2025 is a pivotal time for our small, family centred Charity as we move into our 22nd year. This year our Board will be defining our new mission and preparing for implementation. We're seeking new trustees to join us to contribute to our new mission and define the Charity's direction as we conclude our first mission in late 2025.
The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) is a small multi-award winning, family-centred charity, delivering both in-person and virtual interventions and experiences in the UK - these moments-in-time are called Muscle Dreams, designed specifically for children & young people (8-28yrs) with the muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy (MD).
MHF’s impact is felt by beneficiaries and their families across the UK – from improved confidence, greater self-esteem, and an increased sense of hopefulness to a powerful shared identity that connects families, giving a platform to share knowledge, memories and establish lasting friendships.

We are looking for Trustees who have a passion to take the charity forward, to grow impact, to leave a personal legacy and to feel the sense of personal fulfilment from the time they volunteer.

REQUIREMENTS + KEY CRITERIA
Commitment to the charity’s values, bags of enthusiasm, an understanding and passion for our work, great comms skills and a real desire to want to make a difference to the lives of our vulnerable community. You may have experience of living with muscular dystrophy, other disabilities or life limiting conditions, but this is not essential.
MAIN BOARD MEETINGS + EXPENSES
Trustee Board meetings take place virtually. They are usually 2hrs. Over and above this time commitment, trustees on average, depending on their role, may give additional time in being directly involved in occasional ad projects – MHF Trustees ‘own’ a ‘bucket’, in other words, an area of responsibility like HR, Fundraising, Safeguarding, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Risk or Campaign Management that allows an individual to bring their skills, experience and talents to the charity. Reasonable expenses will be covered.

Cedarwood Festival is seeking a new Treasurer to join the growing board team for 2025 and beyond. The new member will play a key role in the growth of the organisation and join an experienced team, passionate about the expansion of the gospel and unity in the north of England.

Role Purpose:
Responsible for the overall financial health and compliance of the organisation. Producing financial reports, developing strategies to support the charity objectives. Guiding and advising Trustees in making sound business decisions in the long and short-term.
Role Duties:
• Monitor the financial operations with event director, such as payroll ifapplicable, invoicing, and other transactions.
• Monitoring and managing cashflow, forecasting, income and expenditure.
• Oversee outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, andother financial needs as necessary
• Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas forpotential improvement

• Produce financial reports for Trustees

TRUSTEE OPPORTUNITY
The charity are looking to appoint three Trustees and have identified the following skill areas of interest;
- HR experience - Ideally leading HR strategy, ensuring legal compliance, delivering L&D strategy, pay & reward frameworks and fostering a positive work culture
- Policy, Influencing & Public Affairs experience - ideally working in policy, influencing and/or public affairs. We would also welcome media partnerships and media campaigns experience
- Fundraising strategy and implementation experience - Ideally at Fundraising Director level or have undertaken this role prior to moving to a broader role. Ideally you will have an understanding of a broad range of income generation with experience of leading supporter engagement strategies and successfully increasing reach
The charity are looking to improve the diversity on their Board, including ethnicity, socio-economic and applicants who have connections to underserved communities. They would also welcome applicants from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, or the north of England. Most Trustees on the Board already have first-hand lived experience of Crohn’s and Colitis so new applicants for the role will not be required to have this experience.

ABOUT SPRINGBOARD
Springboard Youth Academy supports refugee and asylum-seeking young people who have recently arrived in the UK to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond. By combining participatory learning, life skills and holistic support into action-packed weekend, half-term and summer programming, we work to bridge the gap in support for young people left behind by the mainstream school system.
As educators and youth workers with years of experience working to offset the challenges these young people face, we launched a programme that helps young people develop their English language and self-advocacy skills whilst addressing their social and wellbeing needs, preparing them for mainstream education and helping them rebuild their lives in the UK.
We do this by providing interactive and engaging programming that combines English learning, life skills and practical and emotional strategies for young people on their journey to independence and adulthood.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As Springboard’s Youth Academy’s activities and ambitions continue to grow, we are seeking a Secretary to join our existing Board of Trustees.
We’re looking for people who share our love of high quality and participatory education, as well as our commitment to supporting and platforming displaced young people. We're keen to meet people who can bring skills, knowledge and both professional and lived experience that will help us continue to refine our delivery and grow.

