We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Finance department for Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

The role is full time, based from our National Ministry Centre in Coventry.

The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the Finance team by undertaking accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, reconciliation of income/donations, and maintaining the fixed asset register. Further information can be found in the Job Description.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a finance environment and find satisfaction in completing successful reconciliations, in a busy department. Previous charity experience is desirable but not essential.

In accordance with the Equality Act of 2010 and due to the context of the role there is an ‘occupational requirement’ for the post holder to be an evangelical Christian. The job holder should be committed to the purpose of SPI and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the Christian purposes of the organisation and be able to live out, hold to, support and contribute to its Christian ethos.

The ideal candidate will possess commercial knowledge, financial management skills, and experience in supporter relationship management. Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills are necessary, as is the ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions. To succeed in this role, you will possess strong experience in major donor and/or trust fundraising. You will be experienced in developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecast and planning contingency action. While experience of Donorflex or other similar relational database is preferable, training can be provided.

This is a hybrid full-time role with 2 day per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford. Pay range for this role is £43,445 to £56,131 per year, dependent on skills and experience.

A skilled Fundraiser you will be able to develop and execute fundraising activities and cultivate relationships, all while offering support in fundraising that aligns with the strategic priorities outlined in our fundraising plan.

The Operations and Data Manager will be responsible for all donor analytics, prospect research, team coordination, and will be a critical partner to the Fundraising team. This role focuses on providing the essential data analysis and prospect research to continue building our major donor pipeline and base. It supports the fundraising team to effectively manage donor portfolios and the allocation of resources, whilst creating workflows to illuminate insights into fundraising progress, and additional systems-related projects.

Who You Are

• Process Architect: You love creating systems and managing databases. You design and optimise fundraising workflows, from donor inquiries to gift processing, to maximise efficiency and productivity.

• Data Steward: You are the guardian of donor data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records to inform strategic decision-making

• Technology Advocate: You have a good understanding of up to date software and tech to help you streamline operations, enhance donor experience, and generate valuable data insights.

• Team Collaborator: You love working across portfolios and internal functions. You will work closely with all members of the fundraising team to provide operational support and achieve fundraising goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

Donor Analytics & Moves Management (40%)

• Regularly review and update donor portfolios based on departmental criteria, donor behaviour, and portfolio criteria

• Manage incoming donor portfolio requests

• Collaboratively develop, launch, and administer a moves management process in line with Mission 44’s CRM that provides insights on movement of donors through the donor lifecycle; delivers qualitative and quantitative data on individual fundraiser activity; and other related reports

• Create reports / dashboards to inform the team and board on donor retention and attrition rates compared to industry standards.

• Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities and histories, and solicitation and reporting calendars

• Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue reports, weekly giving reports, and various financial and fundraising dashboard reports for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors

• Work with fellow team members to facilitate regular (quarterly or monthly) lapsed donor reporting to provide team with actionable leads

• Regularly (quarterly) report on progress to goals and metrics, and overall fundraising activities to produce key insights and observe trends

• Oversee and manage guidelines and practice of the import and export of activities related to donor engagement (e.g. events and missions)

• Create templates and systems that make the fundraising team more efficient in their cultivation and stewardship

Donation & Data Management (20%)

• Process all gifts and ensure timely tax acknowledgment letters are sent to donors (within 48 hours of receipt of gift)

• Reconcile gifts with the Finance Department and support with the annual audit

• Generate various mailing lists for the Development Department

• Manage pledge payment tracking and reminders and follow-up processes for multi-year donors/gifts.

• Oversee and create donation/solicitation coding and prepare backup gift documentation

• Ensure all data entry is accurate and regularly checked for errors to maintain data integrity

Team Coordination and Administration (20%)

• Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Head of Fundraising, support the administrative planning and delivery of team strategy days, away days and other key internal meetings, including meetings with Mission 44’s wider ecosystem.

• Ad hoc support for annual events

• Create templates for emails and pitches to support donor cultivation

• Provide administrative support to the Fundraising Team, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and travel arrangements.

Prospect & Donor Research (20%)

• Perform regular wealth screenings of entire donor base to maintain accurate and updated prospect data

• Develop and operate a process that proactively researches donors and prospects with ultra-high net worth to create a bench of qualified prospects

• Conduct donor and prospect research and analysis based on requests from the team and SLT, or before events and cultivation meetings

• Create data-informed prospect lists and profiles for major prospects and analysis to help fine-tune donor cultivation and relationships.

• Continually monitor industry standards and trends on prospect research practices to ensure practices remain ahead of the curve

• Manage relationships and contracts with CRM and donor/prospect research vendors and/or external contractors, regularly assessing new products and technologies

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock & Retail Supervisor in our Retail team at St Joseph’s Hospice.

We are looking for someone who has exceptional retail experience to work 4 days a week, including weekends. The successful applicant will have retail experience, brand, and fashion knowledge, will be able to drive sales through commercial awareness and will be a team player who will support volunteers to be able to maximise donation sales.

