Principal Duties and Responsibilities of Post-Holder:

1. Assist in the preparing and assembling food items according to the café’s menu. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace and using proper food handling tools.
2. Follow food safety & hygiene standards during the preparation, storage, and handling of food.
3. Provide excellent service to customers, including taking orders offering menu recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. 
4. Assist in setting up catering events, including arranging food displays, ensuring proper portion sizes, and ensuring the presentation is appealing. Ensure all arrangements comply with food hygiene best practices and relevant regulations.
5. Transport cooked food safely to various premises around campus, ensuring it is stored and delivered in compliance with the food safety regulations, including maintaining appropriate temperatures and preventing contamination during transit.
6. Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and help replenish stock as needed. Ensure all food and ingredients are stored properly and in accordance with food and regulations.
7. Carry out food temperature control monitoring, including checking, recording, and maintaining appropriate temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and transportation. 
8. Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, including cleaning kitchen equipment, tables, serving areas, and restocking supplies.
9. Work collaboratively with management team and student staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
10. Assist with cash register duties, including taking payments and providing change as necessary.
11. Follow all food safety guidelines, sanitation procedures, and health safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and customer.
12. Manage inventory and place food and beverage orders in alignment with operational needs. 

We are recruiting a Therapeutic Practitioner to deliver For Baby’s Sake in the North East of England. The post will be home-based with some elements of hybrid working. Applicants must be based in the North East of England and be able to travel across the region to deliver a hybrid of online and face-to-face sessions.

For Baby’s Sake is an innovative, therapeutic, trauma-informed programme. We work with both co-parents individually, supporting a recovery framework to overcome the devastating effects of domestic abuse in their relationship. We acknowledge and explore unresolved and often complex childhood trauma and change harmful patterns of behaviour to develop a home environment where children can flourish. We adopt an attachment-focused parenting approach that enhances the opportunity for children to feel safe and secure, with parents who are emotionally available and attuned to all their needs.

There must be a current pregnancy to harness change motivations, a desire on behalf of both parents to coparent their unborn baby (although they do not have to be in a relationship), and we can work with the families up until the baby reaches the age of 2. The significance of this two-year timescale is evidenced in all recent child development research.

Trauma-informed practice is an approach adopted by For Baby’s Sake, which is grounded in the understanding that trauma exposure can impact an individual’s neurological, biological, psychological, and social development. You will have the opportunity to support the continued evolution of For Baby’s Sake whilst ensuring fidelity to the programme and sustaining the ethos and values of the For Baby’s Sake Trust. 

The For Baby’s Sake multi-disciplinary team consists of highly trained therapeutic practitioners capable of establishing and maintaining meaningful, trusting relationships that consistently guarantee engagement and, crucially, provide the framework for deeper, therapeutic exploration that allows co-parents to understand the impact of their own parenting experiences. To be part of this exceptional team, you must have demonstrable therapeutic skills, sound knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and adults, infant mental health, and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse, attachment, and the impact of unresolved trauma.

This is a full-time position on a permanent contract (37.5 hours per week). There will be an expectation of occasional travel to locations across the UK.

We are seeking  a Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services. 

Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients.  You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

As Major Giving Officer, you will:

• Collaborate with the Global Specialist in Major Giving (based in the UK) on the delivery and implementation of an ambitious major-giving programme for HI UK, encompassing trusts & foundations, major donors and corporates, in line with UK and Federation priorities.
• Research and identify opportunities, write proposals and secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major givers from the these income streams.
• Provide excellent cultivation of prospects to produce committed, long-term donors.
• Manage existing partnerships and donors to a high standard.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General

• Work closely with the Global Specialist in Major Giving and the other Major Giving Officer to further develop major giving as a sustainable income stream in the UK, including launching and running a Capital Campaign.
• Manage data relevant to your role, keeping our database (CRM) up to date and accurate, and mining it for new prospects.
• Build your knowledge of the wide range of our work – both thematically and geographically – so you can communicate and present with expertise to donors and prospects.
• Attend relevant networking groups, external events and meetings to make contacts and represent HI UK.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of high-quality cultivation events for prospects and donors.
• Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required.

Trusts, foundations and high net-worth individuals

• Update existing research and carry out new research to find our top trust, foundation and high net-worth individual prospects, prioritising six-figure and multi-year donors.
• Connect directly with targeted prospects through networks, introductions and events.
• Build relationships with prospects through personalised communications: face to face, on the phone and written.
• Deliver excellent relationship-management to existing partners and donors to ensure loyalty and year-on-year renewal.
• Produce high-quality and engaging proposals and presentations for meetings with prospects and donors. 
• Write and submit approximately two high-quality proposals per month for five- or six-figure sums (multi-year donations preferable) from targeted trusts and foundations.
• Source information about each project’s impact and write and submit regular reports according to the agreement with each partner organisation or individual.
• Ethically screen our prospects, in line with our ethical standards and processes.
• Liaise with the Federal fundraising team in Lyon for project content.

Other duties

• Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.
• Keep up to date and adhere to any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to private fundraising.
• Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

The Britain Palestine Project (BPP) is seeking a highly organised, motivated, and values-driven individual to join our small, dynamic team as a Fundraising and Administrative Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting BPP’s fundraising and operational systems. Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. Hours can vary between 21:00 - 09:00 and 11:00 - 20:00

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

As a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents, you will work to ensure safety and wellbeing of our residents. You will support mainly the night shifts to ensure the service runs smoothly at night, being a point of contact for residents, engaging with them to ensure their safety comes first, and running various evening activities for engagement. You will build trusting and professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through one to one sessions, group sessions, and general wellbeing check ins. During quieter hours, you will be responsible for ensuring administration is up to date, the service is kept clean and tidy, and will support with additional ad hoc tasks. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:

So, you could have a proven track record of fundraising and providing accurate forecasting to CEO and Trustees with a good knowledge of, and existing relationships with foundations and grant-giving organisations, or, you might be a strong administrator, ideally with some experience of managing the full life cycle of a grant applications.  All team members are expected to own and progress multiple Grant applications and own a fundraising target of thier own

About the role:

This role is based Rotherham and is offered on a hybrid basis working from both the office and at home.

As a Independent Victim Advocate (IVA) you will be:

- Ensuring the provision of individual structured, tailored support plans, based on a holistic assessment of impact and risk, within the framework of VS's Service Model. You may make initial contact with victims of crime, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.

You will need:

• To be a confident, compassionate & empathic person who can work well under pressure
• To be able to speak with people in a trauma informed way
• To be composed, empathic & able to quickly assess situations
• To live within South Yorkshire, or a reasonable distance from South Yorkshire, to allow you to fulfil the needs of our service and victims in line with our Outreach program
• To be a competent IT user, able to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office
