Purpose of the Job:
This role is within our crisis alternative service – Safe Space - which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00pm(midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. The shift pattern for this role is 4:30-11:30pm. This will be on a rota basis across support workers.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis. This will consist of 1:1 support; de-escalating and providing interventions, signposting for specialised or longer-term support, and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The aim of this service is to de-escalate and prevent further crises.
The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
- To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
- To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
- To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.
- Promoting people’ rights and responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and developing flexible and realistic crisis support packages/person centred plans
- Listening to clients and encouraging positive steps towards self-management of crisis and recovery

You will have:
- Minimum of 1 year working in mental health services and with clients experiencing mental health distress and crisis

About the Role
Sense is recruiting for a Senior Database Officer to join our fantastic team in King’s Cross, London. This is a permanent, hybrid role, working one day a week in the office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in meeting the department’s complex and varied data requirements. This is a high-energy varied role and the post holder will be expected to manage and push forward multiple work activities simultaneously. Your core focus will be delivering data selections and exports to all teams in the Supporter Engagement directorate as such, a solid working knowledge - and experience of the Raiser’s Edge is essential. This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we work towards moving over to Microsoft dynamics in March 2025 and the successful candidate will have a hand in shaping this work and support with the transition.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- Working with the Data Manager and all Supporter Engagement teams, the post holder will ensure data selections are delivered accurately, cleanly and on time working to an agreed process
- Proactively liaise with supporter facing teams to ensure clarity regarding upcoming selections and potential overlaps between audience groups
- Use this knowledge to champion the supporter’s interests during the planning and development phases of any and all campaigns
- Working with customer teams, produce accurate inclusion queries to extract data.
- Understand and maintain accurate suppression queries to ensure our compliance with both our legal responsibilities and the best practices expected by our supporters.
- Manipulate data exports to ensure consistent formatting and structures before releasing the selection to our internal stakeholders
- Perform quality control tasks on data selections to ensure accuracy before releasing the selection to our internal stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Considerable experience of working with the Raiser’s Edge database with a demonstrable understanding of the single customer view
- Excellent understanding about how data can be used to drive a variety of disparate income streams with different audiences
- A track record of delivering multi segment data selections accurately and on time in a dynamic working environment
- A clear and demonstrable understanding of data protection regulations and other regulatory frameworks
- Sound understanding of direct marketing practices
- Experience of providing database training and documentation to users
- Excellent organisational skills with a logical and investigative approach to problem solving
- Excellent time management and co-ordination skills

In this role, you will:
- Support complex casework through assessment, formulation, and intervention, including highly specialised psychological assessments and trauma-responsive interventions.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions addressing both problem substance use and concurrent mental health challenges.
- Contribute to reflective practice groups, team formulations, and psychologically informed approaches for clinical and non-clinical teams.

This role provides advice and advocacy to LGBTQ+ people who contact Stonewall Housing because they are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The goal is to help people understand their rights and navigate their housing options in order that they have somewhere safe to live. People usually contact us because they are in crisis, the Case Worker’s job is to calmly assess their housing needs, provide them with immediate advice and sign posting and, where necessary, provide advocacy case work to ensure they get access to what they are entitled to.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide a high quality, flexible and responsive advice and case work service to LGBTQ+ people, supporting them to exercise their rights and get access to safe accommodation.
· To assess the individual needs of each person and provide a bespoke advice and advocacy plan.
· To ensure that effective service user participation mechanisms are in place.
· To ensure a high level of customer care and practice at all times.
· To develop links with relevant external agencies.
Main Duties of the Post
Casework Sessions
· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our advice and advocacy service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.
· To assess each individual’s current housing situation and form a view with regards to risk associated with their case.
· To explore all options available to the service user allowing them to make informed decisions.
· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing the advice and advocacy to develop and review individual work plans and risk assessments.
· To have regular case work sessions to provide structured support, in relation to Housing specific issues.
· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.
Liaison with Landlords / Other Agencies
· To support service users to report repairs and work with landlords and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to contact local authority, voluntary and private sector landlords to report anti-social behaviour issues and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to present to local authorities as homeless, where appropriate, and advocate where necessary.
Other Duties
· To establish and maintain accurate and complete records in all areas of work
· To complete statistics for the collation of performance and funding information
· To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations in relation to funders and other key areas.
· To participate in individual and clinical supervision meetings, annual appraisals and training

