Citizens Advice Southwark has a track-record of delivering high-quality services from its two main offices in the borough and outreach locations across Southwark and South East London. Research undertaken by CAS shows that many private renters face significant challenges in respect of housing costs, security of tenure, repairs and rights awareness.
As a result, Southwark Council is funding CAS to run a dedicated private renters’ support organisation to help support and promote the interests of private renters in the borough, and to undertake a range of activities to support and empower private tenants, particularly the most disadvantaged.
To deliver the project we are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to provide overall coordination of the project and to lead on developing a proposal and business case for a permanent independent Renters’ Support Organisation in Southwark.
- Experience of coordinating and delivering a partnership project including monitoring progress against objectives
- Experience of establishing and developing successful partnerships with other agencies and joint working
- An understanding of the challenges facing private renters and the private rented sector, and the rights available to them

The Role
The role involves managing the effective administration of the Medio-Legal Report Services including liaising with our medico-legal report writers, with instructing solicitors and with clients. It involves scheduling appointments, preparing the documentation to be provided to the writers and dispatching the final reports.
It will involve managing MLR doctors and recruitment and management of volunteers to support these functions, in order to ensure the smooth processing of referrals for medico-legal reports and robust production of these, from the point of acceptance to delivery and invoicing.

The opportunity

Using your excellent organisation and communication skills, you will support the existing Community RePaint (CRP) schemes and help to develop new schemes in order to substantially increase the volumes of paint collected and redistributed in local communities across the UK. You will promote and raise awareness of CRP online across multiple platforms, develop the CRP brand, lead on communications, and assist with promoting ReColour remanufactured paint. You will work with community organisations, paint manufacturers, retailers, businesses, decorators, and housing associations across the UK to increase the supply and distribution of surplus paint into the network and onto walls in local communities. An important aspect of the role is to develop and secure new schemes to join the network and find creative ways of encouraging paint reuse.
What you will be doing
Line managed by the Network Manager, you will have their support and guidance, to deliver the following;
Supporting the CRP network
- Proactively engage and respond to scheme enquiries, providing excellent customer service through email, phone, and social media accounts, troubleshooting to find quick and helpful solutions.
- Provide support and advice to all schemes, sharing relevant information and resources, and assisting with operational issues.
- Improve the ‘networking’ element of existing schemes, to increase the number of network functions and opportunities.
- Undertake visits to schemes across the UK, both independently and with CRP colleagues.
- Organise, devise, and deliver training materials, presentations, and events to support existing and new schemes.
- Respond to external enquiries via telephone and email.
- Liaise with external organisations in order to better assist local schemes and customers.
- Manage the project’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, liaising with developers and ensuring it is being fully utilised.
Growing the CRP network
- Contribute to the development of the CRP strategic delivery plans.

Marketing and communications management

- Monthly Paint Pad (to CRP schemes) and bi-monthly RePaint Roller (to external organisations) newsletters.
- Regular press releases.
- CRP network promotional materials.
- Produce marketing content (including photographs and videos) for use across the network’s communication channels.
- Assist individual schemes with the production of tailored communication and publicity materials.
- Oversee maintenance and update of the CRP website content, liaising with our website partners when complex amendments are needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and development of social media accounts – Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok.
- Conduct monthly reviews of social media activity, performance and website statistics with the Network Officer and assist with content planning for the month ahead.
- Deliver presentations to external organisations, to promote the work of CRP.
- Manage stocks of marketing materials, organising print of new materials, as necessary.

We're looking for an empathic and energetic Helpline Co-ordinator to join the Helpline Management Team. You'll be working closely with our Helpline Supervisor and Helpline ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor), co-ordinating the smooth running of all aspects of TST’s Helpline service supporting survivors of rape, sexual abuse, harassment and bullying.
You will also provide administrative, practical and emotional support for TST’s survivor forum meetings. Experience of supporting group sessions will be an advantage.
You will ideally have a background in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential and you will be able to work sensitively and confidently with difficult topics.
You will be responsible for supporting and attending internal meetings, co-ordinating rotas and supporting the Helpline and Call Handlers during opening hours.
You will maintain accurate records and part of your role will include gathering statistics for monitoring and reporting processes.
You will ideally have previous experience of working on a helpline and/or working in the voluntary sector, but please don’t be put off from applying if you don’t meet all requirements. KCLSU is an independent charitable organisation that works to further the interests of approximately 36000 students at King's College London. Join us!
An opportunity has arisen to provide support in our weekly groups for young people aged 13-19 who are experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. The groups are an informal, fun, confidential space where young people can meet and chat with other young people, take part in feel-good activities and receive helpful information and tools. There are two groups a week, one on Thursdays in Tunbridge Wells between 4.30pm-6pm and another in a venue in Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge, details to be confirmed.
We are looking for a Sessional Support Worker to assist with the delivery of the groups. The postholder will work closely with the Reachout Youth Coordinator to help plan and deliver the groups and provide support to group members. You will have experience of working with young people and an understanding of mental health conditions. You will have excellent communication and listening skills, be positive, warm and welcoming and able to deal confidently with challenging situations.
The role is for 5 hours per week. Most of your time will be spent at the groups in their 2 different locations, with some time being spent helping to plan activities, attend monthly supervision, and/or other relevant meetings outside of the groups.

Main Purpose of Job
To coordinate and lead the implementation and delivery of a sports, social and employability programme for Deaf & Disabled young people across West London.
The post holder will split their time between coordinating the project, and leading on delivery of the sessions, which will be a mixture of sports sessions, social clubs, and employability sessions, designed to prepare participants for the workplace.
Responsibilities will include
- To increase participation in sport for teenagers and young adults who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or have a disability.
- To increase social opportunities for teenagers and young adults who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or have a disability.
- To create and provide employability opportunities for Deaf/Hard of Hearing and disabled teenagers and young adults, including training courses and volunteering opportunities.
- Use Deaf/Disability-friendly communication to publicise and co-ordinate the Project.
- To help build the team of staff to effectively deliver the Project, including assisting with recruitment of new coaches and volunteers.
- Train coaches, support workers and partners in basic BSL and Deaf Awareness.
- To encourage partnership work across West London to ensure a coordinated approach to all Deaf and Disability activity participation across the region.
- To ensure monitoring reports are completed to a high standard and in a timely fashion, as per funder’s monitoring guidelines.
About You
You will have atleast two years’ experience of working with teenagers/young adults who are Deaf or disabled and previous experience in delivery Deaf or disability activity programmes. You will have a good understanfing ofthe issues faced by Deaf and disabled participants and their families related to activity provision and attendance.
You will have the ability to work to deadlines and have good time mangement. Good organisational skills are essential.

Grandmentors
Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. These young people often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.
Volunteers meet with a young person regularly to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each young person
Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within London Borough Councils and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties Responsibilities
· To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.

You will understand the importance of parks in an inner city environment and have volunteer programing and management skills, along with a record of delivering fundraising income and achieving targets.
You must also have a broad range of other skills, particularly in developing strong partnerships, clear strategies, education, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
