What will you be doing?
The mission of the project is to ensure "No one is left behind'', including the youngest in the society, to fulfil the UN's 2030 Agenda.
CBS is looking for experienced professionals with a wealth of knowledge and wide network within UK schools, academies and colleges. These advisors could be current and recent head teachers, educational trust leaders (CEO/senior management), governors and trustees, local authority leaders (education), and school/college business leaders and relevant senior-level professionals. This UK initiative is part of concurrent initiatives in over fifty other counties across the world.
Specific requirements include;
- Advice on efficient routes to roll out the educational program across UK institutions (state-funded and independent)
- Provide bird's eye view of challenges and opportunities to ensure maximum participation and inclusion of children and young people in the program
- Offer guidance on practical aspects of implementing the program; schedule, convenience, funding etc.

GFS Bearwood - Activity Leader:
Our mission is to support and inspire girls and young women. As an Activity Leader, you will create spaces where girls feel safe and valued, so that they can build strong foundations that will prepare them for life’s challenges.
GFS Activity Leaders are people who want help deliver fun and inspiring sessions to girls and young women, with the opportunity to lead on certain tasks. Our GFS Eldon Group runs in St Mark’s Church, Main Road, Eldon, Bishop Auckland every Wednesday during term time from 6.00pm. As one of our longstanding groups, this group includes elements of faith, however volunteers from all walks of life are both welcome and encourages.
What you will be doing:
· Engaging with and listening to girls and young women weekly, to make them feel supported, valued and inspired to try new things.
· Treating every girl with respect and kindness, helping her to feel proud of who she is.
· Helping run activities for the girls, organising any materials needed for the sessions and helping with set up, tidy up and refreshments
· Supporting and contributing to termly planning team meetings to create a programme of activities alongside the Group Leader/Coordinator. We’ll also provide support through themed session plans and step-by-step activity guides on the GFS website.
· Leading on activities as agreed with the volunteer team
· Sharing ideas and feedback given by the girls to the Group Leader/Coordinator to help create a truly girl-led termly programme.

Feature documentary film in aid of cancer research.
We are looking for a volunteer trainee or student make-up artist to join our small (but very experienced) team currently in pre-production on a film project about unsung young international Cancer Research Scientists who are based in London.
The ideal person would hopefully have an interest in film production make-up and have a great sense of fun with the ability to work with our lovely team.
This is a never-attempted-before film project and we anticipate huge global distribution with sales revenues going straight to Cancer Research UK.
We can pay moderate expenses with aims to provide a bonus at a later stage but we are funding this project ourselves along with some donated funds in order to remain independent from the major networks who normally offer production funding (called MG’s) but who can then control distribution among the favoured few networks. We are insisting that the film should be released all over the world and in 35 languages, with more translations being added as we go.
Stars of Cancer was formed in 2022 by producer director: Michael Redwood and Dr. Zlatina Filipova - who is herself a film producer - for the sole purpose of creating a production company which is a requirement in enabling a production of this nature.
Our mission is to produce a stunning and emotional cinematic feature film, side by side with a sister version documentary. In other words: the film can be viewed at cinemas, as well as on TV platforms which requires at least two formats.
The money raised from the film’s sales revenues will be directly handed over to UK Cancer Research Groups, and we will reveal exactly HOW and WHERE that money is spent, answering so many questions from people who simply don’t know, and who are sadly losing faith in ‘Giving’ to cancer research, because of this lack of information.
Donations to cancer research have dropped by 12% over the past year because of this lack of information. In the film we will highlight many unanswered questions put by the public about cancer donations, questions that Stars of Cancer WILL answer. We thought we’d been fortunate in our previous film careers to have worked with some rather famous actors, known as ’Stars’until we discovered, by fluke, these REAL ‘stars’ who quietly travel to their research labs each morning completely unnoticed by most of the public.
Not only can this film raise much needed funds for research, but it can also give us - the public - a chance to recognise, and to offer, our grateful thanks, to these rather shy and unassuming super heroes.

