What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support Individual Giving and Events and Community Fundraising. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of mass fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of Mass Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (Mass).

You’ll have proven expertise in communications business partnering, with experience in mass or public fundraising. Working within our Strategic Communication team, you’ll have a strong understanding of campaign planning tools like OASIS and a solid grasp of PR, social media, and integrated marketing strategies. You’ll be an exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences in particular mass fundraising engagement.

As natural collaborator, you’ll have skills in influencing, coaching and motivating teams to achieve ambitious results within project management.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

In this exciting role, you will take the lead on delivering our Individual Giving and Legacy strategies — bringing fundraising campaigns to life through engaging appeals, supporter newsletters, and donor journeys that inspire action. You’ll develop and grow our young legacy programme, nurturing meaningful relationships with pledgers and prospects. Championing exceptional supporter care will be at the heart of everything you do, making sure every donor feels truly valued. You’ll work strategically, staying ahead of sector trends and ensuring we’re always following best practice, while also diving into the data — managing budgets, reporting performance through Salesforce, and using insights to drive smarter, more impactful fundraising. As part of the Fundraising Managers Team, you’ll collaborate across the charity and play an active role in shaping the future of our work.

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to join our dynamic Philanthropy and Events team within our Supporter Income & Engagement directorate. The successful candidate will support the continued growth and development of the highly successful 2030 Circle - a giving club bringing together likeminded supporters around a shared goal: to help halt the loss of the natural world by 2030.

This is an exciting time to join the team at a really pivotal moment – five years since the Club was launched and with five years left to halt and reverse nature loss.  

You will work with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to maintain and build long term, effective relationships with a range of philanthropic donors, including individuals, families, trusts, foundations and SMEs.

You will share our passion for protecting the future of our planet for people and nature and be skilled at inspiring supporters both in person and in writing. You will have responsibility for day-to-day communications with our highly engaged members and contribute to all aspects of our curated donor journey, from impact reporting to supporting a varied engagement and stewardship calendar of high-level events and field trips. You will also proactively drive growth in the giving club membership through effective data management, warm approaches, peer introductions and lead generation activity. You will work collaboratively with fundraisers and different teams across the organisation to ensure we maximise opportunities to enhance the experience and build support from 2030 Circle members.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience of managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and individuals

• Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals.

• A track record of delivering against income targets.

• Demonstrable experience in identifying and tracking new funding opportunities.

• Experience of using fundraising databases/CRM systems.

• A good understanding of the philanthropic sector and of major giving clubs.

• Excellent communication, relationship building & interpersonal skills.

• Desire to embrace and encourage collaborative working.

About the Role

As the new Finance Manager you will oversee the charity’s finance processes, leading all of the day-to-day financial operations, producing regular financial reporting for the senior management team and board. You’ll work closely with the Co-Director: Strategic Development to monitor financial performance against targets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing finance operations including bookkeeping and monthly reporting
• Producing financial reports for the senior team and board

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls.

In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who experienced domestic abuse and are staying living in our refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.
