The Role

Each day you will travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members.

About You

What we need from you:

· A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required);

The role of Supporter Care Officer is a key post in the organisation working to maximise CLAPA’s income from the community. Through this, I will be central to delivering a robust stewardship program designed to engage, retain, and nurture supporters for long-term growth.

By partnering with internal stakeholders, including regional teams, you will lead the development and delivery of newsletters, oversee telemarketing campaigns for reactivation, upgrades, and retention across various donor programs, and ensure operational excellence. With a focus on analysing performance and optimizing strategies, my efforts will aim to strengthen supporter relationships and ensure the continued success of the program.

Job description

• Work with the Head of Communications to develop and deliver an annual communications schedule, including proactively sourcing and creating case studies and testimonials with video, photography and written content

• Create, share, monitor and evaluate engaging content across all our social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) to meet objectives

Role Description

The role holder will be a confident natural leader able to clearly set out and communicate a compelling future income generation direction for TDS. • Inspire the TDS fundraising staff and volunteer team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for income generation.

• Drive a refreshed telemarketing campaign to identify, acquire and engage corporate partners.

• Manage a team of volunteer Fundraisers who will help to deliver against actions in the fundraising plan.

• Review, refresh and guide TDS’ external communication strategy.

• Working closely with the CEO to represent Together Dementia Support across agreed public events and platforms.

Fundraising & Patrons Manager (West Wales Region)

Your chance to join Wales’ leading cancer charity to manage raising funds across an already established West Wales region with loads of scope to generate more income. A key and exciting part of this role will see you as the lead when it comes to our partnership and development work with celebrities and patrons who support our work or seek the opportunity to.

You’ll be joining an experienced fundraising team who generate over £2.8million of annual income. Your fundraising impact is seen in people affected by cancer through the services we run, the difference to lives we make and the campaigns that make meaningful change.

You’ll be managing and building relationships all across West Wales with our supporters, Friends of Tenovus groups and establishing new fundraising connections and work with teams of volunteers. You can expect to manage events such as out annual Lovelight concerts, Singathons and Breast Cancer Awareness Month to name just a few.

Salary: £31,000

Working Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible working

Due to the nature of our fundraising work you’ll need to be flexible at times to work evenings and weekends. Around this we work core 11am-3pm hours to flexibly suit work around your lifestyle and personal commitments and operate our work flexibly between 7am – 9pm so you can do things like the school runs or fit in wellness activities and hobbies with your working life.

About The Murray Parish Trust

Children with a serious illness are three times more likely to struggle with their mental health. Their childhoods are overshadowed by coming to terms with diagnosis, hospital stays, treatment, feeling different from friends or managing how their illness affects daily life. Many of them struggle with severe anxiety and depression, experiencing isolation and trauma during their journey. These children are at much higher risk of long-term mental health difficulties that are more complex and difficult to treat, on top of living with often complex medical needs.

Actors Jim Murray and Sarah Parish’s first daughter, Ella-Jayne, was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome in 2009 and spent half her short life in paediatric intensive care, Southampton Children’s Hospital. Ella-Jayne died, at home, just eight months old. After they recovered from the immediate horror, Jim and Sarah felt an overwhelming drive to help other children and families and founded The Murray Parish Trust in 2014. They were awarded MBE’s in the King’s New Years Honours 2025 for services to seriously ill children and their families.

Our charity delivers projects that support the mental health of seriously ill children and their families. We improve access to specialist, imaginative and empowering support, at the earliest possible moment, to prevent long-term mental health difficulties. We do this by delivering a vast range of projects in children’s hospitals, hospices and other health or community settings across the UK. These include drama, dance, art, nature and music therapy; bereavement and mortuary suites, distraction equipment that reduces anxiety, sanctuary and quiet rooms; sibling support; counselling and therapy rooms; and psychological support for children/family members.

The role - Head of Public Fundraising and Operations

This is an exciting new chapter for The Murray Parish Trust. Our new Head of Public Fundraising and Operations will work closely with the Board of Trustees and our Head of Philanthropy and Projects to scale our impact and expand reach nationwide. They will play a pivotal role in leading operations and shaping the charity’s future, as well as leading on growing income from community, corporate, individual fundraising, which have been identified as strategic fundraising priorities.

We anticipate time will be split roughly equally between leading public fundraising and operational management. There is some freelance support with marketing, corporate and community fundraising, and volunteer coordination, plus trustee support with events; there is scope to expand the team as income grows. This role will support their work as well as personally deliver public fundraising activity, taking sole responsibility for individual giving and legacies.