We are looking for volunteers to help us to deliver our programme of wellbeing activities and discussion groups as part of our Hub service, by interacting with clients and helping ensure that they feel welcomed and involved. These groups help enable our clients to identify their goals, to be supported in their recovery, to enhance wellbeing and provide clients with the tools and strategies to help them to manage their mental health.
Activities and responsibilities include:
- Help the group facilitator prepare and deliver activities
- Ensure that all clients are welcome to the group and positively encourage their continued participation
- Support clients in learning a new skill along with maintaining and growing the skills of clients who are already familiar with an activity.
- Assist with the smooth running of the group: chatting with clients and putting them at ease; listening to ideas and concerns and help ensure that the ground rules of the group are followed
- Help clients find the materials they need, as well as familiarising them with the facilities available at the location (toilets, fire exits and refreshments)
- Record attendance of each session and notify the Hub Manager of any client absence
- Flag up any client concerns to the Hub Manager at a post-group debrief

Do you have some van driving experience?

Many people struggle to enjoy cycling, and some families often find the cost of adapted bikes mean that they cannot share fun times together.
Parkride is a fun and flexible inclusive cycling project using a range of adapted and standard bikes that provides anyone, regardless of age, ability or need, with the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors through cycling.
We require a volunteer van driver to help us deliver our custom-made bikes and trikes to locations such as parks and community centers around the West Midlands.
What would I be doing?
· You will be a vital link between us and the families we support, helping us to get the team and bikes to where they’re needed for arranged sessions.
· You’ll be the friendly face of Parkride, interacting with the families and ensuring the bikes are kept safe and secure whilst the team are out riding.
· Working with staff to load/unload the van before and after sessions.
What do I need?
· Minimum age 25
· Experience of driving a large van with a suitable driving licence
· A full and clean driving licence (held for a minimum of 5 years)
· Some lifting will be required and so a basic level of fitness is needed.
· Being approachable and friendly with good communication skills
· Accepting of others who might be different to you and the ability to work as part of a diverse team
· A willingness to learn and work within guidelines set out by Midland Mencap

When and where do you need me?
· The van is based at our head office in Woodgate Valley – B32 3BZ.
· We have several parkride sessions running throughout the week including evenings and weekends. Sessions vary from 2-4 hours (plus travel).
· We run sessions throughout the Midlands, including Birmingham (all areas), Dudley, Sandwell, Coventry, and Sutton Coldfield. You can choose which sessions you wish to attend.
· All sessions are weather dependent; however, we only cancel sessions in extreme weather. We would advise having a warm waterproof coat and suitable shoes.

Purpose of the role.
Bike Buddies provide support and motivation to help people to participate in outdoor cycling. Volunteers support cyclists to achieve their fitness goals and enjoy cycling in our community.
Our Bike Buddies are great ambassadors for cycling, sharing their expertise of local routes and giving others the confidence to get around by bike.
We have people from many different backgrounds wanting support with their cycling for many reasons.
For example:
· Coming back to cycling after time off
· Disability or ill health
· Finding quiet roads and cycle paths around the neighbourhood
· Building up confidence on busy roads
· Sharing experiences of things like cycling at night or what clothes to wear
· Checking bikes together before a ride
If you feel confident cycling on the road or in a park with someone else, and are wanting to give back to others, this is the role for you.
What would I be doing?
You’ll need to find out what they want to do and where they want to go. Some people want to explore quiet streets locally or plan a longer journey. You may ride to the park or show them local routes – quiet ways, new cycle lanes and off-road paths are popular.
They may want to try out junctions or crossing busy roads – think about how to ride those safely. You may support a person at one of our pre-arranged Parkride cycle meetings and help them to develop the skills and confidence to cycle safely and independently.
What do I need?
This role will require:
· A roadworthy bike and riding equipment.
· Experience of regular cycling
· Some experience of cycle maintenance is ideal
· A cycling competence session with parkride staff
· Friendly, calm, and patient
· A good listener & happy to chat
· Accepting of people who may be different to you
· Willing to learn and act within guidelines set out by Midland Mencap
· Good time management skills, reliability
· An enhanced DBS check will be required by all successful applicants.
When and where do you need me?
Either at organised events or 1-2-1 within your local area.
Ideally you can meet once or twice a month for approx. 2 hours.
We have parkride sessions running throughout the week including evenings and weekends.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our friendly arts and crafts groups in Weoley Castle. You will be encouraging our citizens to take part and ensure everyone has a great time. You can also use your skills to deliver a creative session if you wish.
This is a great opportunity to volunteer in a friendly, person-centred team, providing fun activities for people with learning disabilities.
What would I be doing?
· Helping people to take part in various arts and crafts activities such as card making, model making, painting, and other creative groups
· Encouraging people to feel part of the group and take part in the activities.
· Helping to set up equipment and tidy away at the end of the session.
· Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
What do I need?
· An interest in helping people, being approachable and friendly
· Any creative skills or interests would be amazing, but not essential.

