The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils. The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding. More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.
You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School. Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians. Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.
You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures. Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success. The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility. This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground. You will need to be proactive, enterprising and systematic in approaching funders, and be able to engage and manage internal stakeholders.
This is a permanent position, working 9.00am until 5.30pm 4 or 5 days per week. Some flexibility will be required to attend evening and weekend concerts and events at YMS and in London.
The salary is competitive, based on experience.

Summary
This is an exciting time for the Philanthropy and Partnerships team as we develop a rich and evolving portfolio of strategic projects that will appeal to a wide range of funders. As the Trusts and Statutory Officer, you'll play a crucial role in driving fundraising for our new strategic focus on key priorities identified by people living with diabetes. You'll be responsible for bringing in income of circa £200,000 for the Trusts and Statutory team from a high-volume portfolio, with a view to increasing its value year on year.

Main Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the small trusts portfolio to maximise income generation (circa 200k), submitting bids under £20k and stewarding funders. You'll work closely with the Partnership Manager and the Prospect Research and Data Officer to identify funders and submit compelling proposals that accurately reflect both funder criteria and organisational funding priorities.
You'll work with colleagues across the charity to ensure grant conditions are met and deliver excellent stewardship practices.
Ideal Candidate
You'll be a highly organised individual, with experience of managing and delivering a high-volume trust portfolio.
You'll have excellent communication skills and will be able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Your naturally collaborative approach to team working is balanced by accountability and a proactive, independent attitude.

Your experience in writing tailored and high quality applications will be key and an asset to the team!
You'll bring your previous experience as a trust fundraiser to hit the ground running and pick up the current portfolio whilst also exploring and researching new avenues for trusts and grant application potential that will leverage a range of opportunities available.

We’re looking for an Enterprise Manager to join our London & South East regional team. You will cover waterways from the busy Regents Canal, Lee Navigation, parts of the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal. Our miles of canal provide active travel corridors, opportunities for our communities to improve their wellbeing and blue-green wildlife habitats.
As Enterprise Manager, you will secure external funding through partnerships and bid writing, and support delivery of projects which ‘transform places and enrich lives’. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop potential projects in line with our strategic priorities and be responsible for securing funding to make them happen. You will support our Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle from inception to closure in line with the Trust’s financial reporting process, acting as first point of contact for external funders throughout. You will also act as point of contact and support project development for third parties carrying out active travel and public realm improvements on our land.
At any given time, you will hold a portfolio of varied projects, from towpath and access improvements, as well as habitat improvements, community engagement and heritage conservation.
Location
The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working in Little Venice. Travel required within the region for site visits, media calls, social media moments, events and meetings.
It is therefore essential that you are able to effectively work from home, whilst also having the flexibility to be mobile when necessary.

Key responsibilities:

About you:
This role is based with our London & Southeast team, and we are looking for someone with particular experience and developed networks across this region.Our successful Enterprise Manager may previously have worked in roles such as Partnerships Manager, Development Manager, Fundraising Manager, Partnerships & Fundraising Manager, and will ideally have good knowledge and confidence in identifying and successfully bidding for project funding via government departments, regional agencies, statutory funders, and charitable trusts. Prior experience of statutory funded active travel schemes is desirable.
Technical:
- A proven track record of developing and writing successful funding bids.
- Knowledge of funding environments, including lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts.
- Experience of strategic relationship, partnership development and management.

This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. We want to dramatically grow income from trusts, foundations and institutional donors in the UK market and we are looking for a motivated Trusts & Institutional Funding Executive to support the new Trusts and Institutional Funding team to reach more children than ever.
A member of the Philanthropy and Partner Engagement team, you will report into the Institutional Funding Lead whilst working closely with the regional teams, the country teams, the War Child Alliance team and all relationship managers within the Philanthropy and Partner engagement team.
Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes, by ensuring compliance with quality and donor requirements, contributing to effective risk management, providing support for the different donor accounts and ensuring processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient. The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Your responsibilities
Support to secure funding from institutional and trust donors
· Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team and within the War Child Alliance with countries, regional and global teams
· Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child. Utilise a variety of resources to gather comprehensive information.
· Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages. Coordinate logistical details, such as scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation, to ensure smooth and productive meetings. Join senior colleagues in donor meetings and engagement opportunities when necessary.
· Support with the submission of concept notes, proposals (including Go-NoGo, internal approvals, donor vetting, due diligence, administrative documents) and reports. This includes conducting research on donors for vetting, coordinating with all internal stakeholders to organise a Go-NoGo decision, securing internal approvals in line with our Authorisation matrix, and liaising internally to gather relevant administrative documents and information).
· Work with War Child Alliance colleagues (including the Alliance Institutional Funding team, Country Directors, Regional teams and War Child NL colleagues) to support the creation of cases for support and capacity statements as required for UK donors to engage prospective donors and potential consortia partners.
· Collect information, provide access to and manage administrative data on donor databases and donor portals. Update our profile as required to ensure we are ready to submit proposals in a timely manner.
Strengthen internal capacities for Trusts & Institutional fundraising
· Support the implementation of internal grant management processes, ensuring compliance with our Grant Management Manual as well as compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations
· Ensure accuracy of data in our grant management and Finance systems, including coding and alignment with our Finance policy and update data as required to ensure reports are accurate, up-to-date and insightful
· Prepare Salesforce reports, circulate with relevant stakeholders and analyse them to identify areas of success, issues and patterns, helping the team to make informed decision for future plans and strategies
· Liaise with and support the Alliance to support IATI (the International Aid Transparency Initiative) reporting as required, providing grant information and administrative documents
· Ensure compliant and organised information filing on Sharepoint to facilitate access to relevant information for all War Child staff and ensure smooth collaboration.
Improve work processes and disseminate information
· Identify gaps or bottlenecks in internal processes and propose ways for improvement, including developing tools and templates where necessary
· Facilitate work processes, provide guidance to the team and coordinate with the wider War Child Alliance to facilitate the sharing and improve the quality of information
· Support with improvement of Salesforce, coordinating with the Trusts & Institutional Funding team, Finance team and data team to identify any gaps in the system, suggesting ideas and documenting changes in our Salesforce Best Practice document
Support restricted fundraising capacity across Philanthropy and Partners engagement functions
· Disseminate and train Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams on Restricted funding processes, identifying the best way to engage all team members to ensure all restricted proposals follow the grant management policy
· Provide support to Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams to ensure compliance with War child’s and donors requirements on Restricted funding opportunities
· Provide logistical support for staff travels, liaising with country teams, our Security Adviser and providers in line with our safe travel and finance procedures.
· Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK's Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

