We Are Survivors are currently looking for an individual that has the passion, drive and determination to help us deliver our OUT Spoken Talking Therapy Services in our Greater Manchester and Merseyside estates (on a part-time basis) – As we continue to provide services in prisons across the Northwest.

For nearly 16 years, We Are Survivors has provided survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male (including Trans and Non-binary) victims/survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a ‘trauma and recovery’ framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.

We are currently commissioned to deliver trauma-informed therapy services in 15 prisons across the Northwest of England and are looking for motivated and skilled practitioners to work in a fascinating, vital, and sometimes challenging environment.

Believe you are right for this role?

You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.

In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £27,810; 25 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days) plus bank holidays; birthday leave; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; a range of training opportunities; and access to different benefit schemes.

• Minuting Branch meetings then typing up minutes and sharing with Chair for approval (please note all meetings are currently held via Zoom)

• Preparation for Annual General meeting
• Preparation of newsletter content

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Community Organising team to work across the Local Activism team to support Activism Representatives, Local Groups, and Regional Networks across the UK.

Local groups are a vital part of Amnesty International UK's movement. Made up of dedicated members and individuals, they volunteer to promote Amnesty's work in their local areas. The Local Groups Administrator is accountable for:

• Monitoring & Evaluating local group and network campaign activities, analysing impact, and reporting progress, including through yearly surveys.

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and efficient Events Coordinator to support the delivery of a world-class and sector-leading portfolio of annual events to support LSHTM’s Strategy to both internal and external audiences.  Events are diverse and include graduation ceremonies for students, conferences and lectures for academics, policymakers and funders, as well as internal community social events. Working within the Communications & Engagement department, the events team provide best practice guidance to others across LSHTM arranging events through a toolkit.

Who we’re looking for

You should have proven experience in event and project management with confidence to use platforms such as Zoom for in-person, virtual and hybrid events and online registration software such as Eventbrite.  You must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to support colleagues through the development and maintenance of an event toolkit resource showcasing best practice and where necessary in line with the evolution of organisational needs.

Your work will include collaboration within our dynamic and agile Policy, Campaigns and Youth team, as well as across the organisation and the wider International Plan Federation.

You’ll be a strategic and political thinker, bringing experience of leading or delivering successful policy and advocacy strategies, with an understanding of the UK Government and their policy processes, as well as on the tactics and approaches required to influence them. With strong project coordination skills, you’ll be a champion for partnership with young people, and feel confident to build on your expertise in managing key relationships, including within senior government. Your well-developed research and analysis skills means you are equipped to produce evidence-based and influential policy positions, alongside communications to a wide range of audiences.

We are recruiting for a Business Development Officer to join the team to help us identify and secure new customers across our online learning, trainer-led courses and consultancy service as well as support the work of the wider Business Development team. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Solicitor specialising in education law to work within the CCLC team within a pro-bono project, The School Exclusions Clinic. The project entails lawyers from corporate law firms volunteering for CCLC to support children and families through the school exclusion process. In this role you will manage and supervise the provision of legal advice, assistance and representation provided by corporate volunteers. You will also manage your own case work relating to special educational needs and disabilities and discrimination law. DOTW UK has a small, high-performing and dynamic services team dedicated to delivering high quality, person-centred healthcare in a fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional personal and team performance.

We are looking for an Outreach Senior Caseworker with experience of delivering effective advocacy on behalf of people from marginalised communities. This role will  play a key role in the delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London. The outreach service will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners.

As part of DOTWs Services team, you will support the service by proactively promoting DOTW’s service at individual accommodation sites, providing social assessments for residents and their dependents, escalating health issues of any immediate concern, and support responses to urgent health and/or safeguarding concerns. As part of a culture of best practice, you will ensure adherence to DotW policies and will provide support resolving complex cases, deploying your demonstrative experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care and/or advice and support to people seeking asylum or from other excluded communities.

You will lead by example, demonstrating effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills, The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to work productively and constructively within a close-knit team by demonstrating an open and responsive attitude and using your excellent communication skills.

You will have strong IT skills and ideally a driving licence to be able to support us to deliver our services in our dedicated mobile clinic vans. You will have the skills to work independently and manage your own and volunteers' health and safety, sometimes working alone.

You will be supported by an experienced team, regular line management, and clinical supervision. Skills in Basic Life Support, First Aid, safeguarding, mental health management, and trauma-informed approaches will be provided.