About You

You will need:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• To oversee donation bins daily from the public which are then sorted and distributed to our three existing shops.
• Knowledge of brands and fashion.
• Sourcing and processing sufficient donations of the appropriate quality to keep all shops fully stocked, through door to door and clothing bank collections.
• Maximise donated stock, understand brands and fashion.
• Work closely with the senior retail team and shop supervisor to understand their stock requirements and be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our van.

We are recruiting an Assistant Manager – Offsite Services to ensure the smooth, effective, and efficient delivery of the centre’s home-based pet operations so that the right pet is placed with right the client, in the quickest amount of time and all our pets and clients receive excellent care throughout the adoption stages of the rehoming process. 

More about the role:

Based in our high street location since 2018, we are perfectly placed to support our local community and surrounding areas. Our foster-based care and Home Direct scheme ensures animals find loving homes without the stress of kennels. This means that we do not usually have pets staying onsite overnight and our roles may not include daily pet care, but no two days are ever the same. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to join Blue Cross to lead an incredible team to ensure the delivery of high-quality rehoming services that includes exceptional care for our pets and clients and efficient, connected decisions making in relation to pet welfare.

On a day-to-day basis you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the home-based pet operations, and the overall responsibility, as a subject matter expert, for practical animal handling and assessment so that pets are prepared for adoption in the quickest amount of time. This will see you working closely with your team and colleagues to make sure that any pet assessment, behaviour, or training is delivered in a timely and efficient way and that any foster carers are fully supported. 

About you:

You will be accountable for achieving pet related targets while ensuring that your team of Pet Welfare Assistants deliver a high level of animal welfare, adhering to quality measures and national processes within their case management.

Managing and motivating your team is a key aspect of this role as this will enable the Centre to deliver high-quality home-based pet care services and provide great development opportunities for those you manage. 

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.

You will be an excellent manager of people, having skills which are finely honed by working in a similar, animal related environment with expert knowledge and application of pet welfare and care.  

As an accomplished, positive, and innovative manager, you will know how to inspire, motivate, and drive continuous improvement. You will be able to lead a team of Pet Care Specialists, developing and empowering them through effective management and coaching. 

With your excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to adapt your approach to suit different audiences. As there are always many ‘plates spinning,’ you will be naturally calm and organised, and be prepared to make decisions in a high-pressure environment. 

You will bring strong analytical skills and have the ability to rigorously monitor, assess and evaluate in order to deliver improvements. You will not ‘rest on your laurels,’ you will have an appetite to continually improve onsite facilities and services, ensuring your team and others involved are engaged. 

You will know what it is like to work in an emotionally charged environment and have excellent ‘bounce back ability’ and resilience. In addition, you will be emotionally intelligent, showing empathy and knowing how to support your team and members of the public.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow corporate fundraising income, to support our mission to improve mental health in Hampshire. You will join us at an exciting time, having just launched our new three-year strategy, and this role is pivotal in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions in the years ahead.

The role is to lead the corporate fundraising activities for Solent Mind, which have grown significantly over the last five years. You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle. 

You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.

The Role

Reporting to the Engagement Lead for the SouthWest and Channel Islands, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire to deliver against engagement activity.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Leading the involvement of people affected by stroke to prioritise our work and improve the experience of people affected by stroke

· Work with colleagues across the locality to deliver a localised approach to addressing health inequalities, working with Equality Diversity Inclusion (EDI) leads from across the organisation.

The Night Shelter Manager is responsible for the following:

• The day-to-day operation and management of nights shelters in West and Southwest London. Maintaining a friendly, supportive environment and cultivating positive relationships with guests, colleagues and volunteers.
• Welcoming and inducting new guests into the shelter by explaining the shelter policies.
• Supporting volunteer teams at each venue to ensure the smooth running of the project and developing good communication with the Volunteer Co-ordinators.
• Diffusing difficult or dangerous situations and summon assistance when necessary. Training will be provided.
• Ensuring cleaning protocols are implemented by all staff, guests and volunteers.
• Maintaining guest attendance records and shift reports on our iPad-based In-From client relationship platform.
• Following best practice procedures for the security and safety of the guests and volunteers.
• Monitoring guest welfare throughout the shift and responding to any situations or emergencies that arise. Adhering to Glass Door’s operational and health & safety policies in all aspects of your work.
• Maintaining clear lines of communication with your colleagues including Overnight Project Workers, Caseworkers and Operations Manager.
• Conducting a nightly briefing for volunteers and staff before the shelter opens to guests.
• Undertaking any other duties to aid the good running of the project, as required by the Operations Manager. Attending regular meetings with caseworkers to share any relevant information including guest welfare, interactions and other important information.
• Attending 1 to 1 sessions with the Operations Manager on a fortnightly basis.
• Attending the monthly winter services meetings held on Wednesday afternoons
• Accurately reporting observations, interactions, concerns and actions with guests to their caseworker using written reports.
• Ensuring the shelter van is kept well organised and stocks are well maintained.
• Supporting casework team with practical tasks related to guests’ day-to-day activities as requested.
• Flexibility is required, as you will be working a shift rota that includes weekends and public holidays
• You will also be expected to attend other training sessions, team meetings and other activities as required.