TIME COMMITMENT
In line with all charities, Trustees are unpaid volunteers. Trustees must be able to commit to attending quarterly Board meetings and making time to read paperwork in advance of Board meetings. As a small charity, our resources are limited and Trustees are also asked to actively contribute their skills in relevant areas. As a guideline, Trustees must be prepared to offer a minimum of two hours per month to the charity.
As Secretary, you will be required to spend approximately 1-2 hours prior to each quarterly meeting supporting with preparation. We also require new Trustees to spend one day on site during one of our programmes to get a feel for the work, as well as undertake Trustee and Safeguarding training, within the first three months of starting the role. Board meetings are currently held virtually, and, where possible, are arranged at least two months ahead. On occasion, Trustees will be required to respond by email or phone in relation to issues that arise outside of Board meetings. Travel costs will be covered if they are a barrier.

Barking Mad Dog Rescue are seeking to recruit two trustees to help us take our charity forward. We have big ambitions.
Who we are
We are a UK registered charity (1160985) that operates two shelters in Constanta district, Romania, with around 350 dogs and puppies. They are cared for by our small, effective Romanian team of paid workers, who run operations there. In the UK, our charity operates through a team of dedicated volunteers. They manage adoptions, fundraising, marketing, social media and charity promotion.
What we do
Dog welfare is low on the political and public agenda in Romania and life is hard for many street dogs, particularly since the introduction of the 2013 killing law. This, alongside poor uptake of spaying/neutering, means an endless stream of stray and abandoned dogs; pregnant mums, puppies, the old, the sick and the surplus to requirements. This is where Barking Mad Dog Rescue steps in. We work in our local community to educate, spay/neuter, rescue and where possible rehome.
We have made huge strides in dog welfare in our local Romanian community over the past ten years of operation. People are: bringing their pets for neutering and encouraging neighbours to do so; reporting sick, injured and abandoned dogs in need to us; caring for street dogs who live nearby; and, in some cases, adopting dogs in need. Since our establishment in 2015, we have rehomed approximately 3,000 dogs in the UK, Germany and other EU countries.
The future – growing our ambitions
This year we have an exciting opportunity to start to build a new more spacious shelter on land we own, which was kindly purchased for us by a generous donor. With this, come opportunities to work more closely with our local community, to have enhanced facilities for our dogs and shelter team, and to expand our ambitions for what we want to achieve as a charity.
Who we are looking for
To support us to take these exciting next steps, we are looking for two additional trustees who are passionate about dog welfare, willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking and expertise on our board. We are particularly hoping to attract trustees with proven business backgrounds and strong business networks and experience, experience of fundraising and/or with construction or large-scale capital projects, who will take a keen interest in understanding about our work, and helping us to grow and thrive.

The Opportunity:

At CATTs, we work to give every young person access to vital health education, to allow them to be empowered to know their own bodies and to feel confident communicating health worries. We do this by working with young people and providing interactive workshops that will cover a multitude of topics concerning their health. Our work will always be supported by communities we serve and what they want, and need will come above everything else. This will ensure every young person feels heard through our work and by the people that need to hear them.
We are now looking for a treasurer to join the board and help lead the organisation and work with the staff team in delivering the next 5 year plan, building CATTs into a leader in cancer awareness, creating sustainable and diversified funding streams, and addressing the health inequalities that young people and communities face on a daily basis.

You won't need to necessarily have experience of being a trustee or a knowledge of cancer awareness, it is about willingness to volunteer your time and be part of a team that deserves your focus and advice in creating lasting change in the conversation on healthcare for young people.

The skills we are looking for...
Monitor the financial standing of the charity and reports to the Board and senior employees regarding cash-flow forecasting, income streams, out-going expenses and the overarching strategic management of the charity’s financial resources.
The commitment from you...
CATTs would like our trustees to commit at least 4 hours a month of availability to help with the staff team, along with 6 meetings (1 1/2 hours each) of the board per year. This is the minimum but if you can commit more on either a long-term or for a particular project that would be great.

