About the Service: The Enfield SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Enfield. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for an IDSVA within the Domestic Abuse team to be collocated within Enfield’s Sexual Health Clinic.

About the Role: You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence.

About You: The ideal candidate will have completed ISVA training and have experience supporting women affected by sexual violence. You will have a clear understanding of the effects of and issues facing women affected by sexual violence, as well as an understanding of the Criminal Justice System. You will be able to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds and create a good working relationship with service users as well as partner agencies.

We are looking to appoint a Kentown Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of the pilot Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme, in collaboration with Kentown Wizard and Together for Short Lives.

Reporting to the Kentown Project Lead out of our Lancaster team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

We have a rare opening to join our nutrition team as our new Senior Dietitian, on a fixed term contract. 

In this non-clinical role you’ll use your skills and knowledge in the development of our award-winning resources. This includes the well-known heart matters magazine and printed resources, which are used by patients and health professionals.

You'll act as our expert resource of food, nutrition and dietetic knowledge, you'll help to maintain the reputation of BHF by ensuring the accuracy of all food and nutrition information within BHF information and resources. This will be achieved by taking a proactive approach to working with project teams across the organisation on the development and delivery of both mission and fundraising campaigns, projects and resources.

In addition to this, you’ll be a sought-after spokesperson for the BHF. You will receive excellent media training before joining  the clinical team press rota. You will then work with our media team to respond to press stories as well as help to publicise BHF campaigns.

The Triage Worker sits within the Triage Team in the pilot area, working alongside the Triage IDVA. The Triage Worker will focus on all aspects of the case relating to the Perpetrator in cases where the perpetrator has been referred to the team for an assessment of suitability for a Positive Requirement during an application for a DAPO.

Our advocacy project Refugee Tales calls for a future without detention, and works with people who have experienced detention to call for change. 

We require blended working from home and from our office in Crawley. This is a one-year fixed term contract with the likelihood of extension. The role requires someone who can demonstrate a high level of written and organisational skills including meticulous record-keeping in a fast-paced work environment. Fundraising experience with trusts and foundations is preferred.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

3. In-depth knowledge of global data protection laws and practices, including GDPR, and an understanding of the legal and regulatory environments in the countries where INGO operates.
4. Strong understanding of information technology and data management practices, with the ability to work effectively with ICT professionals to implement technical data protection measures.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a diverse audience and influence behaviour at all levels of the organisation.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, ADFAM and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire. We are looking for a Complex Needs Practitioner (Family Practitioner) to join our team in High Wycombe.

The purpose of the role is to engage people who are affected by someone’s substance use in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

All Complex Needs Practitioners (Family Practitioners) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups.  Complex Need Practitioners (Family Practitioner) will work with support, training and recognised best practice family interventions, in collaboration with our partners ADFAM.   

A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical & emotional wellbeing, knowledge and understanding of drugs / alcohol / treatment, relationship with substance user, relationships with family and friends, meaningful activity, self-care and goal setting.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have experience in Family/Carer work or a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in family support or the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

The Role

Reporting to the Engagement Lead for the SouthWest and Channel Islands, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire to deliver against engagement activity.

· Leading the involvement of people affected by stroke to prioritise our work and improve the experience of people affected by stroke

About the Role

The Head of Service post holder will take the lead responsibility (under Ofsted registration) as the Adoption Manager of CoramIAC. They will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from.

Applying to adopt in the UK is open to anyone already in the process with CoramIAC but we do not actively recruit domestic adopters like other VAAs. Approved Intercountry Adopters may however request to change their approval advice to the UK if they are considered a suitable match for children available and waiting for permanence through Adoption in the UK.

CoramIAC predominantly serve prospective adopters from the global majority and as such recruit and train a highly diverse and skilled group of adopters to enable the best outcomes for children whilst also offering adopter and sector diversity for potentially harder to place children. This includes family groups and older children. Our offer to RAAs via our domestic program therefore delivers families for children who often wait the longest in the care system.

Responsibilities

Strategic development and implementation

• Develop and oversee an effective PR communications strategy, including business/trade press and public affairs (EU and UN advocacy), based on ProVeg’s strategic principles, impact areas and global interventions.

• Create relations with key media outlets to increase visibility and dissemination opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

• An excellent understanding of the plant-based and alternative protein sector and knowledge of food systems change.

• A successful track record (5+ years) in journalism (print or broadcast), marketing, or public affairs, developing and delivering strategic objectives across a range of communications channels.

• Strong track record in PR (including broadcast), marketing and/or organisational branding.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English to native level (or C1).

• Excellent networking skills and experience in building productive relationships with key media stakeholders and influencers.

• Strong project management skills.

• Ability to juggle a varied workload, delegate effectively and contribute as a team player.
