About the Role:

As Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will play a central role in driving income growth and increasing the impact of our partnerships. Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting for an Operations Officer to play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have grown rapidly in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. We are now expanding our operations team to support the larger staff team and delivery of our strategy.

This role will support the organisation’s ongoing development by helping ensure the charity has necessary systems in place and operates in line with its policies and procedures. You will support the organisation’s IT systems, digital transformation, HR, finance and administrative processes. Your responsibilities will include:

· Supporting the operation and improvement of systems that maintain delivery of our mission such as office management and administration, IT and HR

· Work closely with the Operations and Officer Manager to implement digital transformation to ensure that the organisation is using the best tools and working in as efficient a manner as possible

· Work closely with the Operations and Officer Manager and Administrator to ensure financial reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner

· Support the drafting of policies, procedures and systems used by the organisation

· Act as our day-to-day administrator for our database on Salesforce, with training provided as needed

· Provide first-tier support for IT problems within the organisation and liaise with our IT support provider when issues need escalation.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £31,294 with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are located between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. At the time of posting this advert, none of our staff are going into the office every day. There might also be occasional travel outside London with plenty of notice. Annual leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).

About the Role

You’ll be securing financial support for Brigstowe from individuals while simultaneously raising its profile among stakeholders through strategic communications and marketing efforts. This work includes:   

1. Building relationships with community groups and corporate organisations, managing individual giving through the ‘Friends of Brigstowe’ programme, organising fundraising events and providing supporter care.  

2. Developing and implementing marketing/comms strategies to promote Brigstowe’s work, producing branded materials (newsletters, reports, blogs, videos), overseeing our website and social media presence, and handling media relations.  

About you 

You’ll have a proven track record in community fundraising, with a good understanding of stewardship that converts supporters into champions.

Creative and proactive, your previous marketing and PR expertise will bring compelling stories to life across various platforms, enabling us to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders. You’ll be someone who networks comfortably and spots opportunities others might miss. You’ll be resilient, self-motivated, and be meticulous with a strong eye for detail and fantastic planning skills.

About the role
The Community Activities Coordinator plays a key role in reducing loneliness and isolation while increasing volunteering in the community as part of the Furness For You partnership.

The role involves:

• Organizing engaging activities (like workshops and events) to promote confidence, independence, and life skills.
• Providing one-on-one support and signposting to relevant services.
• Creating a welcoming environment to encourage community involvement and well-being.
• Supporting participants’ development of soft skills and personal goals.
• Referring individuals for additional support when needed, including help with food, fuel, and access to the community laundry.

Overall, the coordinator helps participants build meaningful connections and improve their quality of life.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• IAG Level 2 or equivalent
• Knowledge of the local voluntary and community sector and experience of working with people who  have multiple barriers
• Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage work load whilst being a team player and recognising the importance of partnership working
• Have previous experience of running activity-based sessions
• Have previous experience of tracking improvements using Action Plans/STAR Outcomes or similar
• Ability to motivate people who lack confidence
• Customer care skills, caring and empathetic
• Experience of data collection and collation, including writing reports and case studies
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of participants
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience of following safe lone working practice guidelines
• Knowledge & Experience of writing and completing risk assessments

You’ll play a key role at Share, making sure the day-to-day management of the CEO’s office is organised and productive, and that all matters are dealt with in a professional, efficient, and sensitive manner. You’ll support fundraising at Share, so we can do more great work supporting our students. You’ll conduct research and compile data to support decision-making and help demonstrate the impact we make.  

Main responsibilities  

• You will provide support to the CEO on strategic and improvement projects 

• You will provide high-level and comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including efficient coordination of meetings and other appointments on behalf of the CEO  

• You will liaise with Share’s board by taking and producing Share board minutes and supporting new trustees 

• You will provide support with fundraising and provide data about our students to support fundraising applications 

• You will work with the CEO and working parties to organise annual events such as the Share awards