Summary of the role:
As the Trust and Foundation Coordinator, you will support the International Programmes Department (IPD) by:
- Programme Development: Enhancing institutional funding to raise essential funds for Muslim Aid’s international humanitarian and development programmes through Trusts, Foundations, and Partner Offices.
- Quality Assurance: Assisting the MEAL Manager in developing and implementing effective MEAL systems to ensure quality service delivery across all programmes.
You will play a crucial role in this newly formed unit, working closely with partners, country offices, and donors to improve systems within the IPD and support the dynamic global programme portfolio of Muslim Aid.
About the Role:
- Lead donor mapping process for Trusts and Foundations. Continuously, update this mapping document regularly based on engagement with prospective donors.
- Lead the proposal/concept development process for T&F and MA Partner offices submissions.
- Support the Global Programme Development and Quality Assurance Manager in managing a portfolio of institutional donor grants relationships and implement donor engagement strategies for prioritised donors (including FCDO, UN agencies, USAID, SIDA, START Network, etc.).
- Support the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager to strengthen MEAL system globally. This includes ensuring high-quality data tracking progress, analysing data, and generating knowledge and documentation of best practices.
- Work with Country Offices, Global Programme Development and Quality Assurance, Humanitarian and Programme units to support on disaster responses and associated appeals.
- Support the unit in providing the development and implementing capacity development workshops for the IPD team, country offices, and partner offices either face to face or virtually.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educated to bachelor’s degree level.
- Experience of successfully fundraising and dealing with institutional donors and international donors with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
- Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
- Significant experience and knowledge of effective budgetary control and grant management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels. Good tact and diplomacy at all times.
- Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with strong bid and report writing skills.

About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting a talented Trusts and Foundations Manager who will help to develop and increase income from this emerging income stream for Habitat. With the support of our Head of Philanthropy, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will research new opportunities, and manage the existing pipeline to meet our income targets.
What the role involves
Trusts and foundations are becoming a growing contributor to Habitat’s global programmes and to our work here in the UK, and there is significant potential to develop this further. The role will initially account manage all funders giving up to £50,000, with potential to work on, and take ownership of, larger projects as we grow. Principle activities will include:
Researching new opportunities: Using a variety of sources to proactively identify relevant funding opportunities, matching these with Habitat’s strategic priorities, and planning approaches.
Making applications: Using your exceptional writing skills to synthesise complex information from a range of sources and craft compelling proposals which clearly communicate the impact of Habitat’s programming globally and in the UK, and the synergy with funder criteria.
Stewarding funders: Building our credibility through timely reporting and communication, and tailoring this to the interests of the funder, with the aim of securing repeat and uplifted funding.
Putting a robust administration framework in place: You’ll need to keep Raiser’s Edge, the CRM system we use, up to date, ensure that funder deadlines are met, and future opportunities recorded.
The skills we are looking for:
Experience
Previous experience of raising funds from Trusts and Foundations for development programs across the world and in the UK, and an understanding of the landscape in order to research and qualify opportunities.
Financial literacy, able to review budgets and manage targets and KPIs.
Working in an International context, for an NGO or another organisation.

- Exceptional writing skills, able to produce information and compelling proposals, and reports.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven fundraiser to join Kew’s successful Development team. Through maximising income from trusts and foundations and achieving Kew’s fundraising targets, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will enable Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to realise its goal to help end the extinction crisis and contribute to a world where nature is protected, valued by all, and managed sustainably.
This is a fantastic opportunity to actively participate in the implementation of the Trusts and Foundations strategy, helping to maintain and grow our income. The postholder will produce high-quality proposals, effectively steward existing donors, and establish and develop relationships with new funders to Kew. About You
An excellent writer with the ability to develop persuasive proposals, you will be responsible for making funding applications to trusts and foundations and providing funding impact reports as required. You will be an experienced fundraiser with a strong understanding of effective trust fundraising techniques, sound analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail with experience of achieving financial targets. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and effective relationships with funders and colleagues. You will be a strong communicator and creative thinker with the ability to work calmly under pressure and synthesise complex information to inspire a variety of audiences.
Whilst primarily based at Kew, there is the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
