About the role

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow corporate fundraising income, to support our mission to improve mental health in Hampshire. You will join us at an exciting time, having just launched our new three-year strategy, and this role is pivotal in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions in the years ahead.

The role is to lead the corporate fundraising activities for Solent Mind, which have grown significantly over the last five years. This will include maximising support through Charity of the Year relationships and participation in activities, events and challenges in aid of Solent Mind, and by securing one-off gifts in support of Solent Mind. You will research and build our corporate pipeline and support the delivery of our wider employer engagement which covers all aspects of employment engagement including fundraising, training and mental health employer service. 

This role is within Solent Mind’s fundraising and external engagement team, and the successful candidate will manage and be supported by the Corporate Fundraising Officer.

30 to 37 hours per week

Southampton and across various Solent Mind sites in Hampshire, combined with hybrid working in the UK

About you

You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle. 

You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.

We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to join this inspirational organisation. The main duties include: 

• Maximising income, with a focus on high value trusts, to deliver the 5-year growth strategy.
• Researching funding opportunities, based on a sound knowledge and understanding of funding requirements.
• Implementing processes to effectively manage applications, reports and relationships.
• Ensuring income is spent in compliance with funders terms and conditions.

The Person

We are looking for someone with experience in securing significant income, including six figure gifts. You will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful trusts and foundations fundraising. You should have:

• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
• A creative flair and the ability to write a compelling application for funding.
• The capability to manage a diverse workload and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
• Enthusiasm, passion and a positive attitude.

The successful candidate will beresponsible for maximising income through charitable trusts and foundations, develoing our trust and foundations fundraising programme in line with our strategic plans and objectives, and will be responsible for researching, applying, and securing income from Trusts and Foundations. Trusts and Foundations

• Working with the Director of Fundraising and Marketing and the Head of Day Hospice and Wellbeing Services, create the annual Trusts and Foundations Plan for City Hospice, which features in the annual fundraising plan.
• Manage, motivate, research, identify, and apply for major and minor grant funding streams to support the core services and projects of City Hospice.
• Using a range of research tools, identify potential trusts and foundations that may support City Hospice and develop a pipeline of new and existing prospects.
• Match new and existing trusts and foundations to City Hospice projects and services and identify core funding opportunities.
• Work with the Head of Day Hospice and Wellbeing Services to identify appropriate projects and services for funding.
• Create compelling and tailored trust and foundations funding applications that motivate and inspire trusts and foundations to support City Hospice to realise its exciting ambitions.
• Create templates for generic proposals as appropriate to the funder.
• Implement an effective stewardship model that maintains and builds on relationships with existing Trusts & Foundations.
• Work with the relevant teams to collect information and ensure donors receive regular and timely progress reports including appropriate recognition of their support, taking into account any specific requirements by the funder.
• Develop positive relationships with Trust & Foundation representatives and monitor supporter feedback, sharing appropriately with the Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager.
• Brief relevant staff about funders before funder meetings as appropriate.
• Meet regularly with operational teams and SMT to identify budgeted activities that can be packaged as projects and matched to the appropriate funders
• Manage the reporting process for existing and new grants
• Work with operational colleagues to collate the information required to support funded projects and programmes and provide feedback and evaluation to grant funders following successful bids.
• Co-ordinate regular Project Oversight Group meetings, chaired by the Finance Director, to ensure grant funded projects are on track and are reported in accordance with deadlines.
• Manage a small team of volunteers who research and apply for suitable grants.

• Finance and Administration

• Develop and maintain accurate reporting and application systems and share information with the wider team as appropriate.
• Maintain effective administration of grants received.
• Transition existing recording systems to Raiser’s Edge CRM system.
• Meet targets set for trust fundraising income with the support of the Head of Day Hospice and Wellbeing Services and staff across the relevant departments including Clinical Services.
• Provide regular progress and income reports to the Fundraising and Marketing Director as required.

• Marketing and Communications

• Identify media and PR opportunities for trust donors in collaboration with the Fundraising and Marketing Director and the Marketing Assistant, including ensuring appropriate acknowledgements and recognition.
• Represent City Hospice, as required, at events with fundraising peers and with groups of supporters, including giving talks or presentations as necessary.
• Participate in internal/external meetings and attend training events and other functions as necessary.