Our Charity Champions are passionate individuals who are committed to supporting PKS. You will work alongside the PKS Team to support the charity, raising money in your area, identify new fundraising opportunities and raise awareness of PKS and their Services.
Charity Champions represent PKS in their local area. There are various ways to do this, and the role is flexible, so you are free to pick and choose which activities appeal to you.
Here are some examples of activities Charity Champions do:
· Attending cheque presentation events as a representative of PKS
· Attending community events as a representative of PKS
· Attending organised walking, running, and cycling events to cheer on people taking part for PKS.
· Organising your own fundraising activities e.g. bucket collections, cake sales or raffles
· Supporting PKS fundraising and/or awareness events e.g. bucket collections, festivals ro regional shows etc
· Providing information in your local area about the support PKS provides e.g. putting information leaflets in local GP surgeries, supermarkets or posters on community notice boards
· Holding awareness stands at community events.
· Taking part in or encouraging others to get involved in fundraising events throughout the year
· Supporting social media campaigns by sharing content with your network
· Delivering talks about the work of the charity and the importance of fundraising
· Promoting PKS within your own network and encouraging more people to fundraise for us

Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.
We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Yeovil and Sherborne Group. As our Fundraising Volunteer you’ll support your Group Coordinator to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.
In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.
Time Commitment
We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. You’ll be able to apply disability, equality and inclusion practices and understand and apply our risk management system. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.
You will be reliable and easy to contact and you need to live in or near the area the group to carry out this role.

Job Title: Volunteer Group Assistant
Location: Bracknell and Wokingham
Commitment: Once a month, in-person
Organisation: Support U is a leading LGBTQ+ resource and support service based in the Thames Valley Area.
Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist in the organisation and facilitation of our monthly groups in Bracknell and Wokingham, as well as Pride stalls. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about community engagement and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Group Coordination: Assist in setting up and managing the logistics of the running sessions, including registration, warm-ups, and cool-downs.
- Pride Stalls Coordination: Assist in setting up and managing the logistics of our pride stall, including set-up, participant engagement and break-down.
- Participant Engagement: Welcome new participants, provide guidance, and ensure everyone feels included and supported during the run.
- Safety Monitoring: Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring the event, keeping an eye on the attendees, and being prepared to respond to any incidents or emergencies and report them.
- Motivation and Encouragement: Foster a positive and motivating environment by being welcoming and friendly.
- Administrative Support: Assist with basic administrative tasks such as maintaining attendance records, distributing materials, and collecting feedback from participants.
Qualifications:
- Passion for LGBTQ+ community support: Enthusiastic about making the world a safes space for LGBTQ+ community
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to engage with a diverse group of participants.
- Dependability: Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to attending the monthly sessions.
- Basic First Aid Knowledge: Preferred but not required. Training will be provided if necessary.
- Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with other volunteers and group leaders.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Bracknell and Wokingham areas is beneficial but not essential.
