We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Receptionist and Challenge Event Assistant, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
The Challenge Events team sits in the Community Fundraising team and manages our participation in some of the UKs biggest events, including the London Marathon and Royal Parks Half Marathon, as well as managing our own bespoke treks and cycles. We provide support to thousands of patients and their friends and family who take part in runs, treks, cycles and many other challenges which raises millions for the Charity every year.
This role is the first point of contact for many supporters of the Charity. It is also an integral part of the Challenge Events Team, assisting with managing a portfolio of third-party challenge events. Dealing directly with supporters and liaising with teams across the Charity, the role requires an effective communicator, with great attention to detail, who is proactive and has a passion for fundraising.

You will be part of a multi-agency team providing person-centered support focusing on holistically addressing a range of personal wellbeing issues faced by service users referred by the Probation Service. Interventions will focus on addressing the following:
- Support around families and other significant relationships
- Support to reduce social isolation and improve decision-making/lifestyle choices
- Support with emotional wellbeing
- Provide through the gates support for those leaving prison.
You will be part of a comprehensive name of the team/function service delivering across St Giles Trust that is mindful of, and promotes our Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic aims.

The role involves supporting the management of HMPPS Contracts delivering Personal Wellbeing services across Wales, based in Wrexham with frequent travel. It requires managing a team, ensuring compliance with performance indicators, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
(1) Key Deliverables
- Provide operational management across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Personal Wellbeing services in Wales.
- Provide leadership and operational management to a team of Personal Wellbeing Coaches (PWBC) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of the contracts.
- Set performance objectives with PWBC’s and monitor progress ensuring compliance with contractual performance indicators and quality improvement, ensuring St Giles Wise partnership meets all its targets and outcomes.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance to ensure compliance with policy and procedures including safeguarding of staff, service users and the wider public.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with local Wales Probation managers and staff as well as other external stakeholders e.g. prison managers, ensuring communication channels are positive and effective.
- Manage partnerships including local and national delivery partners, spot purchase providers and any agencies with whom we are developing referral arrangements.
- Manage and co-ordinate allocated resources including volunteers and spot purchase funds.
- Provide management and oversight of allocated contract budgets.
- Ensure there is a safe and trusting working environment for staff with a culture which is aligned with St Giles Wise values and facilitates a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
- Work closely with other St Giles Wise Managers to ensure consistency of approach and sharing of best practice.
- Provide regular reports in a range of formats to Personal Wellbeing Manager.
- Monitor use of the Customer Approved Database including regular reports on usage to ensure accuracy and timeliness of inputting by teams.
- Support the management and delivery of our weekday telephone helpline (5pm-8pm) and occasional Saturday drop-ins safely and effectively.
- Positively represent the St Giles Wise partnership in all external meetings including conferences, seminars, and other events.
- Proactively adopt a learning approach to the role, improving skills and knowledge to continue providing a high-quality service for service users.
- Understand and adhere to all SGW policy and procedures including diversity, health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.
(2) Knowledge & Experience
Experience
- Experience of managing and supervising staff to successfully deliver services with KPI’s, quality standards and/or targets. (A)
- Experience of working in or managing services supporting male offenders including young adults whether in community or prison settings (A)
- Experience of working in or managing services supporting challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused (A)
- Experience in working in or managing multi-agency partnerships working towards common objectives and outcomes.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lead large teams across a wide geographical area and achieve contracted outcomes to expected standards (A).
- Ability to coach and mentor staff to motivate and facilitate optimum performance in a team; encourage them to find innovative, safe ways to work with service users to identify and find informed solutions to the challenges faced by them (A)
- Ability to create and communicate performance and budgetary reports in a variety of formats.
- Strong IT skills including proven experience of using Word, Excel, and Outlook in a similar work environment. This includes ability to use online video communication platforms (eg. Microsoft Teams, Zoom)

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Lincolnshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, Children’s homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

Purpose of the role
The role of the Project Officer – CSO Services will lead on the coordination and management of international pro bono legal opportunities. A key focus of this role is to engage with CSOs globally, to scope potential partners and areas which require, or would benefit from, pro bono legal assistance. This will support A4ID’s weekly pro bono projects and larger strategic projects.
The Project Officer – CSO Services will also manage larger strategic projects, which will include maintaining records, gathering feedback, reporting on progress internally, collaborating with other teams in need of relevant expertise, drafting external comms, and implementing other internal administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes).
Larger strategic projects involve collaborating with multiple stakeholders (including large international CSOs, smaller local CSOs, large international law firms, smaller local law firms, and other delivery partners and legal experts) to effectively and efficiently deploy pro bono legal services to support the missions of respective CSOs. The Project Officer – CSO Services will work as part of the wider PBLS team on such projects.
On smaller brokerage projects, the Project Officer – CSO Services will establish connections with CSOs, identify potential areas for support and provide an initial scope of potential projects.

