Our Data and Impact Manager works dynamically across the organisation to support frontline teams in recording and sharing the impact of our work. We’re looking for someone curious, patient and with a strong eye for detail. This role oversees our data and outcomes tools, making sure we’re accurately recording and evidencing the change we create. The role holder will work across an array of digital tools to provide data and narrative about our work for our teams, funders and the wider public.

We are excited to be recruiting a Research and Evaluation Consultancy Lead to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by growing the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. 

The Consultancy Lead will provide research and evaluation services to universities and other education organisations working in the university access and student success space. This role will work alongside a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to deliver high-quality consultancy projects and will report to the charity’s Chief Impact and Strategy Officer. The role will involve collaborating with different teams from across the organisation and will include coordinating and managing colleagues on consultancy activities.  The role will also contribute significantly to business development work to support the charity’s income generation. 

The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations. 

The successful candidate will have strong quantitative research skills and have a proven track record of delivering evaluation projects in education or a related field. They will be highly experienced with managing stakeholder relationships and delivering concurrent projects and, ideally, will have also contributed to bid writing and/or other income-generation activities. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

• has advanced quantitative research skills and knowledge of evaluation methodologies, with experience of constructing comparison groups and running statistical models to understand impact.
• has excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally with experience of bid writing. 
• has experience managing multiple projects concurrently, including managing and quality assuring other colleagues’ work. 
• has the ability to manage and analyse datasets using software packages (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
• has knowledge of the UK education landscape, including higher education. 
• has experience working in an evaluation/research consultancy environment.
• will adhere to information security policies included in the charity’s ISO 27001 manual and complete information security training.
• has a demonstrable passion for furthering The Brilliant Club’s mission.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small charity at a time of big growth. Go Forward Youth was founded by care leavers to provide support to care experienced young people as they transition to adulthood and independence. This is the beginning of a long-term service being delivered and requires developing the plans strategically. Our services aims are to reduce social isolation and improve outcomes for young adults who have recently left the care system by offering a place for them to turn in moments of celebration, loneliness, crisis and offering programmes that support them to develop the skills required for their independence, including an ambitious mix of enterprise training and work experience. This requires presenting to local authorities and third sector organisations to engage young people and develop partnerships with leaving care teams. Our long-term vision is to combat the stigma that surrounds leaving care so that care experienced people feel supported and empowered to achieve their ambitions without barriers to accessing opportunities and ongoing support. We run a busy programme of social activities when other services are closed, in part during the day, evenings and weekends, to enhance personal development, and employability and training skills for care leavers across London and we are looking for a hardworking, confident, experienced youth manager, with long term professional experience in youth work, with innovative ideas and who take responsibility for the development of the targeted youth support, the outreach work, programme development, and strategic development with the engagement of the young adults as we grow the service.

We currently have two core developing services that focus on two principal areas:  

Ø Social support/ peer/ community/ network/ supportive adult role models

Ø Education/entrepreneurship/empowerment/ professional network

1. The GFY, HUB, the Charity’s flagship programme. To create an environment of support for young adults who are ambitious but could be experiencing additional challenges while transitioning into adulthood and who need a network (the right support), and a home-away-from-home (a physical space to go to). When in full operation the HUB will run on Thursday – Sunday 4-9pm (between) and on weekdays (between) 3-9pm. Until we have an established HUB programme your working hours will be 9am to 5pm. These times are specific as other services are closed, and when the young people express feeling the most isolated. Includes the developing Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

2. The OWN IT PROGRAMME, powered by GF +, Own It is an outsourced employment, skills, and training programme for young care leavers, delivered in house. A mix of training ILM Level 3 Enterprise (accredited), product development (industry input), enterprise and entrepreneurship training, and work experience.

OUR CORE SERVICES

We are shaping these two relatively new initiatives, we are finding the right young people (where they are), pitching the initiative to them and service providers such as local authorities, leaving care teams and other key stakeholders.

 We ongoingly continue to acknowledge gaps in support provision to young adults, [particularly care leavers] and subsequently create new programmes/ project offers designed by the Youth Advisory Board (YAB). With a mission to be the collective voice of students, members and alumni who are put to the forefront, with the purpose of developing offers led by them.

Job Purpose:

To support Go-Forward Youth in continuing to develop and deliver a Youth offer targeted at care experienced young people or those on the edge of care.

This is a relatively new role for the charity, now looking for maternity leave 12 month fixed term cover. This role is developed from a previous voluntary role of youth leader and most recently Youth Manager (December, 2023).

