At Bank.Green, our mission is to lower this vast carbon footprint via technology and consumer action. Role Overview
As our Director of People Team your role will be vital in sculpting the workforce that will carry our mission forward. You will help us grow by hiring passionate volunteers who are eager to contribute to our cause. Your work will ensure that our remote team members are well-integrated into our organisational culture and are kept abreast with all necessary processes and tools to make a tangible impact in our advocacy efforts.
Commitment
This role is currently volunteer-based and we are seeking a commitment of 8-10 hours per week. We are looking for somebody to come on long-term, but are open to shorter-term applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hiring of volunteers, from job posting to working with Directors on candidate selection, to conducting interviews.
- Continue refining our existing processes to align with our remote work environment.
- Working with People Coordinator to ensuring a smooth transition for volunteers beginning and ending their tenure.

We are looking for trained Clinical Supervisors who have been practising for over 3 years to lead supervision sessions with our volunteer Mentors. We hold these bi-weekly in groups of 3-4 over lunchtime or evenings online.
What will you be doing?
All Been There Mentors who work with our Mentees have monthly group supervision. Usually there are four volunteers in a group. Supervision can take place in person or on zoom.
Commit to supervising a minimum of two groups per month (approx 5 hours in total).

- To safeguard the wellbeing of the Mentors and ensure that their needs are being addressed.
- To ensure the quality of Mentor support work with Mentees

Our volunteers have spent thousands of hours with their buddies — learning new skills, having fun, and forming fantastic friendships. Sense matches each volunteer with someone who has similar interests, to make sure you have a great time. You and your buddy choose a time that suits you, and you can decide what activities you’d like to do together.
The Role of a Virtual Buddy
Sense matches each volunteer with someone who has similar interests to ensure you’ll have lots of fun together. Once matched with a buddy, you will get to know each other remotely via video calls and phone calls.
You’ll arrange weekly sessions and plan fun things to do together – what this looks like will be inspired by your mutual interests. You could be gaming, doing arts and crafts, playing music, seed planting – there are so many possibilities! We will provide you with weekly themed activities to help to support you in planning your interactions with your buddy.
We’ll also keep in touch with you to ensure you have all the support you need.
The programme is open to all volunteers who are 16 and over. You don't need to have previous experience volunteering or caring for disabled people. We welcome people from all backgrounds and with all interests.

Before you start your volunteering role, we’ll make sure that you’ve had the training you need to feel confident. This will be delivered online and via video call.

Since the Paris Agreement, global banks have poured a staggering $5.5t into the fossil fuel industry. At Bank.Green, our mission is to lower this vast carbon footprint via technology and consumer action. We empower bank customers with the tools and insights they need to influence their banks towards sustainable lending, or switch to greener alternatives. To date, our bank-checking tool has been used over 400,000 times by bank customers worldwide, while we have shifted a at least $30m towards bank who are financing a greener future. Through transparency, engagement, and innovation, we aim to redefine the role of banks in the fight against climate change.
Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in spreading awareness about banks' environmental impacts, green personal finance, and encouraging bank customers to demand more sustainable policies from their financial institutions. Your efforts will not only drive our message home but will also facilitate a broader understanding and tangible change within the banking sector.
Commitment
This role is currently volunteer-based and we are seeking a commitment of 3-5 hours per week. We are looking for somebody to come on long-term, but are open to shorter-term applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft 1-2 compelling articles monthly for our blog to engage and educate our audience.
- Utilise SEO best practices to increase the reach and impact of our content.
- Occasionally contribute to various content projects such as website content, campaign-related materials, or other advocacy-related content.
Desired Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in content creation or a similar role.
- A basic understanding of finance or banking is preferred but not required.
- Autonomous work ethic, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- A passionate advocate for environmental issues, especially within the financial sector (though again, not required).
