Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner, you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service, conducting assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. You will also be required to manage a caseload.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will also have the ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families and external agencies to provide a service which maximises outcomes for service users. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.

This is a Permanent role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

They are now seeking a Care Operations Manager to have full oversight of the daily operations of the organisation, maximise the number of carers supported in Surrey/care hours delivered, and ensure the organisation is fully complaint in line with regulatory guidance and legislation.  They are also looking to expand their self-funded care business. This is ideal for someone who currently works or aspires to a role in Senior Operations Management.

The rota will include early shifts (08:00 - 16:00), late shifts (14:00 - 22:00), and weekends.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.STEP is open to all refugees, and people seeking asylum with the right to work.

Our strategy over the next 12 months is to refine and strengthen our programmes, with a focus on excellence, innovation and sustainability across STEP.  Central to these efforts is adopting ‘Lean Impact’ principles across our organisation and ways of working, with the support of Spring Impact. The starting point of this work is the planning and pilot of STEP Online, an intensive version of STEP to fast track those who are highly skilled. We plan to explore, test and plan for this programme in consultancy with Spring Impact, leveraging their Lean Impact Methodology.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading this piece of work with two main objectives:

1. Explore, test and plan for STEP Online. This will involve being the lead implementer of testing minimum viable products, participating in workshops and identified working groups, and co-leading on test coaching sessions and team reflections with Spring Impact.
2. Establish and build internal capacity and development for Lean Impact. This includes supporting a discipline of continuous testing and learning at World Jewish Relief to be able to rapidly trial, refine and scale other models across the organisation on a longer-term basis.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience developing and implementing innovative and community-centred learning practices, including designing prototypes, data collection, analysis and using a high level of numeracy to make data-driven decisions to build impactful solutions (i.e., Lean Impact, Equity-Centred Design, Human Centred Design).
• Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource management.
• Experience working on projects for people who have experienced forced migration, particularly, in the refugee employment sphere would be desirable.
• Empathy & Emotional Awareness - Ability to hear accurately and understand unspoken, partly expressed thoughts, needs and concerns of others
• Data Analysis - A strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, the measurement of project and social impact and sufficiently numerate to be highly competent at analysing data sets.
• Self-motivated - Highly entrepreneurial, flexible, and committed to getting things done

We are seeking an experienced, flexible, self-motivated person who will work with the Home-Start team, training and supervising a team of home-visiting volunteers, peer Buddies and holding a caseload of families needing support. The role is based in our Watford offices with travel to families and volunteers in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere. Home-Start is a leading family support charity, committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 5. Parent volunteers offer regular support to families in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. 
 

The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience of working face to face with families

· Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

· Experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers

· Skilled at delivering training

· Excellent interpersonal skills, experienced at working with a wide variety of people

· Good IT skills

New Citizens’ Gateway is a registered charity with the aim to improve the quality of life and promote the physical, social and mental well-being of refugees and asylum seekers helping to reduce health inequalities, social exclusion and poverty and enabling positive integration.

We are seeking to enlist an experienced Refugee General Adviser to become a valuable member of our vibrant and active advisory team. Your role will involve offering information and guidance on matters such as accessing welfare benefits, PIP, housing, NASS support, education, employment, and training. This assistance will be provided not only at our office but also via phone and during community outreach initiatives.

You should possess substantial experience in offering direct advisory support to clients, collaborating with statutory services, and possessing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges encountered by Asylum Seekers/Refugees, as well as the available resources for their aid. Additionally, you will need the capability to deliver training and workshops, function effectively as a collaborative team member, exhibit adept negotiation and communication abilities, and manage demanding situations with minimal oversight.

This role sits within our Youth Impact directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support. Your role will be to advocate for children and young people in Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester local authorities.