This is a job of variety, innovation and opportunity. We are looking for an experienced fundraiser, perhaps an aspiring charity CEO, who is looking to develop skills and knowledge in charity management and strategy. This is a job for someone who is ambitious, collaborative, proactive and who has a genuine passion for championing the mental health of seriously ill children and their families.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising: Work alongside with the Head of Philanthropy and Projects to implement the fundraising strategy, including:

• Delivery of the specific fundraising activity delegated to this role to grow income year on year (individuals, community, corporate, legacies, events), supported by the work of freelancers.
• Strategic oversight of all public fundraising including monitoring, evaluating and reporting to the Board.
• Ensure excellence in donor stewardship that helps retain, grow and diversify support from existing donors.
• Maintain a proactive focus on donor acquisition, across the UK, prioritising areas where we have projects.
• Effectively utilise the CRM to proactively and accurately capture donor information and consents.
• Strong focus on return on investment to ensure efficiency in working nationwide, carefully prioritising activity.

Charity management and operations

• Help to shape organisational strategy, using data insight to drive decision making.
• Data management lead; incl. CRM management, data protection, embedding a culture of data collection.
• Lead on setting and managing annual income and expenditure budgets.
• Ensure compliance with the latest regulatory requirements and sector best practice.
• Coordinate and manage policy, procedure, risk management and wider charity administration.
• Provide support for financial management; incl. outsourced book keeping/monthly management accounts; working with accountants to ensure timely production of the Annual Report and Financial Statements
• Work closely with Board members with specific lead responsibility, incl. with the Treasurer in the production of cashflow and other financial reports.
• Supported by the volunteer coordinator (freelance), manage and develop a network of volunteers and ambassadors (e.g. talks, photo calls, events, collection tins, admin, research).
• Act as Secretary to the Board; including statutory filing, coordinating quarterly meetings and taking minutes, compiling/circulating Board papers, diarising other meetings and communication as needed.
• Represent the charity externally with diverse stakeholders.
• Responsible for the effective management and leadership of the public fundraising and operations team.

Community fundraising is at the heart of Lingen Davies, and we are very fortunate to have a strong tradition of support across our region. Our Community Fundraising Manager will work closely with colleagues across the charity to drive and grow our community fundraising even further, ensuring excellent supporter care and stewardship, and building long term relationships for the charity. Attending a range of community events and networking opportunities to act as the face of the charity, including delivery of presentations, and to raise our profile across the region. You will also form part of the team delivering our major fundraising and engagement events each year.

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with our community supporters, with a specific focus on supporting our highly effective fundraising committees. These are already established in Shrewsbury and in Montgomeryshire, and we are looking to set up more committees across the region. You will manage a small team of Community Fundraising staff and ensure they have what they need to offer the best possible support to people in our community who wish to support us. There will be a specific remit for this role, initially to build support for Lingen Davies in Telford and Wrekin.

Working to agreed budgets, you will help us to reach ambitious fundraising targets to ensure that we can provide the best possible support for people living with cancer in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Mid Wales.

You will work with colleagues to develop the use of our CRM system and apply data analysis to support delivery of the role, and to develop future plans and direction. You will be self-managing, motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills and be computer savvy!

Key Responsibilities

Donor management

• Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified
• Create and maintain a schedule of approaches to new, lapsed, and existing funders; developing, writing, and delivering creative and engaging proposals in line with the objectives and criteria of each funder
• Work collaboratively across teams and areas of operation identifying new funding opportunities, reporting on impact and evaluation
• Develop and implement a programme and methodology of approaches to small, medium and large trusts
• Work toward an agreed annual work plan meeting targets and milestones; prioritising workload and planning activity.

Identifying funding opportunities to ensure that our charity broadens awareness of and funding for our vital work

• Identify and research a comprehensive pipeline of realistic funding opportunities including trusts and corporate foundations
• Maintain a broad knowledge of the organisation’s funding needs
• Liaise closely with senior managers and teams to plan and develop the strongest possible proposals
• Approach funders, develop and maintain new relationships and access new fundraising opportunities
• Regularly research new opportunities via cold trusts

Developing strong relationships with funders

• Develop and maintain stewardship plans to keep all funders engaged with the impact of their support, including managing visits
• Report to key funders on progress, expenditure, and future plans
• Working with delivery and management staff to ensure that funder objectives and monitoring requirements are met
• Maintain accurate records and information about funders on Raiser’s Edge NXT and in communication with the finance team
• Identify and initiate opportunities for funders to engage with Toynbee Hall beyond their funded project

Strategic

•  Plan and deliver individual fundraising projects; developing new fundraising ideas and engaging internal and external stakeholders to deliver them
• Work with Head of Fundraising to report and forecast progress against established targets for income, research, and relationship development
• Stay informed of developments and trends in fundraising by monitoring sector news and networking with appropriate organisations
• Work with Executive team and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) to leverage their contacts and expertise

Team responsibility

• Develop and maintain mutually supportive internal relationships with project teams, finance, monitoring and senior management
• Work in line with the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, Fundraising Regulator
  and GDPR, fulfilling any additional legal requirements related to this function of fundraising

- Collaborate with fundraising teams to ensure seamless support for campaigns and events.

- Monitor stock levels of materials and coordinate replenishments when needed.
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure smooth operations within the team.
- Participate in team meetings and help develop innovative solutions to improve supporter experiences.

Key Criteria:
