Working with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support, the Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes.

About the Project

Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.

About the Role:

The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Watford General Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Watford A&E, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.

The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patient’s homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to encourage patients to develop their independence within their local community.
• Facilitate a smooth discharge from hospital back to the community.
• Have a solid understanding on the dual effect of mental health and drugs and alcohol.
• Monitor outcomes and evaluate the service.
• Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of patients using the service is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• Embed a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.

About the role

We are seeking a professional, caring and sensitive Behaviour Analyst or Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our committed Therapy Team. Following the therapeutic model of positive behaviour, you will work as an autonomous practitioner to support our children, learners and residents with epilepsy and complex learning difficulties across St Elizabeth’s.

This rewarding role will see you be responsible for the formulation of individual behaviour support plans, ensuring your caseload is effectively managed at all times. You will liaise closely with families and other professionals involved in the persons care and support, therefore excellent communication skills are a must. You will work closely with the wider MDT, to ensure a holistic and high quality approach is adopted.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification but also experience of working with young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities and who have complex diagnosis.

You will have a motivational approach and able to influence your fellow colleagues in working with young people who present behaviour that is challenging. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of best practice in positive behaviour support, de-escalation, crisis management and physical interventions, with the ability to plan and work through complex issues.

Membership of the Committee: The Edinburgh Trust Committee ensures Edinburgh voices are represented and provides scrutiny and assurance to the Turn2us Board. Opportunity: We are now looking to appoint two more independent members to join us during this exciting time of change. We would like these members to be Experts by Experience - individuals who have lived experience of financial insecurity.

Term: This is an 18-month pilot, with the possibility of reappointment for an additional term, for up to three years. The committee position is unpaid, but expenses are covered. Participation in Lived Experience in Governance Advisory Panel meetings is paid at Turn2us co-production rate of £84/day.

Time commitment: 3 x 3 hours committee meetings per year. 3 x Lived Experience in Governance Advisory Panel meetings. With preparation time, including for example pre-reading of materials and post-meeting follow up actions, this commitment should not exceed 6 days per year.

About the role:
As the CYP Caseworker, you will provide advocacy and support to children and young people affected by the impact of crime. This casework will often also involve supporting parents or guardians.
You will work with children and young people who have experienced or witnessed crime and you will be the single point of contact for them.
You will work with other agencies to provide a service that supports the individual through the criminal justice system, or works with them whether they decide to report the crime or not.
As a Caseworker, you will;

receive incoming referrals from a range of sources including the police, other agencies and individuals themselves
assess needs and risks, and agree action plans
work on our case management system to update case notes, manage and record information
give up to date and consistent information about the criminal justice system process
liaise with other agencies where required to provide advocacy for the service user, work in a multi-agency set up, give and receive information with consent
support the child or young person and their wider family
work with criminal justice system agencies to ensure a trauma informed and victim friendly response
promote the service at events and meetings where directed or required
work with the wider ABC team
ensure that you are aware of and up to date with safeguarding and data policy and processes and able to identify where there are risks

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people in a trauma informed way and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

Whilst the role is homebased, we offer an outreach and face to face service with the Caseworker being required to travel within Humberside to respond to victim need and service requirements. For this reason, you need to live within Humberside, or a reasonable distance of Humberside, to allow you to fulfil the needs of our service and victims.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

Responsible for a portfolio of 32 corporate partners, currently contributing c. 40% of Transaid’s fundraising income, you will lead on maintaining and developing these critical relationships whilst creating and implementing new engagement opportunities.

January 2024 marked the beginning of a new organisational strategy for Transaid, with strategic partnerships (with companies both in the UK and globally) a significant part of the agenda. As well as looking to strengthen existing relationships, business development is a core part of this role. Working alongside the Head of Fundraising, you will be confident in scoping, pitching and winning new partnerships.

Role summary

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our small leadership team helping to strategically drive engagement, and income generation.The right candidate will need to be highly resilient with exceptional political, negotiation and relationship development skills.This role includes shared responsibility for securing income that not only sustains our own charity but leverages in significant funding for the wider sector.

Our client Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA) is a housing association with charitable aims that create positive change in people’s lives. As well as homes and support, PBHA empowers people to learn, access work and discover their creative talents. Based in Hackney, Islington and Newham, PBHA work with people who are homeless, have mental ill health, learning difficulties and multiple needs. PBHA’s work enables people to move on and lead independent lives.

