An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Housekeeping Assistant to join our Housekeeping Team. Role Requirements

Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.

• Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
• Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
• Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
• Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

About the role

SSAFA’s Network & Community team, operating across the UK, are proud to announce this role as part of their strategic development plans.

This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.

Supported by the Head of Network & Community Fundraising, this role is fundamental in developing, supporting and championing new and existing fundraising from health providers and local authorities. Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for an Support and Outreach Assistant to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our Roma Communities to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. Where local services and resources are not available you will also support the Outreach Team with the delivery of information, guidance and some direct interventions, such as training sessions, directly.

This is self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the Roma community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.

The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role, as well as your ability to speak Romanian. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.

Your main roles and responsibilities will be:

- Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to Roma Big Issues vendors
- Delivery of direct intervention to Roma vendors using guidance and resources provided
- Join meetings with Roma Vendors and Outreach Workers to support with action planning and provision of support and guidance
- Support with translation and interpretation within your local team to enable accessibility of the service for Roma vendors
- Support the local Hand Up Service to build current knowledge of local and national agencies that can support Roma vendors
- Support the organisation and delivery with Roma Vendors of 1-2-1 and group training sessions and drop-ins
- Ensure that your work meets service standards and targets and complete surveys with vendors as required
- Involving Roma service users in the service design and delivery as local and national opportunities arise
- Adhere to all required policies and procedures including with regards to safeguarding, lone and safe working, case work management and expenses and finances

You need to be:

We are seeking a Governance & Risk Officer to join the Governance Team reporting to the Head of Governance. 

You will provide high quality secretariat and governance support to a number of Council Committees and internal boards; and coordinate LSHTM’s risk management activities. You would develop working relationship with internal risk champions, LSHTM’s executive team and committee members and demonstrate attention to detail when reviewing and updating risk registers.

Understanding the strategic context that the Governance Team works within is key to success in this role, as is the ability to deal with a lot of information at pace, and to exercise good understanding and sound judgment when documenting decisions and reviewing risks. 

You should hold a qualification at a higher education level (or equivalent) with experience of coordinating risk management processes and producing risk related reports. You must be proactive with excellent organisational and drafting skills, take effective minutes and will be confident in engaging with a wide range of LSHTM Stakeholders and able to interpret complex and voluminous data to explain to non-experts and to draw out the salient points for minuting or inclusion in reports. The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. 

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £38,282 - £43,947 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). We are delighted to be recruiting for our next Director of Services, who'll manage our adult, family and youth services, supporting ADHD and Autistic people in NW London, their families, and the professionals who work with them. As a trusted member of our senior leadership team you will be driving impact for the more than 4,000 people we work with each year by:

• developing and implementing service strategies and plans
• acting as the designated safeguarding lead
• driving equity, diversity, and inclusion internally, and in the way we deliver our work

The role will be based in our office in Eastcote for 3 days per week, with the possibility for home working for the remainder of the time.

Salary £50k FTE.  Note the salary listed is a full time equivalent salary based on 35hrs per week, so actual salary will vary depending on hours agreed.

Job Summary

CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.

As Director of Services, you will work closely with the CEO, leading on the management of the Adult Services, Youth Services and Family Services workstreams within the charity, ensuring the high quality service provision for which we are known. The role sits within the senior leadership team at CAAS, alongside the Finance Director, and manages the Youth Services Manager, the Family Services Manager and the Adult Services Manager, who in turn manage around 20 staff between them.

The Director of Services provides a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure and operational workings of the charity are effective for the more than 30 staff we employ, and the more than 11,000 instances of support we provide each year. Therefore, we are looking for a capable, calm, self-motivated, organised and hard-working Services professional who has worked in a management role directly responsible for service delivery in another charity.

The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent communication and relationship building skills, significant experience of operational service delivery, team leadership experience, the ability to articulate and drive our impact, and a good understanding of fundraising and monitoring requirements in a medium sized charity. Ultimately you will have the drive to ensure that everyone who works for us, and everyone who seeks support from us, has the best possible experience.

There is no requirement for any experience of delivering services that support ADHD / autistic individuals, as we will provide training, but it would be helpful to have a good understanding of the conditions, and the strengths and challenges they may bring. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to make an impact are essential.

Key Responsibilities – Strategic and Organisational

· To lead in the development and implementation of CAAS strategy in our work with service users, ensuring that all our services have a thoughtful strategic underpinning, and a measurable and significant positive impact for our clients. · To work with the CEO to understand the organisational risks facing the charity within the service provision it provides, and to develop and implement the necessary mitigations

· To ensure services are accessible to our clients, that projects are begun, maintained or stopped in a planned and thoughtful manner, and that the services we provide offer the very best support that is possible for our clients, taking into consideration latest research and understanding about the conditions, and about the people we wish to reach.

• To work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues, to identify new funding opportunities, and to develop new fundraising proposals and funding bids, which support and advance the work of the charity over the longer term.

• To write funding reports and outcome analyses, and prepare for and attend funding review and monitoring meetings.

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000

The Early Help domestic violence project aims to embed early intervention and domestic violence homicide prevention best practice into a multi-agency whole family approach response to lead to better outcomes for those involved including children. The purpose of the Early Help IDVA role is to work closely with Early Help / Family solutions and Brent Family Front Door / MASH to support women who have had Early Help intervention due to domestic violence.

About You:

To be successful as the Early Help IDVA you will need the below experience and skills.

The post holder will be co-located within Brent Early Help and will help raise the team’s awareness, identification and response to those experiencing domestic violence, the post holder will jointly work with Early Help Practitioners on cases to support service users and improve partnership responses. The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children. The post holder will also have an understanding of children’s social care and care proceedings. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women involved with Children’s Social Services and Early Help, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

To be successful as the Early Help IDVA, you’ll need the below experience and skills:

§  Excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children

§  An understanding of children’s social care and care proceedings

§  Be an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs

§  Skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis

SCHOOLS BASED ACROSS BURNLEY & SALFORD

We require a Social Worker to provide high quality social work in our schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

You will work directly with children and young people, their parents, carers and schools in order to further the child’s welfare and provide the interventions necessary to enable them to use their learning opportunities to the full. You must be able to provide a non-judgemental, caring and confidential environment throughout this work to ensure the issues are addressed in an appropriate manner for all those involved.

To apply you will have experience of working with children and families and experience of direct work with children which includes supporting school staff with safeguarding. You must have competent IT skills which includes providing regular reports to the individual schools and Caritas and feedback to school staff as required. You must be able to maintain appropriate resources, databases and case files as well as maintain efficient and comprehensive referral and recording systems.

Registered social worker status with Social Work England (SWE) is essential and the salary includes accrued annual leave.
