We are looking for an experienced Grants Commissioning Manager to join our Grants & Commissioning Team based in Portsmouth. The Commissioning Manager will support the Head of Commissioned Grants with all elements of the commissioning cycle including understanding need, designing projects, performance management of delivery and reporting of impact as well as providing and developing commissioning and project support, in line with RNRMC’s commissioning and partnership funding model.The role will work with internal and external stakeholders regarding the performance of grants programmes to ensure quality, evidenced outputs, and value for money of projects.
In addition, you may be asked to line manage team members, taking responsibility for actively and proactively supporting them to achieve in their post.

Experience and Background

Hours of Work
Hours of work are 35 hours per week, 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Salary
The salary range for the post is between £ 38,000 to £ 45,000 per annum, according to skills and experience.

About The Role

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fundraising and Communications Executive is a new role and will play a pivotal part in advancing our communications and fundraising strategies. As OTR continues to grow, this position will be instrumental in expanding our online presence and ensuring we connect with a broad audience, including young people, families, professionals, and supporters of our mission. JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising and Communications Executive will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and communications strategies. The role involves planning, creating, curating and managing high-quality digital content across our website, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, you will support key areas of our fundraising strategy, including trust and grant applications, horizon scanning and ensuring excellent fundraising administration across all areas of activity.
This position is instrumental in supporting the Head of Fundraising in developing and strengthening OTR’s income streams and increasing awareness of OTR’s services through effective communications.
Specific role duties
Supporting the fundraising strategy
• Lead on OTR’s donor and community fundraiser stewardship through excellent communication and effective relationship management.
• Lead on the implementation of fundraising communications across channels.

• Support the stewardship of small and medium-sized trusts and foundations including scoping, applications, reporting and funder management.

Social media

Purpose of the post
The Warehouse Supervisor plays an essential role in the smooth running of the Vale Lane warehouse, supporting all aspects of the food operation.
You will work as part of a team to effectively support the warehouse operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to Community Food Members (CFMs) to high levels of compliance and service. This role will include working with a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.
The role will be primarily based at our South Bristol warehouse, where alongside our usual food redistribution operation and volunteering programme, we run our youth employability programme FareChance for 18 to 25-year-olds to develop logistics and workplace experience.

Overall Purpose

We are looking for individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding role helping to change the lives of young people by taking up a permanent role as a part-time Programme Support Tutor. You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.
The main duties of the role
To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.
- To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
- To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery.
- To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
- To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks.
- To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes.
- To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act, Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety.
- To champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide.
- To undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.
Contract
Permanent, part-time
Start date
As soon as possible, as agreed with the candidate and subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check, and right to work checks.
Working hours
- 16 hours per week
- Monday, Thursday 14:00-18:00; Tues, Weds 13:30-17:30
- Local school term-times only (excluding public holidays)
Days of employment (if term time only)
You will be employed 188 days (of 4 hours each) per year, made up as follows:
- 164 days of work (inclusive of additional days below)
- 18 days of paid annual leave (to be taken outside of local school term times and on any bank holidays occurring during term time). For the avoidance of doubt, non-working time during school holidays which is in excess of your holiday entitlement shall be unpaid.
Additional 32 hours (or 8 days of 4 hours each)
These will be agreed between you and your line-manager, and may include days during school holidays. They will typically include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting and the annual staff conference. These will be pro-rated based on when you join in the academic year.
Salary
Starting salary is £27,400 (pro-rata)
Pro-rated salary is £10,558 per annum
