About the role

Here for You is Breast Cancer Now’s personalised referral route to all of our services.

This role is responsible for the management and development of the Here for You delivery team. This includes training and line managing support officers and volunteers who make initial and follow up calls to primary and secondary breast cancer patients. This new role has been created to take on day to day responsibility of the Here for You delivery tasks, ensure patients get calls within service level agreements and provide timely and trusted information and support to people diagnosed with breast cancer. This involves leading the team, responding to safeguarding issues, collecting data, and guide the team to deliver excellent information on the phone. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues focusing on the Here for You expansion, as well as working with colleagues across the primary services, secondary services and personalised support services. The role also liaises with our Helpline team.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with strong team leadership skills, who has experience in working in a fast-paced and people-facing environment. The right candidate will be passionate about reaching more people with breast cancer and can develop and manage a growing team, provide quality phone calls and is willing to adapt and innovate. CPAG is looking for a welfare rights expert to manage our Early Warning System.

With a new government in place this is a great time to join the Advice and Rights Team at CPAG as we look to influence policy makers and parliamentarians and support the advice sector in delivering a fair and comprehensive social security system in the UK.

The Early Warning System (EWS) collates evidence of long-term concerns and developing issues within the benefit system, from the advice sector and beyond. EWS evidence is used to develop and promotes improvements to the benefits system with our colleagues in the Policy Team, as part of our work to end child poverty.

The EWS officer will actively promote the EWS, encouraging contributions from advisers and claimants. The EWS officer will record and analyse case studies as well as the issues which arise on our advice services, to provide insight on the impact of changes to the benefits system and evidence for our campaigning and research work.

You will play a key role in responding to calls for evidence and consultations, and liaison with the DWP and other policy makers. You will work closely with the advice sector through publications, briefings and events such as seminars and conferences, to increase advisers’ awareness of the concerns highlighted by the EWS and to promote solutions to support claimants.

Visiting Speakers Responsibility:

Our Governance Coordinator is the key point of contact for all External Speaker bookings by KCLSU student societies and activity groups. 

Responsibilities include:

• Complete initial checks, and any required risk assessments, for all external speaker bookings, against the trigger criteria within the policy.
• Coordinate mitigations such as chairing training for events that are high risk.
• Liaise with Kings to enable student groups with external speakers to book rooms for events.
• Organise meetings with student groups to improve awareness, knowledge and understanding of how the KCLSU works to support freedom of speech at King’s.
• Work with the Head of Governance and Compliance on issues arising from External Speaker events or risk assessments.

• Coordinate the work of the Governance Assistant in liaising with students and societies regarding arrangements for low to medium risk events, where no referrals need to be made for a full, joint risk assessment with King’s.
• Support the joint KCLSU and King’s College London freedom of speech initiatives through the work of the Freedom of Speech Advisory Group (FESAG) (Operations Group), agenda setting and servicing meetings

The post-holders shall also:

• Assist with the planning and scheduling of governance and policy related agenda items for the annual cycle of Board and Sub-Committee meetings;
• Support the governance-related policy review process, including developing new or updated policies, and their effective implementation;

As a Young Adult Intervention Coach (YIC), you will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of tailored intervention coaching plans for each at risk young person on your caseload. You will work to achieve progression outcomes for each young person that includes reducing mental, physical, and emotional harm and supporting each young person transition to positive, thriving lifestyle both on a one-to-one basis, and in partnership with other individuals and agencies involved in the lives of each young person.

Your purpose is to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialised one to one harm reduction and life skills coaching. 

Alongside this you will work with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention such as knife and gun crime crisis situations as well as working with partner agencies.

You will have robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence. You will also possess sound risk assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge.  A key component of the job role is case management and knowledge of good practice models, which will underpin their practice, is essential.

The role:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which comprises Leeds Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to play a key role in the running of this busy Cathedral Parish.

The role  will include some evening and weekend work.

The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.

This is a new role whichrecognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including the parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes. Working closely with our National Campaigns Manager and Public Affairs Manager to plan, develop, and deliver impactful campaigns that improve access to essential support and services for people living with and affected Motor Neurone Disease (MND). You will collaborate with colleagues in the Services and Partnerships and Policy and Campaigns teams to identify challenges and failures in local services, turning these insights into powerful integrated local campaigns that bring about meaningful change.

Working with volunteers is a crucial aspect of this role. Engaging with both online and offline volunteers, you will provide them with the tools and support they need to amplify our campaigns. By creating compelling campaign assets, such as emails, toolkits, and reports, you will help to ensure our message reaches a wide audience.

You will represent the Association in collaborations with external stakeholders, including coalitions, to further our campaigning goals. Your efforts will contribute directly to the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns and events across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, ensuring we meet our objectives, deliver against targets, and make a tangible impact.

Additionally, you will support the Policy & Campaigns Assistant in managing correspondence and enquiries, ensuring people living with and affected by MND are not only heard but are actively involved in shaping and delivering our campaigns. By working closely with colleagues across the Association, you will help to increase our profile, reach, and engagement, ensuring that our campaigns are as effective and far-reaching as possible.

• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with the wider finance team.
• Ability to produce concise information and analysis to support decision making.
• Experience of working in a medium-sized or large organisations in the social housing or property sectors.