The role:

The postholder will work in partnership with the support service provider to deliver a quality housing management service to 11 tenants with learning disabilities. Post holders will work from a purpose new build service in Islington. The postholder will have access to PBHA local offices where appropriate. The post holder will be issued the IT equipment necessary to facilitate mobile working.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• To be responsible for working a caseload of tenants at this service.

• Identifying individual tenancy needs through assessment and an identified Housing Plan detailing risks, needs and move on plans.

• Provide a weekly housing management drop in.

• Ensure that tenants apply for benefits where eligible, and signpost tenants to information on how to maximise income.

• Record and monitor any breaches of tenancy agreement and work proactively and within procedures to resolve them.

• Liaise with support officers, the Income officer, and the finance department to provide effective prevention and management of rent issues.

• Liaise with colleagues to ensure void targets are met and properties are let within agreed timescale.

• Assist in the moving in/out process.

• Deal with complaints, nuisance and tenancy disputes as they arise. Work with tenants to promote self-help and mediation approaches to dispute resolution and address and escalate in line with procedure.

• Carry out regular building inspections, reporting repairs.

• Enforce the conditions of tenancy that enable PBHA to undertake urgent works such as electrical testing.

• Carry out H&S and fire checks and assessment, liaising closely with others to ensure that follow up actions are completed.

• Report safeguarding concerns as appropriate.

Customer Focused Services:

• Promote and support tenants to access participation and co-production opportunities.

We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and a keen eye for detail to join our Learning Design team as Graphic Designer for a 12-month FTC, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team.
 
You'll be responsible for for creating visuals and infographics for use across a range of different formats, including both digital and print. You'll use your understanding of graphic design principles and your technical design skills to help participants on our programmes both navigate our materials and make sense of complex information.

• Create graphics for use in our learning materials, both print and digital 
• Refine and, in some instances, establish visual style guides for each resource to ensure that all materials are aligned with our Ambition Institute’s brand style, accessible to all and replicable at scale. 
• Use your knowledge of core graphic design principles to inform your work and  support colleagues in learning design to use graphics effectively (relating to principles such as: typography, layout. colour and illustration)
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Learning Design team and across the organisation to translate ideas, information and concepts into strong visuals. 
• Writing briefs for external graphic designers, which accurately describe the work, provide clear style guidance and specifications and set clear timelines for completion of the work.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Graphic Design, e.g. degree, diploma or apprenticeship. You'll demonstrate an ability to work in a flexible manner and have experience of working in both digital and media print. 

It is essential that you are able to work efficiently in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. You'll also demonstrate an ability to work with content designers to help them turn their knowledge of information or a concept into a visual image.  

Whilst an ability to create clear and accurate briefs for external Graphic Designers and knowledge of accessibility standards are desirable, it is not essential that you have prior experience to apply for this role. We will provide training and development where there are gaps.

• Professional teaching qualification and current Registration with DFE (desirable but not essential)

We have an amazing opportunity for a Black & Minoritised Ethnic Communities Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (BMEC IDVA) to join our new team in the London Victim & Witness Service who will provide tailored specialist support to domestic abuse victim/survivors from Black and Minoritised Ethnic Communities, working 37.5 hours a week.

About the role:

This role offers flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients across London as required. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor- BMEC you will:

• Provide a proactive, high quality & trauma-informed support service to survivors of domestic violence and abuse, with a particular focus on black and minoritised ethnic communities
• Carry out risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy & prevention & recovery work
• Work with relevant service providers to create effective referral pathways
• Manage a caseload, including those assessed at high risk of harm
• Use a person-centred, survivor-focused approach, being mindful of the effects of trauma & additional barriers to access that survivors from black and minoritised ethnic communities may experience

You will need:

• A passion for working with victim/survivors & an understanding of domestic abuse & its impact
• Knowledge of the issues those from Black & minoritised communities face
• A non-judgemental, non-directive and anti-discriminatory approach to empowering victims/survivors
• The ability to speak another language, particularly- Polish, Ukrainian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Tamil, Turkish, Kurdish, Russian , Somali, Yoruba, Akan, French, Lingala, Igbo, Gujarati, Arabic, Sylheti/Bengali, Hindi, Urdu or Spanish is desirable