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience
· Lived experience, or experience of working with homeless or vulnerable LGBTQ+ people, in a voluntary or paid employment setting
· Lived experience, or extensive experience of working with LGBTQ+ people.
· Experience of providing advice and advocacy support to vulnerable people in a professional setting
· Experience of working with and delivering services to a diverse client group with a wide range of support needs
· Experience of supporting people who have faced LGBTQ+ discrimination or hate crime

Essential Knowledge
· Knowledge of Housing Legislation and how it applies to those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness

- Demonstrable experience of managing fundraising or income-generating campaigns, nationally and internationally, including in coalition with other organisations where applicable
- Experience of managing and overseeing high-value giving, legacies, trusts, statutory and corporate fundraising programmes and activities, to maximise income.
- Experience of developing new products/activities and taking them to market.
- Knowledge of global animal welfare, within an international development context would be beneficial

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
Following a phase of sustained growth, Blue Marine is seeking a Head of Operations. This new team member will support the Director of Finance, Operations and Governance to manage a broad scope of operational functions, particularly focused on contracts and agreements, data management, risk management, systems and security. The role will involve collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation to drive system and process improvements. (Note that HR is not within the scope of this role.)

Role and Responsibilities:

Support Sessions

• To meet face to face with service users regularly to provide structured support, in relation to LGBTQ+ and Housing specific issues, such as gender identity pathways, mental health services, health issues, safeguarding, liaising with the professional network.
• To work with LGBTQ+ people to develop and review individual support plans and risk assessments.
• To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.

• To assist service users in maximising and managing their income including universal credit, ESA, PIP and Housing Benefit.
Semi-independent Living Support
• To work with service users to enable them to develop the life and social skills necessary to sustain their accommodation and prepare them for independent living.

• To act quickly to manage incidents and to advise, support and assist service users unable to maintain supported accommodation into more appropriate housing options.
Resettlement
• To support service users in the completion of application forms necessary to support move-on housing, including the private rented sector.

• To work with housing providers, both public and private, to negotiate move on options.

Stonewall Housing’s core hours are between 10:00 – 16:00 and staff can agree regular working patterns with their line manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Schools’ Adviser to join the Education team in the Diocese of Chester.
The Adviser will be a key member of the Diocesan Education team, working in conjunction with the School Effectiveness Officer, providing strategic leadership that promotes and delivers educational excellence and effectiveness across our Church of England schools and academies in the Chester Diocese.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong personal commitment to promoting education with a Christian purpose and have qualified teacher status.
This is a part-time position for 3 days (21 hours) per week. The role offers hybrid working that includes working from Church House at Daresbury Park, Warrington, and travel around the Diocese.

ABOUT US
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a world where trees and woods thrive for people and nature. THE ROLE
The Tree Equity Officer will lead on our vision that by 2030 we would like to see the added protection of existing trees and en route to 1 million more trees established in Scotland’s urban areas that currently have a low Tree Equity Score (TES). They will be responsible for establishing and developing partnerships with others to deliver exemplar projects across Scotland that demonstrate and communicate benefits of improving TES. The Tree Equity Officer will Advocate to embed use of TES in Local Area Plans/LA strategy of city authorities and encourage city authorities to raise funding for improving TES in their cities.
As part of the Scotland Team, they will be responsible for working together collaboratively with other colleagues across the Trust to develop and oversee the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy. They will work with policy and advocacy colleagues to influence local and national government and others to embed Tree Equity as a tool to inform and direct urban forestry and green space delivery and preferably embed within policy.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from one of our Regional Offices based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have excellent knowledge, experience and passion for urban forestry and/or urban green infrastructure. You will also have experience and understanding of the operation of local government and planning. You’ll be able to inspire and influence others to promote and embed Tree Equity delivery.
A key part of this roles requires programme and project management skills and experience in developing strategies and plans to deliver outcomes, particularly in urban greenspace.
You will have the ability to collaborate with other teams and colleagues to develop and lead the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy to ensure woods and trees are valued and recognised in key policies and decisions at a national level. You’ll have great research and analytical skills being able to communicate and tailor complex information to different audiences, building positive relationships internally and externally using your skills to influence stakeholders.
