Childhood Cancer International (CCI) is a global association made up of parent, survivor and civil organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer, along with their families. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Fundraiser to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in securing international grants and funding to support our programmes and initiatives around the world. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in successfully obtaining international grants and securing funding from diverse sources.
Base: International Scope, Home-based (with preference to individual based in upper-middle or high income country), with occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and Identify Funding Opportunities

Conduct thorough research to identify international grant opportunities, funding agencies/foundations/institutions and other potential donors.

Monitor international grant databases, donor directories, and relevant funding portals to stay updated on available funding opportunities.

Evaluate eligibility criteria, guidelines and application requirements of potential grants and funding sources
2. Grant Proposal Development
- With the ED and the CCI Board (and in collaboration with the global Programme Manager) to develop targeted and compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.

Prepare high-quality proposals/grant applications, including budgets, project narratives, monitoring framework for impact assessments, and any additional documentation required.

Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements and expectations of each funding opportunity.
3. Relationship Building and Networking
- Cultivate relationships with international funding agencies, philanthropic organisations, corporate partners, and other potential global donors to expand CCI's network and funding base.

With the ED, identify and create new relationships with high net-worth individuals to expand CCI's funding base.

Utilize networks, platforms and other avenues to enhance the CCI brand and increase our network and relationships towards attracting potential donors.

Assist the ED in developing an effective fundraising strategy aligned with CCI's strategic plan.

If and when required, attend conferences, workshops, and fundraising events to build connections, to identify and develop funding opportunities.

With ED, maintain regular communication with existing donors, keeping them informed about CCI's progress and impact.
4. Grant Management and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including tracking deliverables, reporting deadlines, and financial requirements.

Work closely with ED and CCI members to provide accurate and timely progress reports to donors.

With the ED, maintain records of grants, funding applications, and donor interactions.
5. Marketing
- With the ED, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication techniques and assist in make necessary adjustments.

Reach a greater number of supporters and donors through innovative marketing strategies; including, with the ED, the creation of new and innovative fundraising campaigns, or the linking of current events and campaigns to fundraising outcomes.

Collaborate with the ED and the Communications Manager on the development of communications and marketing materials.
6. General Fundraising Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with current trends, strategies, and best practices in international fundraising and grant writing.

Participate in professional development opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance fundraising skills and knowledge, as well as knowledge and understanding of the childhood cancer sector.

Any other fundraising activity as requested by the ED.
Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development, marketing or communications).

A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors.

Research and analytical skills.
-
Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling grant proposals.
-
Experience in developing budgets for grant applications.
-
Ability to work independently, under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Remuneration and working conditions:

Remuneration package of €55 000 (Euros) per annum, excluding incentive bonuses

This position may require occasional travel to attend conferences, meetings, and fundraising events (costs of which will be covered by the organisation).

Derwent Square is a mental health project, that offers supported housing to 5 Residents. Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll be motivated by helping to foster a data-driven culture and will thrive in a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning. You'll demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn and upskill.
You also hold a relevant degree or equivalent work experience in data science, statistics, computer science, or a similar intensively quantitative field.
You'll have extensive experience of working with large datasets, undertaking complex predictive and regressive analysis, and deploying machine learning models. You'll also possess profound and advanced knowledge of statistical and inferential methods and experience using statistical packages for analysing data.
Whilst knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques is desirable, it's not essential for applying to this role.

Future Advocacy is seeking a Senior Consultant in Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Research. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Crisis Skylight Brent offer direct services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Alongside our frontline service offer, we develop and lead strategy and partnership projects to deliver positive change for homeless people in Brent.

About the role
As one of the Lead Worker you will play a role in supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing assessment, coaching advice and advocacy, whilst linking individuals into services that provide support. This role will also provide support to the facilitation of the Winter Night Shelter 2025, including ensuring that service users accessing the night shelter have an opportunity to resolve their homelessness sustainably.
The key to success will be your ability to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with services, colleagues, and partner organisations. You will have the ability to empower and upskill service users to be proactive in their accommodation search. You will provide support with practical aspects of their route out of homeless, including access to housing, benefits, and other relevant needs. You will Lead Work a caseload and provide effective case management in line with the Crisis Case Management Framework.
Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:

Comprehensive understanding and experience of accessing housing via private rented sector, local authorities, housing associations, supported providers and others.

Good knowledge of issues affecting homeless people, including housing, welfare issues, trauma, substance use, involvement in criminal justice services, and social isolation

Proven track record of successfully using coaching, IAG or psychologically informed approaches with people who have experience homelessness.

About you

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Supporter Relationship Management
- To provide the best possible experience for our supporters, at all points of contact, including email, phone and postal channels.
- To keep informed and up to date about all relevant activities of Practical Action in the countries of operation, retaining and managing information needed to respond to supporters.
- To make outbound telephone calls and emails as required to new supporters, follow up queries, verify details or thank donors, acting as an ambassador for Supporter Services and Practical Action at all times.
Income Processing / Database Management
- To deal with incoming and outgoing post, all donations made online via the Practical Action website and other charitable giving platforms, ensuring all donations are handled accurately and in line with agreed procedures.
- To process cash donations effectively and accurately onto our database.
- To produce and send out letters of acknowledgement to supporters, personalising these communications appropriately.
- To set up Direct Debits/Standing Orders, handle upgrades and other changes to committed gifts, issuing appropriate communications to supporters.
- To accurately process and commit Direct Debit claims.
- To manage Gift Aid on supporter records. This will include setting up new declarations, ending and cancelling declarations and sending out notifications to supporters.
- To deal with new supporters’ welcome communications.
- To liaise with supporters regarding cancellation of donations.
- To update supporter information on the database such as personal details, communication preferences, and other indications of interest or activities to ensure that all our donor information is up to date.
- To undertake manual data entry where required, and to work to avoid the need for duplication of data entry, and ensure automation where possible.
- To pull information required, download and process third party donations ensuring that they are compliant with GDPR.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This will be based within community venues and working alongside our REP Case Managers to deliver an employability themed curriculum on a face-to-face basis.
