Overview
In partnership with a second, and possibly third Leader, you will lead a Fire (Group) of 8-12 Young Explorers. Social Leader role is to ensure that all young people can develop and thrive on our expeditions. They provide additional support with pastoral care and behavioural management for young people, particularly those facing challenges. Social Leaders will have demonstrable experience of working with young people in residential environments.

Overview

Overview - This is a Senior Leadership team role.
The Deputy Chief Leader (DCL) role varies on each expedition. The DCL will work closely with
the expedition’s Chief Leader to take a prominent role in planning and training before & during
expedition, and in post expedition reporting.

Volunteer role: Deputy Chair of the Stationing Committee
The Stationing Committee has oversight of the processes relating to the stationing of ministers within the Methodist Church. The Committee is seeking to nominate to the Methodist Conference, a Deputy Chair. This is open to all lay members of the Methodist Church. If you are skilled at chairing meetings, able to represent the Stationing Committee on a number of bodies, committed to helping the Church station its ministers through wise, fair and transparent processes – then please do offer for this role.
This appointment is subject to a change in Standing Orders regarding the membership of the Stationing Committee, which will be presented to the Methodist Conference in June 2025. The role would begin after the Conference but it is hoped the person would attend meetings of the Stationing Committee in the meantime as an observer.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday to Friday.
Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.