What will you be doing?
As a Trustee with Treasury focus, you will liaise with trustees and relevant contracted staff, to oversee the financial viability of the charity, make fellow trustees aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them. As Treasurer to the Charity, you will also become a Trustee. Trustees are expected to understand and accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship and understand their role as a Trustee. As a small charity, there will be times when trustees will need to be actively involved beyond Board meetings. This may involve scrutinising board papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise. · Ongoing reporting of Angor’s financial position at Trustee meetings;

· Ensuring expenditure is in line with grant criteria and any restricted funds;

Web developers and designers wanted to support East London Waterworks Park in continuing to improve its website and digital infrastructure.
East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces.
We are looking for web developers and designers to contribute to our community-led working group who are working on coordinating content and infrastructure for the East London Waterworks Park website.
There is opportunity to lead on projects across web development and UX and web design, and facilitate the direction of the working group.
The Comms Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.

We are seeking a volunteer Trustee to join the Board of Trustees at WORTH to collectively oversee the administration and financial governance of the charity. The board is our governing body, providing strategy and direction and ensuring WORTH is run according to the rules.

About WORTH
WORTH is a charity providing long term aftercare to women affected by Domestic Abuse. We offer clients 1-1 support and a range of wellbeing groups including art, writing, music and self-defence to help rebuild their confidence and self-esteem.
We provide a safe space for clients to share experiences, give and receive practical and emotional support, learn new skills, reduce isolation, build friendships, and give women their voice back. It is a space where women can focus on their future and we can support our clients in their healing, post abuse.
To be able to provide this support we rely on a great team of volunteers with a wide skill set and a whole lot of passion to enable our services to work effectively.
Our Board of Trustees play a vital role in making sure that WORTH achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management, administration and governance of the charity. They also ensure that WORTH has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the CEO to enable WORTH to grow and thrive and support more women in need.
Trustee Duties:
- Support and provide advice on WORTH's purpose, vision, goals and activities.
- Approve operational strategies and policies, and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
- Oversee WORTH's financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.

Terms of office

- Attendance at ad hoc trustee meetings in addition to the minimum six annual meetings.

Nearly nine years after the Brexit referendum, we are navigating ongoing challenges affecting EU citizens’ communities. We are continuing to build power from the ground up, empowering people to get their voices heard. Your contribution will be crucial to making change happen.

About the3million
We are the leading organisation representing EU citizens in the UK. Our vision is a world where EU citizens can thrive, reach their potential and have an equal voice in UK society. Our work ranges from informing people of their rights and community organising of EU citizens’ communities, to holding the Government to account on the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and promoting access to justice.
We are a grassroots and non-partisan organisation, working with a variety of stakeholders, from MPs to NGOs, legal advisors and the media on specific issues affecting migrants’ rights. We regularly engage with the Home Office and its monitoring bodies to advocate for change.
We were formed through the efforts of volunteers from many different backgrounds who came together in the immediate aftermath of the Brexit referendum in 2016. We hold on to that can-do, nimble spirit and friendly and non-hierarchical collegiality.
In 2024, the3million’s contribution towards creating lasting and significant change for EU citizens living in the UK was recognised at the EmpowerEU Awards, in the "Outstanding Achievement” category.
the3million was incorporated as a limited by guarantee not-for-profit company with Companies House in November 2017. As such, the role of members of the Board of Directors is similar, though not identical, to that of Charity Trustees.
What does the role involve?
You will join a small board of professionals committed to helping EU citizens in the UK. We are specifically seeking directors with expertise, skills and knowledge in any or several of the following backgrounds: fundraising, legal compliance, HR, risk management, community organising, racial justice and safeguarding.
As a the3million non-executive director, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the organisation on track with its objectives. You will apply your professional experience towards shaping our strategy on fundraising, governance, campaigning and other areas of work.

- Ensure the3million is meeting its aims and objectives and acting in line with any relevant legislation or regulations