• Other

• Assisting at fundraising events (for which TOIL will be given)
• Undertake training, development, and appraisal activities as required
• Evaluate own performance critically and strive for continual improvement
• Select and make use of relevant resources, including IT, to manage workload effectively.

A skilled Fundraiser you will be able to develop and execute fundraising activities and cultivate relationships, all while offering support in fundraising that aligns with the strategic priorities outlined in our fundraising plan.

As a specialist in corporate partnerships, you will report to the Head of Fundraising and contribute to supporting children's and adult social care services.

We’re looking for someone who has;

• An undergraduate degree in a related field or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in related field.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate partnerships and/or fundraising, with a keen interest in cultivating partnerships. 
• Adept at communicating confidently and professionally, both within the organisation and with external parties.
• Proven track record of meeting financial targets within a fundraising or sales context.
• Full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.

The Role

We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join the growing fundraising team. You will play a significant role in delivering funding for projects to support the provision of hospice care. The main purpose of this role is to:

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for proactive and reactive media relations; effective engagement on social media; developing engaging content for our website; supporting on Calls for Evidence and drafting copy for marketing materials, including our e-newsletter. A highly autonomous role, you will work closely with our fundraising, counselling, and research teams.  You will plan and deliver effective communications that reach, engage, motivate, and resonate with media, clients, fundraisers, and policy makers across a range of channels.

The charity was originally established by a group of survivors and Counsellors to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, designed by and for women, to ensure that women affected by DA can live a life free from further harm and abuse.

This is a pivotal time to join the Woman’s Trust Communication’s team, as we want to generate more awareness of our work, capitalising on our unique position in the women’s and mental health sectors. We want to proactively get organisations involved in the conversations that matter – while reflecting the confidential nature and sensitivities around domestic abuse and mental health.

Individual Giving Fundraiser

We’re looking for someone whose communication and project skills will make a difference. Dougie Mac is not just seeking an Individual Giving Fundraiser – we are inviting a compassionate advocate to join our hospice mission.

Some of what you’ll do:

 Lead on Individual Giving projects: Plan, deliver and manage effective initiatives such as our flagship Light Up A Life donation campaign, our Regular Giving programme and seasonal donation asks, maximising donations and donor retention.

Forge meaningful supporter relationships: Working closely with our Marketing Team, you will create compelling communications and materials to show local people the impact they can make by supporting Dougie Mac.

 Maximise Gift Aid opportunities: Lead our efforts on maximising and promoting our Gift Aid scheme.  Dougie Mac currently claims over £170k of Gift Aid every year!

 Provide an excellent donor experience: Help to serve supporters who visit or contact our Fundraising Hub to make fundraising enquiries or to pay in their donations. Showing compassion, gratitude and keeping them well informed.

Salary: £23,100k - £26k depending on experience/ qualifications with a clear progression plan and opportunities for study. Full time is 37.5 hours. Standard hours of work are 9am – 5pm across 6 days, Monday-Saturday. Saturday working will be on a 5 week rota basis working on our Fundraising Hub. Flexible working considered.

 Variety: No 2 days are ever the same, once 1 campaign is complete it’s onto the next and your time working on the Fundraising Hub will give an abundance of supporter interaction and variety.

Harris Hill is looking for an interim Fundraiser for 3 months, to cover an interim recruitment period.

This role is a fixed term contract, employed directly by the client. As it stands, you would ideally work full time with 2 days in the London office. However, if you are able to offer 3,4, or 5 days per week and even poetnitally remote based, we would like to hear from you.

The main focus of this role is to keep the applications flowing. As the post has been vacant, they are a little behind, so this need to be caught up so that things can keep moving and in a more stable position when the permanent post holder is found. These applications are high level 5 figures plus, but will include some grant management.

The focus of the organisation is disability but we are open to finding someone from other areas within the charity remit.

Salary: £24k - £26k pa (FTE) depending on experience/ qualifications with a clear progression plan and opportunities for study. Part time and flexible working considered.
