We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Trust Funding Coordinator to join our high achieving Major Partnerships Unit. This role sits in The Philanthropic Partnerships Team, which is specifically responsible for all trust, foundation and major donor relationships and income. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, as part of an exciting and innovative team. 

Working closely with the Trust Funding Officer, you will contribute to sustaining and increasing income from trusts and foundations. You will focus on donors with the capacity to give up to £25,000 a year to Plan International, as well as identifying, researching and applying to new prospects at this level, and supporting the prospecting process in the trusts team. You will also manage a small trusts’ portfolio running mailings through the database and looking for opportunities to grow portfolio income.

We are looking for an individual who has experience of managing several projects simultaneously and be able to demonstrate a clear and persuasive writing style. You will also have a keen interest in fundraising from trusts and foundations, ideally have experience of working in a fundraising team or similar environment and be proficient in using IT packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher. Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Your role involves crafting compelling funding applications and reports, creating an ambitious fundraising strategy, applying for and securing large multi-year grants from new and existing donors, ensuring exemplary donor stewardship, and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a specific emphasis on Trusts and Foundations & corporate fundraising, to ensure a steady pipeline of funding opportunities. Coordinate with team members to meet fundraising targets effectively and manage donation pipelines working with CEO and Finance manager to ensure the pipeline matches the cashflow.

• Directly oversee and support your team members, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching to ensure both individual and team objectives are achieved. (currently the team is 3)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, including Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and Statutory bodies, through proactive engagement and personalized stewardship.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop persuasive proposals and impactful reports that effectively communicate Village Water’s mission and achievements.

• Plan and implement annual fundraising campaigns.

• Work closely with monitoring and finance teams to accurately assess impact and budgetary needs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors.

This brand new role will be responsible for both Events and Corporate Partnership fundraising, with the initial, primary focus being on developing and delivering an events programme. Corporate fundraising responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of existing partnerships and where there are opportunities, developing new corporate relationships. • Proactively monitor our social media channels, responding as relevant.

We are looking for an enthuiastic and driven Head of Fundraising and Development who has a strong track record of success in strategic development and management of six-figure funding partnerships and relationship building.

You will develop and foster relationships with the aim of obtaining financial support for the sustainable development and growth of QEST. This will be the largest fundraising drive in the charity’s history and a successful, effective team will be central to its success.

The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations.  The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.

As the portfolio is mixed in its development, it is important that this post holder can work with tenacity and resilience in an ever evolving landscape of relationships and opportunities, in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Fundraising. The successful candidate must have a positive, pro-active, donor-centric approach to relationship fundraising and demonstrate proven success at securing major gift support from individuals and family trusts/foundations. Alongside excellent relationship and communication skills, candidates must be confident, resourceful and proactive, with initiative and a problem-solving disposition.

JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will support all aspects of business development to achieve the Association’s objectives, including securing funding from a range of sources; keeping abreast of income sources and funding opportunities; assisting and supporting the development of bids, tenders, and making applications to grant makers, trusts and others with funds to invest.

Some Key Tasks & Responsibilities:-

· Preparing quality funding bids and tender submissions (including to Trusts; Foundations’ Lottery; Local Authorities, Health Service, etc.) to meet the Association’s objectives.

· Keep abreast of funding and tendering opportunities from public, government, trusts and private sectors ensuring WLCA managers and consortium partners are kept informed, where appropriate.

· Maximising opportunities by preparing and submitting expressions of interest /pre-qualification through to the tender stage, objectively reviewing bid submissions and making appropriate changes/improvements.

· Ensuring bids and tender submissions are developed with community engagement and input, ideally coproduced with community members and potential beneficiaries.

· Supporting the development of project concepts by researching and developing relationships with prospective funders.

· Liaising with and supporting consortium funding opportunities, applications, and project development in line with the tendering and funding bid requirements.

· Developing and maintaining a database of funders and creating good practice fundraising guides and model applications.

· Developing links with the private sector to provide sponsorships and funding through Social Value and Corporate Social Responsibility.

You will be able to confidently engage with a range of stakeholders, including senior staff and trustees. Your personable approach will allow you form effective working relationships and motivate colleagues across the organisation. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with fundraising CRM systems e.g., Donorfy would also be an advantage although again, not essential. You will be able to prepare and maintain detailed reports on projects, including key performance indicators, income and expenditure budgets.
