you will:

• Manage your own caseload of service users which will include safety planning, risk and need assessing and completing an action plan with the service user
• Complete in depth needs assessments to complete actions such as advocating with the police or other criminal justice agencies, voluntary sector or statutory sector services
• Signpost or refer service users to other services and may signpost to online tools and resources

About the role

The Refugee Council’s services strategy is aimed at delivering high impact, sustainable services that are centred on the needs of people seeking asylum and refugees in the UK, and improving the system of support that they rely on for their safety and future lives in local communities. We seek to significantly improve early access to information, advice and support for people seeking asylum and refugees in crisis and those seeking to integrate into the UK.

In December 2023, with consultancy support, we designed an exciting youth service strategy with a delivery model centred around children’s needs and with the vision for change on how separated children and young people are treated in their asylum journey by creating holistic casework, high quality joined up relationships across the organisation, collaboration with local partners and supporters through learning and sharing best practice to transform their experience and bring systemic change.

The Age Dispute work sits within the Youth Casework team, and we seek to deepen the impact by supporting more children and young people now dispersed across England and who are wrongly age assessed of assumed as over 18 by the Home Office and/or by the local authorities. The age disputes casework adviser will bring expertise to provide specialist casework to challenge incorrect age assessments, use experience to deal and prioritise high risk cases, work with various stakeholders including legal representatives, statutory agencies, and collaborate with others in sector to develop, learn and share best practice resources in casework provision. The postholder will maintain an understanding of the changing practice in relation to age assessments in particular and the wider policy landscape, work with colleagues in the Youth Services and in consultation with the Youth Services Manager, liaise with other relevant Refugee Council teams, including advocacy, practice development, youth involvement, In-Form to use casework evidence to address inequities in policy and practice.

Based within the Youth Services of the Refugee Council, the Age Disputes Casework Adviser will be responsible for:

• Working with children and young people to understand their experiences and needs.
• Working closely with other Age Disputes Casework Advisers and the Youth Services Manager to identify and review high risk and complex cases that need prioritising and create effective internal case triage and allocation systems.
• Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the needs of young people with disputed age are recognised and met.
• Identifying age assessment policy and practice issues impacting on the lives of separated children for possible action via strategic litigation with legal representatives and advocacy colleagues.
• Maintaining expert casework knowledge and understanding of the environment and barriers that separated children seeking asylum face in with regards to the assessment of their age, and issues related to access to high quality information, advice and legal representation on immigration, asylum and welfare, and always learning and sharing the knowledge with others.

ABOUT THE ROLE

HOURS: Full-time (35 hrs per week, Mon-Fri) is available. Other more flexible arrangements would be considered.

SALARY: £32,654-£36,124pa + £500 training budget

START DATE: This post is available from May 2025

CONTRACT TYPE: 24 months fixed term with a view to extending, however this is funding dependent.

You will be based from our flagship space in East Finchley but may also be required to travel across the borough of Barnet. Whilst we try to keep things consistent, we require everyone to work flexibly as required to ensure adequate staff ratios across our provision.

Hospital Liaison Worker

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum

The Role

Using a caring, compassionate and trauma informed approach you will be engaging with individuals who have been admitted to hospital and have a substance use support need. You will deliver a range of interventions including advice, harm reduction and structured psycho-social interventions. You will work closely alongside colleagues within the hospital to ensure that appropriate support is offered to all those in need.

The post will work within the Likewise alcohol and other drug service to establish a high quality hospital liaison service for patients; ensuring and providing appropriate assessments, interventions and co-developing multi-agency discharge plans and pathways to reduce relapse and hospital readmission. 

Based within the local hospitals, the post will ensure effective communication with relevant hospital departments (e.g. Mental Health, Hepatology & Gastroenterology, A&E, Maternity) and externally with Together and other community services (e.g. GPs, outreach, housing and community justice services). 

The post will provide advice, guidance and training to healthcare professionals in recognition, treatment & management of alcohol and other drug related problems, including the delivery of brief interventions. 

As a Hospital Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Attending hospital ward rounds and maintaining good communication with hospital staff.
• Responding to hospital liaison referrals from within the hospital.
• Delivering interventions to clients face-to-face and over the phone.
• Working autonomously to manage a caseload of their service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions. 
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community

You will be responsible for leading on the perinatal mental health project across the region. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading on perinatal peer support across the region.

Programme Officer

We are looking for a Programme Officer to join this charitable programme based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with a mission of working in partnership to improve healthcare globally.

Position: Programme Officer

Location: Hybrid working to include days in the office on Cambridge Biomedical Campus

This is an exciting and busy role with broad responsibilities across the programme and includes project management and administration.
