About the role
In partnership with Gateshead Council, Sustrans is opening an Active Travel Hub at Birtley Library. This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans and support people in Gateshead to walk, cycle, and wheel, by providing practical, impactful support.
As the Project Delivery Officer, you will coordinate and deliver a programme of work tailored around overcoming identified barriers to active and sustainable travel modes, including a series of practical engagement activities, with the support of 2 Project Support Officers and a network of volunteers.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with diverse groups and people within our partner organisations. Additionally, you will ensure monitoring and reporting tasks are carried out, with particular respect to partner and funder requirements.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to a nominated hub/office base in Birtley, Gateshead.
About you
You should have experience delivering behaviour change projects and/or activities, and delivering projects in a community setting with a range of partners. Experience working in public-facing roles and with volunteers is key – this role will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and developing Sustrans volunteers, in collaboration with the Project Coordinator and Sustrans volunteer programme staff. You should have some experience of managing budgets, producing reports, and carrying out monitoring activities. Knowledge of effective engagement and behaviour change initiatives is key, and you should be able to apply this knowledge to develop and deliver effective cycling, walking, and wheeling initiatives.
You should be able to build strong working relationships, enthuse others, and have the ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. You should also be able to work independently when necessary, planning and prioritising your own workload with limited supervision.
There are lots of opportunities for learning and development within this role, so we ask that you are willing to learn, with a specific commitment to work towards becoming qualified in the following areas with Sustrans:

With the creation of a new Facilities Admin Management team within our Property Development team in our Retail directorate we are recruiting for an administrator to support the facilities management team to deliver a broad variety of activities for our retail shop and stores estate of c700 locations.
It is important that we keep our retail estate trading effectively as interruption caused by maintenance issues prevents us from raising valuable income that goes directly into research to prevent heart and circulatory diseases. Therefore, we must proactively and diligently review performance and continually improve our services.
As a Facilities Administration Assistant you'll deliver a high level of admin support to the Facilities Administration Team Leader, Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Manager to enable them to carry out their roles effectively across the BHF Retail estate.

- raising reactive and planned works orders on the property management system
- record keeping via spreadsheets/database

The Legacy Manager will be responsible for the entire legacy function from marketing legacies to the existing database, stewarding pledgers and supporters through to the administration of the legacies themselves, working with the legacy administrator. You'll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to deliver the legacy and in-memoriam giving programme.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is looking for an experienced adviser to join our frontline Advice, Support & Enquiries Team managing all enquiries via the advice line and electronic/mail channels. Each month we receive hundreds of phone calls and emails from people who need our help. The team’s Advisers are often the first point of contact with the MCF and play a key role in our grants process.
You will need excellent customer service skills, a high level of personal resilience, ability to quickly build a good rapport with callers and be a team player who is willing to support colleagues and prioritise the needs of the team. Previous experience in a comparable role is desirable.
Day to day responsibilities include answering calls and responding to emails from individuals and families for a range of support (including daily living costs, health and care and education), liaising with our Advice and Support Advisers and Visiting Volunteers, awarding grants for counselling and consultations and keeping the grants system up to date.
The team is based in our central London office on the edge of Covent Garden, with hybrid working available
