We are looking for volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and experience who could come onboard as a start-up Trustee, to help us set up and register Urban Youth as a youth charity and getting us set up and ready to run services for young people. This includes fundraising, grant writing, raising our profile, creating campaigns and much much more, ensuring we are able to help stop the youth-on-youth violence across London and beyond.
The role of Trustee is vital, especially for a new start-up charity and you will be providing much needed support and advice, supporting the Founder and CEO to make Urban Youth a huge success. This includes, setting strategy including overall, fundraising and others, networking and helping to raise our profile, writing grant applications and carrying out fundraising activities to raise much needed income and being the governance body for the new charity, working closely with the volunteer team, charity commission and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Lead and manage multiple ongoing projects, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and within budget.

- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including post-event analysis for bootcamps.
- Resource Management & Budgeting:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation for both events and ongoing projects.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary materials, tools, and services.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide guidance and direction to team members, fostering collaboration and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals, resolve issues, and track progress.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices among teams and project members.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices:
- Continuously evaluate project management processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Implement project management best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Some experience as a Project Manager or coordinator, preferably in event management, youth work, non-profit or related sectors.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing end-to-end event planning and execution.
- Budget management and resource allocation experience.
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in managing bootcamp-style events or training programs.
- Familiarity with virtual event platforms and hybrid event management.
- Minimum education- Bachelor’s level degree.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is a plus.
Contract Details:
- This is a one-year contract with an expectation to deliver three successful bootcamp events during the contract term.
- The role is freelance, with flexible hours, but requires availability during key project timelines and events.
- Competitive compensation, based on experience and project complexity.

CF have recently started to work with a number of new schools, and we need extra support to coordinate the delivery of tuition. We have created a new voluntary role to support the operations team, you will be providing a direct impact on the children we work with every day.
As a Volunteer Programme Coordinator you will support the daily delivery of sessions, providing trouble shooting to schools and tutors, ensuring tutoring sessions are delivered on time and session notes are uploaded to the shared drive. As the Coordinator you will prepare a debriefing for each school at the end of the day, escalating any barriers to performance and or safeguarding concerns.

Introduction to the Sports and Wellness Programme at Barawak

Our strategic vision is to launch groundbreaking sports and wellness initiatives that do more than just engage the body; they invigorate the mind and nourish the spirit.

By integrating innovative sports programs and mental well-being activities, we're not only enhancing personal health but also fostering communal vitality. Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute the Sports and Wellness strategy and service line: Improve physical health and mental well-being through sports and related activities by launching novel sports and wellness initiatives that prioritize agility and holistic health.
• Forward-thinking initiatives: design and launch innovative sports and wellness initiatives that promote physical agility and holistic health within the community. These should include sessions for mental and physical well-being like football, exercise, and self-defence classes.
• Make discretionary referrals to subsidised counselling.
• Offer subsidised programmes for mental and physical wellbeing: champion mental health awareness by offering subsidised programs for mental and physical well-being, including access to wellbeing workshops.
2. Measure performance: Keep accurate count of thefrequency and attendance of sports, counselling and wellness sessions; and the self-reported improvement in participants' mental and physical health after sessions. Provide this data to the Governance Team and Trustees on request.
3. Collaboration with Verticals Teams:
• Partnership Development & Collaboration Team: Coordinate with this team to identify and establishalliances and partnerships with local, regional and global organisations, businesses, councils, and thegovernment to acquire Sports and Wellness resources, speakers or information.
• Fundraising & Financial Management Team: Collaborate with this team to conduct fundraising activities and financial planning for the Sports and Wellness service line. Identify diverse revenue streams, such as grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, fundraising events for the Sports and Wellness service.
• Volunteer Engagement Team: Work with this team to recruit, train and manage volunteers to support the Sports and Wellness service delivery.
• Marketing Outreach & Advocacy: work with this team to enhance visibility of the Sports and Wellnessservice across social media, press, and community events.
4. Governance Team Interaction: Provide regular updates and reports to the Governance, Secretariat & Performance Reporting team. Ensure programmealignment with Barawak policies, procedures, strategy and objectives. Collaborate on monitoring and evaluation efforts to assess Sports and Wellness service impact and effectiveness.

• Skills: Strong organisational and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and adept at working in a collaborative environment. Eagar to learn new skills.
• Attributes: Deep understanding of the challenges faced by the Afro-Hebrew community in the UK. Commitment to Barawak's values of helping out, sticking together, and staying strong. Ability to work flexibly and respond to evolving community needs.