Our growing core services to date:

· Annual Christmas in Partnership with Arsenal and Islington Borough Council, usually lead at the Arsenal hub,

· HUB ‘Home-Away-From-Home’ or ‘The space’ (piloted 2019, 2020)

· Education and training support provision. Own It Programme, led by GF +

We have created this role to develop our youth service offer and the management of our service offer, while considering what is needed to grow required in house youth delivery team. It is key in this role to identify the institutions and organisations that we have a shared goal and client group (care leavers, young people) and develop partnerships for collaboration and referrals. The home-away-from-home needs to be fulfilling a crucial gap for care experienced young people, in terms of social support, network, education and employment by listening to what members say they need to move forward. This means engaging the right young people, and acknowledging gaps in the youth provision and areas we can build on. We work to create an environment that comforts and supports, which is also about accountability, autonomy, empowerment, and aspiration. We are looking for a professional to be part of the team, an individual with long standing professional experience of youth work, that understands the challenges and vulnerabilities of care experience. The role includes, managing our Home-Away-From-Home; that supports young people on evenings, weekends, when other services are closed. It would have an element of packaging our offer with the support of the team, presenting, pitching to local authorities and funders.

A goal for this role is to sustain and grow the services and the delivery team across the next two years, by evaluating, piloting, and refining existing models and developing ideas and new regular projects. We are looking for individual that can support the charity to sustain existing models and engage members, by having a steady menu of activities, project, and opportunities on offer.  It is expected that the youth manager will be the designated safeguarding officer, managing activities, risks on and offsite. With a focus on targeted youth engagement in the community, via outreach work, schools, virtual schools, leaving care teams, community links and stakeholders (As we have recently moved to Camden there are many more opportunities). Managing the operations of the day to day running of youth services in the Space and offsite. At present there is a small staff team leading the development and running a small number of weekday drop-in services and programme as we grow our offer in (a physical) space. We are looking for leadership and professional experience of being a Youth Manager, identifying gaps in the youth delivery team and managing a growing staff team including a new youth work role.

About the role:

We are looking for a Head of Finance to join us at a very exciting time for the Hospice. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the finance function, supported by an experienced Finance Manager.

With a new Chief Executive and Chair of Trustees in 2024, we are looking at how we can reach our vision of bringing hospice care to more people by 2030. Prior Line Management experience is also required to lead the development and training of our Social Media Manager supported by our CMO.

As the Helping Rhino Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the charity’s fundraising goals through multiple income streams. Who will I be changing the lives of?

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of a pre agreed curriculum for your learners using pre planned sessions for FS Maths & English, Art, Change Workshops & Careers sessions.  Whilst there are teaching resources available it is a requirement of this role that you will tailor the curriculum to the interests and aspirations of the learner that you are working with in order to increase participation and engagement.
• To develop high quality teaching materials and schemes of learning that keep students engaged using creativity, differentiation and extension tasks
• To meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and in collaboration with the SEND Lead  to prepare, implement, monitor and review Individual Educational Packages and EHCP targets.
• To provide a high-quality student experience that enables students to succeed beyond their expectations
• Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the college
• Working with students from Pre-Entry to Level 2
• Responsible for comprehensive marking and written and verbal feedback for learners
• Working in conjunction with the Outstanding and Good criteria for OFSTED
• To participate in weekly group engagement activities such as bowling, nature walks, climbing, graffiti workshops etc to ensure you build a strong rapport with all students.

We are looking for a Centre Coordinator to join our team in our Belfast Centre. In this role, you will provide a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff, and visitors over the phone and in person, so if you are approachable, passionate, and non-judgemental, this could be your role.

You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Belfast Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Belfast Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.

Our Volunteer Coordinators are responsible for coordinating volunteer recruitments, providing volunteer management advice and guidance to staff who work with volunteers, and establishing positive relationships with volunteers to ensure they have a fulfilling volunteer experience at Battersea. This role will work directly with kennel volunteers at Battersea London. 

This role also has the opportunity to work on projects to improve our volunteer programme at Battersea.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Communication Support Service based in the Hampshire area, specifically South West Hampshire (New Forest area). This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide communication support following a stroke.

This is a remote working role offering flexible working.

Position: S11203 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Hampshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £17,546 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by helping people to develop strategies, rebuild confidence and increase independence with their communication. This may be on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting.

The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Take a person-centred approach to goal setting and support to enable stroke survivors and their carers to improve communication

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.

· Setting up and running groups.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role

We are looking for a Centre Coordinator to join our team in our Glasgow Centre. In this role, you will provide a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff, and visitors over the phone and in person, so if you are approachable, passionate, and non-judgemental, this could be your role.

You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Glasgow Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Glasgow Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.