BIAS’s housing advice service supports members of the local Irish community with a range of complex housing issues, including homelessness, rehousing, tenancy sustainment and disrepair. We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic person to join our friendly advice team. Your role will involve contributing to the day-to-day running of BIAS’s advice service, providing specialist advice on housing via one-to-one client appointments, completing casework and advocating for positive outcomes for your clients.
You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and clients, excellent organisational skills and the ability to digest complex briefs. You will be required to manage an active caseload, ensuring that cases are appropriately actioned and recorded and that deadlines are met.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

These are the basic duties required of the Housing Adviser. We are seeking a talented Digital Marketing Officer to oversee our UK and USA website's performance, ensure smooth functionality, and manage paid social media campaigns. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, marketing knowledge, and strategic thinking to enhance our digital presence and drive business growth. You will report into the Head of Marketing and be part of the Communications and Marketing team.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing, updating, and maintaining the UK & USA websites (WordPress).
- Ensuring overall performance optimisation to enhance navigation and improve the user experience
- Implementing SEO best practices and on-page optimisation.
- Designing and creating landing pages for various marketing campaigns and events, including developing compelling web copy content.
- Tracking and analysing website traffic, user behaviour, and conversions using Google Analytics
- Developing and executing paid social media campaigns across platforms in partnership with our media agency (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
- Creating compelling ad creatives and copy in collaboration with the design team.
- Monitoring, analysing, and optimising campaign performance based on KPIs.
- Supporting the Head of Marketing in developing and executing creative, multi-channel campaigns to drive audience acquisition and conversion across the UK and USA.
You should have:
- Demonstrable experience in digital marketing, website management, and paid social media campaigns.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Google Ads.
- Experience working within digital communications and proven track record in delivering digital campaigns to grow profile and engagement and drive action.
- Experience in writing compelling and effective copy to engage with specific audiences.
- Experience in reporting on campaign performance and presenting findings in clear and engaging ways.
- Good understanding of online user experience, usability and accessibility, online publishing standards and technologies.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and website performance optimisation.

Blue Marine aims to restore health to the ocean and has advocated for large scale marine protection in Jersey since 2018. From 2021, our local team has been based on the Jersey, engaging with the fishing industry, educating local communities and children, partnering with government and local organisations, and leading local research to help inform better management. Through research and advocacy Blue Marine influenced development of the first Jersey Marine Spatial Plan and is supporting the introduction of a network of Marine Protected Areas. Our ‘snorkel trail’ and low-impact seafood initiatives have also helped to strengthen the sustainable use of Jersey’s seas.
Blue Marine requires a Jersey Project Officer (Maternity Cover) to assist in delivering our research, education and fisheries engagement work in Jersey. The role will report to Blue Marine and be based at the National Trust for Jersey HQ.

About the project
Jersey’s waters, with their kelp forests, seagrass and maerl beds, showcase some of the best shallow marine habitats in northern Europe and many are important ‘blue carbon’ stores. Of Jersey’s 2,455 square kilometres of territorial sea, 6.5 per cent is designated as Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), where mobile fishing gear (trawling and dredging) is prohibited, but other fishing (pots, hook and line, diving and static nets) is allowed.
Since 2018, Blue Marine has undertaken research alongside partners on-island and UK academic institutions to assess the benefits of Jersey’s existing MPAs. This evidence underpinned our proposal for a well-managed network of MPAs closed to mobile fishing gear, to cover over 30 per cent of Jersey’s territorial waters, our overarching project goal.
In October 2023, the Jersey Government released its first draft Marine Spatial Plan, to fulfil its international obligations, under the 2022 Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which requires 30 per cent of the environment to be protected by 2030. The MSP includes proposals for a network of MPAs covering 23 per cent of Jersey’s waters with the intention of increasing protection to 30 per cent of Jersey’s marine space by 2030. With Jersey’s MSP approved, there is now the prospect of securing tangible marine protection
The Jersey Project aims to enhance marine protection through three key interventions:
- Research: a four-year PhD, multiple MSc studies and collaborative research has built a strong evidence base for marine protection.
- Supporting low-impact fisheries: our initiative, Jersey Hand Dived was developed to improve community awareness of sustainable seafood choices and low-impact fishing practices.
- Education and engagement: our snorkel trail education programmed provides the opportunity for 420 children to be guided through an immersive snorkelling experience every year.
General Duties:
- The Project Officer will work with the Channel Islands Project Manager, wider Blue Marine team and collaborators on Jersey (and other Channel Islands) to deliver local workstreams which benefit people, nature and climate.
- The Project Officer will be based at The National Trust for Jersey, The Elms, St Mary and the post holder will be expected to integrate, support and be an active member of The National Trust for Jersey team.
Role and Responsibilities:
The postholder shall be assigned to perform their duties as Blue Marine and the National Trust for Jersey together. These activities will include:
- Day to day support to the Channel Island Project Manager to deliver Blue Marine’s Jersey project.
- Lead on the delivery of Blue Marine’s Snorkel Trail initiative and paired education programme.
- Lead on the development of sustainable seafood initiatives such as Jersey Hand Dived (JHD).
- Deliver wider education activities and assist with local outreach such as work experience and volunteer opportunities.
- Support Blue Marine funded marine research and monitoring which is specifically relevant to the achievement of Blue Marine’s aims.
- Support engagement and maintenance of relationships with Government, fishing industry, NGOs, funders, relevant stakeholders and the public.
- Create regular social media posts and content for Blue Marine initiatives particularly Jersey Hand Dived and Jersey Snorkel Trails.
- Represent Blue Marine at local events, including presentations and networking.
- Provide support where required to National Trust for Jersey for marine activities.
- Assist in the development of projects across the wider Channel Island region.
Candidate profile:
Essential
- Relevant qualification and experience of marine science, marine conservation or fisheries.
- Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative.
- Comfortable and competent in working with schoolchildren and coordinating and delivering education initiatives.
- Great inter-personal skills and managing relations across all sectors of the community.
- Excellent written and communication skills, able to adapt style to a wide range of audiences
- Command of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Basic Sea Survival Qualification. Any required training will be provided.
