The Role

The TSA is seeking a highly experienced, confident and capable Head of Fundraising to provide leadership and direction on all aspects of income generation. Strategic, leadership and management

Provide leadership for fundraising and income generation across the TSA team. Attend regular strategy meetings and be a leading voice in shaping the TSA’s income generation activities

Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by:
· providing a public rescue, rehabilitation, and release service for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.

To maximise the potential funding available for Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR), particularly through obtaining grants from trusts, foundations, local authorities and other sources.

Our Fundraising Manager is responsible for planning and preparing all fundraising and grants working alongside all departments to ensure projects are fulfilled from inception to fruition. Grants Manager
We are seeking a proactive and detailed Grants Manager to support our development team on the journey to further Cardboard Citizens’ ambitions as a dynamic, flexible and forward-thinking social justice charity and theatre company, working with people who have experience of homelessness and poverty or inequity.
Our organisation secures over £1m in voluntary funding each year and our Grants Manager will play a vital role in securing and growing the broad range of voluntary support which allows to make exceptional art for social change. You will manage a rich portfolio of existing funder relationships across Trusts & Foundations, Corporate and Statutory income streams, in addition to researching and writing applications for new funding and working closely with the Delivery team on impact monitoring and reporting. Are you an experienced major donor fundraiser with a track record of achieving significant gifts from HNWI, corporates and trusts? This is a challenging and demanding role, bringing together all major gift sources. Supported by a fundraising assistant, you will be responsible for delivering ambitious income targets from HNWI, corporates, trust and legacies. You will need excellent communication and networking skills and be able to produce high quality, imaginative and compelling presentations, proposals, letters and pitches. You will also be responsible for our individual giving and fundraising in the community by directing and supporting the fundraising assistant.

Key Responsibilities
Financial:
- Raising purchase orders, processing purchase invoices & expenses & making payments.
- Ensuring appropriate backup is saved within Xero to support accounting transactions.
- Liaising with wholesale customers, raising sales invoices and reviewing ageing debtors following up on payments.
- Routine communication regarding financial information with regulators and banks.
Board of Trustees & CEO support:
- Arranging Board and committee meetings - securing dates, venue bookings, preparing and collating papers and presentations, taking minutes and facilitating actions.
- Coordinate Trust policy reviews and ensure these are completed in a timely manner
- Organising team meetings, team awaydays and collating and sharing information and notes arising from those sessions
Recruitment & HR:
- Preparing documentation & placing adverts.
- Organising interviews both in person and online.
- Processing documentation - new starter details, contracts & updating the HR system.
- Organising and booking staff training as required.
- Arranging DBSs for staff and trustees as required.
Retail:
- Monitoring online stock levels, placing orders for merchandise, and liaising with our fulfilment centre.
- Ensuring our retail management system contains up to date data, by reviewing stock takes, accurately processing orders and updating the database as appropriate.
- Producing quarterly stock take reports.
- Supporting the sales team at Port Lockroy.
General:
- Monitoring inbox, office telephone & postbag
- Working flexibly with colleagues in the broader support of the aims of the Trust. Providing ad hoc administrative support as required.

Location: This position is based in our Cambridge office, where we operate a hybrid working model - a flexible blend of homeworking with essential office-based work at the office at High Cross, Madingley Road, Cambridge, CB3 0ET.
Salary: £28,000 pro rata
Working Hours
- 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Flexible working hours available; to be agreed upon appointment.

Human Practice Foundation (HPF) is searching for a UK Country Manager to join the team and further establish the organisation in this market. The charity’s mission is to work sustainably and holistically to build schools and bring 1,000,000 children into a safe and empowering educational environment, with a focus in Nepal and Kenya.
The UK Country Manager will prioritise continuing the growth of the charity’s funds and will work with an existing network of trusts & foundations and philanthropic individuals, as well as continuing to spread HPF’s message.

Role purpose and dimensions:
- Design and implement a UK Fundraising Strategy, particularly aimed at foundations, institutions, corporates and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in the UK, capable of delivering significant income growth over the next 3-5 years.
- Independently manage a portfolio of prospects and funders, as well as high level volunteers, with the capacity and propensity to give significant funds in support of HPF’s work. This will involve managing and meeting all application deadlines.
- Identify, research, qualify and manage a pipeline of funding prospects.
- Develop a range of funding proposals, pitches and appeals, to successfully solicit funds.
- Design and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship programme, including a combination of events, proposals, reporting, communications and visits.
- Network on behalf of the foundation, representing HPF at the highest levels and at a wide range of events, working with existing and developing new contacts to secure vital introductions.
- Oversee the governance of the UK operation, including all statutory reporting requirements.
- Regular narrative, financial and KPI reporting to the UK Board and to Copenhagen, including provision of board papers ahead of/ presentations at Board meetings.
- Contribute towards key global initiatives and projects, and lead on Foundations fundraising across HPF.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Senior fundraising professional with proven leadership skills and at least three-years’ experience in a not-for-profit organisation
- Strong track record of securing significant donations and grants from foundations and/or institutions (six-figures +). References will be required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering successful funding applications, proposals and pitches
- Self-starter, able to operate independently, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in virtual team working with other senior colleagues.
- A proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF at the highest levels.
- Experienced relationship manager, able to build and maintain relationships with funders, as well as experience working with senior staff, board members and volunteers to cultivate donors.

The context for this role:
This new position, created to lead HPF’s mission in the UK, and lead Trust and Foundation fundraising efforts globally, is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter to build on HPF’s success and grow its income from UK and international foundations, institutions and corporations, as well as UK-based high net worth individuals.

With a strong start to its ambitious Corporate Partnership programme, commercial and/or business experience is highly desirable as well as a proven track record in creating and optimising new funding channels.

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Is leading the charity through its next phases of development as it prepares itself for year on year increases in demand with a focus on delivering the charity’s future resilience plan (Project 12/25). The CEO is accountable for overall charity performance (financial, operational, governance, compliance), team (paid and volunteer) support and development. Additionally, there are a wide range of community and external partner relationships to manage and develop. Ultimately this role sets the tone for the charity, one of both compassion and ambition to improve the lives of the people who need us. This is primarily an on-site role, with occasional opportunity to work flexibly.
