The Harrow Club is a community-based youth organisation offering innovative, accessible and high-quality opportunities, enabling young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to maximise their life chances. This year we are 140 years’ old, and we are committed to building on decades of service in the local community to address some of the most pressing issues affecting young people today. 

Harrow Club is a place for firsts.  A first trip to the beach, a night-time walk in the woods, an overnight stay without parents and, for some, the first place where a child really feels at home and that they have a home.  Firsts are especially important, they are part of a child’s development but also, they build an outlook on life and shape pathways that will go on to determine futures as well as offer a chance to form new interests and friendships.

We operate from five locations, providing an incredible range of projects covering sports, arts and performing arts, media, music, digital and our specialist gang’s project, motor vehicle workshops and educational programmes aimed at reducing school exclusions. Key Responsibilities

1. Program Management:

- Represent the youth club at community meetings, conferences and events to advocate for youth-related issues and promote the club's mission.

5. Administration and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, programme participation, and individual progress.

- Prepare regular reports, statistics, and evaluations to measure the impact and effectiveness of youth programmes and activities.

- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations governing youth clubs and child protection.

Person Specification - Qualifications and Skills

-JNC Professionally qualified Youth Worker with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, youth development, education) or equivalent practical experience.

-Proven experience working with young people in a youth club, community centre or similar setting.

-Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.

-Excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.

-Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.

-Ability to adapt to diverse needs and engage with young individuals from various backgrounds.

What is the role?

This a 12 Month Maternity contract.

Working within our values and behavioural framework, the role involves closely managing the relationships of our partner organisations (known as Licensed Organisations – LOs) and ensuring those within your portfolio offer quality and inclusive DofE programmes to young people.

While managing these relationships across your portfolio area in Newcastle, Northumberland and South Tyneside, you will also identify and develop new relationships with appropriate educational and community organisations to widen the access of the DofE to young people, particularly those who experience marginalisation.

This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

The role

Felstead Street is a CQC registered care home, which has a heavy focus on supporting customers with enduring mental health care and elderly needs. We provide 24hr high support to 24 customers both female and male. Our building is a purpose-built home on two floors, offering customers individual bedrooms and the use of shared communal facilities and gardens. The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust with the care contribution from London Borough of Hackney.

You will support our customers with a range of activities and health support throughout the day and to live in a safe living environment. What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere in the home.
Following lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness to health and safety for self, colleagues and customers.
Supporting customers to maintain a healthy and clean living environment, where appropriate, provide assistance to maintain their living areas are clean and safe from hazards.
Providing support and assistance to customers during the day who may be experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.
Providing support with daily living activities including practical assistance to customers who may require this.
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Support customers actively in the community and engage with the local area.
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
Pro actively manage health and safety on a daily basis for self, colleagues and customers.
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards and poses excellent IT skills.

Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Programme Coordinator to take the lead in ensuring the seamless execution of all student-focused events. Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS  

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, ensuring student communication is exceptional. Including event management (covering agenda creation and resource/activity development), student and partner communication/coordination, along with posting opportunities and roles in the weekly newsletter.

STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues, and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London 
• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events 
• Responsible for managing the programme inboxes (where applicable) 
• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students 
• Provide oversight of higher education applications, CV support, screening, and recruitment preparation 
• Responsible for attending campus/school careers events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm 
• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations  

  
QUALITY ASSURANCE  

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes.

Required qualifications 

• University degree (any discipline)

About the role:

As a DA caseworker, you will:

Effectively manage a caseload of service users affected by domestic abuse, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.

Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions

Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, and the post holder will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The post holder will be based within housing teams for three days a week, to help facilitate.

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager

This recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support. They will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.

They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
