Metro has been improving the quality of life for blind and partially sighted people for 50 years through sport and social activities. We recently won The Kings Award for Voluntary Services, the equivalent of an MBE for charities and the highest recognition a charity can receive. We are looking for a self motivated Fundraiser with good communication skills to join our charity, working closely with the CEO to develop and update the fundraising strategy in order to sustain good income generation. Some travel may be required to attend meetings or sporting activities.

35 hours per week or part time job share (including some weekends and evenings)
£25,440 per annum (salary will be pro rata for part time hours)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Community & Events Fundraiser to join our team.
Reporting to the Community Fundraising and Events Manager, you will work as part of a team to generate vital income through professional community stewardship and organising fundraising events and activity in a role where no two days are the same!

You will support the local community, our supporters and volunteers, nurturing relationships and working with key partners and stakeholders to maximise income generation opportunities, attending Hospice run and community organised events.

You will be joining a friendly team who will support you and help you to develop your skills. To be successful, you will be a flexible team player, with some previous fundraising experience, ideally within a community setting. You will be available to work evenings and weekends, be a good organiser, have excellent customer service skills and an outgoing, friendly personality with a passion for fun and success.

You will need to be physically fit and able to safely move and handle event equipment, some of which is heavy. You will also need a driving licence (category B+E), access to a vehicle and be over 25 (an insurance requirement to drive the Hospice van).

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Trusts Fundraiser to contribute significantly to the development of income generation at Raystede. You will expand our existing programme of Trusts support by creating persuasive applications and undertaking effective research, with the aim of securing funding for a variety of core costs and capital projects.

This is an exciting role as you will help our Funders to engage deeply with our work, and the lives of the animals in our care, as you present tailored cases for support and gratifying evaluations.

An excellent storyteller with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to interpret financial data and funding criteria, as well as strategically plan for existing and future funding needs. You may have experience of Trusts in another fundraising role, or perhaps you’re also an animal-loving fundraiser, or someone who researches, complies and writes reports professionally.

You will also be responsible for setting up a stewardship plan for Trust Supporters and building and maintaining relationships over the phone, through written communications, and on-site or at events. You will be supported in delivering excellent stewardship.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will have autonomy to plan your time and manage and grow the Trusts & Foundations pipeline. You will be encouraged to take an innovative approach to stewardship and be supported to continue your professional development.

About Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare

Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. Raystede is Sussex’s biggest animal welfare charity, with nearly 70 years’ experience of caring for and rehoming animals. To coordinate and grow York Mind’s community and events fundraising income through effective networking, event, and volunteer coordination.

This role sits within our Corporate Wellbeing Service team, where you will mainly work alongside our Head of Corporate Wellbeing Services and Corporate Fundraiser, to generate income for the charity through community engagement and events. You will be responsible for meeting the annual community and events income target. The role will require someone with strong organisational skills, and prior experience as a Fundraiser in another organisation. You will divide your time between developing, planning, and running events, supporting people to raise money on behalf of York Mind, and creating new relationships in the community, such as with schools and sports clubs. We have an annual calendar of both internal and external events, including our annual Mental Elf run, as well as challenges such as the York 10k and Yorkshire Marathon. Your role will be to fill events, and effectively steward and support people to raise as much money as possible through their participation. As part of your role in event coordination, you will be responsible for our fundraising volunteer base, including recruitment and effective utilisation of volunteers at our various events. Flexibility will be key, as some events happen on evenings and weekends. Another important part of this role will be engaging and developing relationships with community supporters. You should have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy getting out and about in the community (eg. sports clubs/community organisations) to grow our supporter base and look after those who we currently work with. Finally, the Corporate Wellbeing Services Team work collaboratively and therefore you should be able to work effectively as part of a team and be willing to support others in their roles to ensure the effective running of the whole department. Job Purpose

Support the Fundraising Manager in the successful delivery of fundraising activities in line with Bipolar Scotland’s ambitious strategy and business plan.

Summary

This is a part time role (28hrs p/week) which offers hybrid working. 

The Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in the success of our small but vibrant national charity by maximising income from Corporate and Community based stakeholders. Summary of the Role

As a Trust and Grant Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in securing funds from various trusts, foundations, and grant-making organisations to support the mission and projects of Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s youth homeless charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching potential funding sources, developing compelling grant proposals, and cultivating relationships with donors.

You will spend time researching grants to apply for and build relationships with award funding bodies. In addition, you will need to develop relationships with the different projects at Roundabout to know what they need funding and to interpret the results to feedback to funders.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive research, crafting persuasive grant proposals, and fostering meaningful relationships with donors to drive the organisation's fundraising success.

You will be joining a fast paced and fun team of five fundraisers who work across all fundraising disciplines.

Key accountabilities

• Conduct thorough and targeted research to identify potential trust, foundation, and grant opportunities aligned with Roundabout's mission and specific projects.

Could you be the next Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser of the largest hospice in Yorkshire?

The Role 

As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser you’ll be working alongside passionate and talented fundraising colleagues to achieve the charity’s ambitious plans for income growth. Your duties will include:

• Supporting the delivery of the existing Individual Giving Strategy and increasing acquisition, engagement and income.
• Developing income and expenditure budgets.
• Planning, developing and delivering the charity’s appeals and raffles offering.
• Obtaining compelling Hospice stories from patients and their families, volunteers and staff.
• Managing the stewardship of legacy pledgers and supporting with gifts in wills promotion. 

The Person 

We are looking for a talented, passionate and innovative individual to propel their income stream forward and achieve great results! To be considered for this role you should have experience working within fundraising or marketing and ideally a track record in planning and delivering campaigns or appeals. You should possess strong written communication skills and be able to write creative and inspiring content. As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser you should have an exceptional eye for detail, and also be comfortable working towards deadlines and targets.
