An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Community & Events Fundraiser to join our team.
Reporting to the Community Fundraising and Events Manager, you will work as part of a team to generate vital income through professional community stewardship and organising fundraising events and activity in a role where no two days are the same!
You will support the local community, our supporters and volunteers, nurturing relationships and working with key partners and stakeholders to maximise income generation opportunities, attending Hospice run and community organised events.

You will also be responsible for setting up a stewardship plan for Trust Supporters and building and maintaining relationships over the phone, through written communications, and on-site or at events. You will be supported in delivering excellent stewardship.

This role sits within our Corporate Wellbeing Service team, where you will mainly work alongside our Head of Corporate Wellbeing Services and Corporate Fundraiser, to generate income for the charity through community engagement and events. Job Purpose
Support the Fundraising Manager in the successful delivery of fundraising activities in line with Bipolar Scotland’s ambitious strategy and business plan.
Summary
This is a part time role (28hrs p/week) which offers hybrid working.
The Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in the success of our small but vibrant national charity by maximising income from Corporate and Community based stakeholders. The post holder will focus primarily on developing corporate engagement, sponsorship and donations, but will also grow our Community fundraising arm and support the work of other income streams. The Role
As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser you’ll be working alongside passionate and talented fundraising colleagues to achieve the charity’s ambitious plans for income growth. Your duties will include:
- Supporting the delivery of the existing Individual Giving Strategy and increasing acquisition, engagement and income.
- Developing income and expenditure budgets.
- Planning, developing and delivering the charity’s appeals and raffles offering.
- Obtaining compelling Hospice stories from patients and their families, volunteers and staff.
- Managing the stewardship of legacy pledgers and supporting with gifts in wills promotion.
The Person
We are looking for a talented, passionate and innovative individual to propel their income stream forward and achieve great results! To be considered for this role you should have experience working within fundraising or marketing and ideally a track record in planning and delivering campaigns or appeals. You should possess strong written communication skills and be able to write creative and inspiring content. As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser you should have an exceptional eye for detail, and also be comfortable working towards deadlines and targets.
