The role leads the delivery of our social media strategy and supports our Creative Content Lead to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy. Drinkaware is the UK’s leading alcohol charity with a vision of ‘Working together to reduce alcohol harm across the UK’. We use our expertise to give government, industry, communities and individuals the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about alcohol and how to reduce the harm it can cause. We deliver public-facing campaigns and digital services, information and guidance, evidence-led advice to governments and industry, and independent research, consumer insight and evaluation.
About the role
The role leads the delivery of our social media strategy and supports our Creative Content Lead to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy. The role is key in ensuring that the public can make conscious, informed choices about alcohol and can find help if they need it. The key focus of this role will be developing and growing our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn). It will suit a creative, thoughtful digital producer who is able to successfully adapt difficult and nuanced messages for our key audience groups. Outside of social media, this role will be responsible for producing new multimedia content for other channels and making sure that existing digital content is up to date, accurate and engaging, to promote our brand and information through social and digital channels and to protect us from repetitional damage.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Social Media
- Manage, develop and grow Drinkaware’s social media channels, including community management and maximising engagement across channels
- Plan, develop and schedule social media content in line with our content planning cycle
- Proactively develop new content ideas that amplify activity happening across the company and tap into relevant conversations (e.g. Alcohol Awareness Week).
- Monitor social channels for reactive engagement opportunities and to flag any reputational risks emerging on socials
- Work with Creative Content Lead to develop the Drinkaware social media strategy and plan, including KPIs, ensuring it meets our content strategy objectives
- Proactively stay ahead of social media trends and ensure our channels are affectively developed and maintained
- Develop and manage a small group of influencers to support the work of Drinkaware
- Build relationships with specific audiences through community management across channels, which includes finding advocates/case studies for Drinkaware
Content creation
- Create content for our social media channels
- Confident planning in video content into social plans to garner maximum engagement
- Experienced in filming content and editing into engaging and informative content which conveys the key message in an accessible way
- Familiar with different files and formats/dimensions across social channels
- Commission and manage agencies to produce digital content as required, including animations, photography and video
Contribute
- Work closely with the Creative Content Lead to support the creation of website content and email marketing, ensuring this feeds directly into the overarching content strategy.

Role Description
The Programme Manager is a highly-efficient, well-organised, and internationally-respected member of the nuclear policy community.They are expected to be able to take primary ownership of project delivery management as well as lead the development of multiple new projects, including developing ideas leading to successful fundraising.They will have strong knowledge of several methodologies which could be used for new projects and will have a track record of winning funding, as well as some knowledge of funding relationships.
The Programme Manager will have specialisation in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Regime and will need to have a good general knowledge of global security and conflict resolution, and a demonstrable ability to design and carry out project management and research to a high standard. They are expected to be an internationally recognised researcher with a strong area of specialisation related to nuclear weapons issues, specifically in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty regime.
The Programme Manager will implement the Non-Proliferation Treaty Monitor (NPT Monitor), a platform that provides independent analysis and information on the effectiveness and implementation of the Treaty by the NPT-recognised nuclear-weapon States. The key objective for the Programme Manager will be to develop this project to a level where the NPT Monitor becomes a permanent and essential fixture of the NPT regime, providing significant analysis on treaty implementation for States Parties (especially smaller delegations), NGOs, and academia.
The Programme Manager will demonstrate exceptional leadership and vision within the nuclear policy community. They will have a robust track record of policy-relevant publications. A strong network in their area of specialisation is essential, and they are expected to maintain and expand it to benefit BASIC. The Programme Manager will also be responsible for line managing team members across multiple projects, demonstrating exceptional leadership and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
For the Senior Policy Fellow title, we expect a well-developed professional network, particularly in fundraising relationships; we expect the ability to manage large scale, complex projects with budgets exceeding £400,000/year; and we expect an independently developed vision for the growth and further development of the programme including a fundraising strategy to match this ambition. This role also demands a formal project or programme management qualification, although we are open to discussing the provision of training if this has not already been achieved.

In addition to overseeing policy and research output, you would be responsible for leading a democratic and governance structure that is so innovative it is currently the source of an international academic study. Accountabilities here would include delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels.

About The Roots Foundation Wales
We are an award-winning charity supporting children and young people in care, those transitioning to independent living and care leavers. We also support foster and kinship carers.
In 2017 we featured on a BBC1 DIY SOS & Children in Need special and as a result we have a beautiful centre with 3 semi-independent living flats attached. Our Transition to Independent Living programme is bespoke and holistic in its approach and aims to teach young people on the cusp of leaving care (16-19 years old) independent living skills to aid a smooth and positive transition into adulthood.
We have a team of youth workers, night staff and volunteers who run groups, activities and clubs throughout term time and school holidays for young people aged 4-25. We hold coffee mornings for carers, a playgroup for young parents and activity groups ranging from crafts club to cookery, youth club and movie nights.
As a result of increased funding and an enthusiastic Board of Trustees we are keen to grow our team so that we can offer more opportunities to even more young people and carers.

Finance Lead (Management Accountant)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Head of Finance
Hours of work: Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £41,350 per annum (including London Weighting)
Place of work: Flexible working but with 3 days a week in our London office and occasional travel to our Finance Office in Silsden in West Yorkshire. You will need to travel to L’Arche Communities you are responsible for from time to time.

Main purpose of the role:
Be one of four Finance Leads sharing responsibility to produce Community Management Accounts. Other duties include line managing one or two Bookkeepers, ensuring that Management Accounts results are discussed with Community Leaders/ Directors, leading on the Budget process for assigned Communities, and leading on the Housing Benefit/ Rent Increase process for assigned Communities.
Essential Criteria

- Relevant experience across a range of financial management and budgeting disciplines;
- Effective leadership and people management skills;
- High level of competence in ID systems;
