We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Trusts and Foundations Manager to cultivate and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve our strategy as we pursue new projects and reach more beneficiaries.

The role is key in maximising income from charitable trusts and foundations, collaborating across the Ri to develop innovative and compelling proposals, delivering excellent account management and stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects.

You will develop cultivation strategies for current and prospective charitable trusts and foundations and research relevant trusts and grant making bodies to prepare, write and submit applications. You will use your outstanding relationship building and networking skills to build relationships with trust and foundations that are new or lapsed and create opportunities to introduce the work of the Ri.

About you

Driven and motivated, you will be an engaging communicator and creative thinker with experience at writing persuasive funding proposals and the ability to communicate complex messages to a range of audiences.

Do you have:

· Substantial experience of fundraising in the cultural or similar sector,

· Trusts and foundations fundraising experience and knowledge of public sector income streams and trust and foundation practices and principles

· Experience preparing fundraising applications, and a track record of fundraising success

· Demonstrable experience of maximising opportunities from researching prospects. generating meetings, securing income and managing relationships with donors

You will work closely with local organisations and healthcare professionals to continue to develop the project and provide the best service to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Be responsible for incoming resident referrals. You will meet with the resident, understand their needs and what matters to them to develop a personalised action plan to provide relevant support.
  
  
• Be responsible for referring patients to onward voluntary and community groups for continuing support to their health and wellbeing.
  
  
• Provide ongoing support to the resident for approximately four sessions, which could vary from follow-up phone calls or attending appointments with the resident, centred around what is best for the resident. 

• Be responsible for developing exit strategies and ensuring residents are receiving appropriate support, and aware of the right services before discharge.
  
  
• Actively feedback key themes and insight to ensure continuing development and support of Bexley’s Voluntary Sector.
  
  
• To assist in maintaining the database of local services and activities in Bexley.
  
  
• Meet residents in a variety of locations including community locations in Bexley and Bexley GP Practices.
  
  
• To provide regular updates and reports on caseload management, ensuring that the CRM system is kept sufficiently up-to-date and records all information accurately.
  
  
• Work in partnership with GP Surgeries, including providing patient updates, regular outreach sessions and attending multi-disciplinary meetings.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. It is envisaged that this post will be community based but this will be regularly reviewed.

We are looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of leading a team of staff who have lived experience of many of the issues facing children and young people on the estates of Eltham.

Superkidz Community Trust was founded in 2001 and over the years, has provided children and young people with a safe space to play and to interact with adults who have the time to listen to them. We have developed a model of engagement, Transform Group and Individual Mentoring (TGIM), that puts interaction at the heart – not simply providing activities but ensuring that there are sufficient adults around to engage the young person in conversation and the chance to express worries, self-doubt and concerns.

All our workers are drawn from the local community and many have been beneficiaries of Superkidz themselves. Most have lived experience of the issues facing our young people.

Key accountabilities:

The Manager will:

· Be an integral member of the team delivering Superkidz day to day activities and groups.

· Following consultation with staff service users and the Board prepare a strategy, financial and operational plan that best delivers impact in line with the TGIM theory of change. This should include locations, staffing, activities, income generation and should be fully costed.

· Lead the organisation in the implementation and further development of this strategy in consultation with the Board.

· Proactively use quality and impact information and strategic analysis to inform the development of new programmes of work that improve the lives of beneficiaries.

· Ensure that systems and processes are in place to manage, monitor and report on all compliance issues including; safeguarding, health and safety, and risk.

· Take accountability for financial decisions that protect the charity’s funds, ensuring the charity is sustainable and fulfils the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies.

· Ensure that there is an appropriate funding strategy in place to secure the greatest possible diversity of income, through commissions, grants, donations, fundraising and social enterprise trading, and lead on the delivery of subsequent plans.

· Lead on the effective management of all aspects of Superkidz services and staff team, ensuring that staffing systems and procedures are up to date, regularly reviewed, and fulfil legal requirements.

· Oversee and lead on the development of staff to ensure that all teams and individuals have the opportunity for development and can work at the highest level of performance. Mentor and cultivate the existing skills of staff, providing them with a platform to grow.

· Ensure that all Superkidz services are delivered in line with all external and internal quality standards and in line with commissioners/funders requirements.

· Develop and lead on a marketing and PR strategy that promotes Superkidz, raises awareness, and increases client and funder engagement.

· Develop and lead on an effective communications strategy, both internal and external.

· Lead on the strategy to assess and develop opportunities for collaborations, alliances, and partnerships that deliver increased impact and lead to financial sustainability.

· With the Fundraising Liaison Manager, demonstrate leadership in key strategic relationships with public bodies, funders, corporate sponsors and other external stakeholders, through a range of communications, networks and events.

· Ensure full, timely, accurate and effective communication with the Board of Trustees and any sub-committees of the Board.

· Ensure that all decisions made in the course of the role are made according to current legislation and in line with all instruments of governance.

As a Housing Domestic Abuse Advocate, you will provide intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse. Working within a fast-paced team, you will help empower women and ensure that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. You will have your own caseload of survivors who hold social tenancies with local authorities or housing associations, and you will encourage them to engage with our service and ensure they have access to support. You will also co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support which focuses on working with domestic abuse survivors to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

About You:

 

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG degree and be keen to learn and to train on the job. You will have a good understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families, and communities. You will have proven skills and experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including carrying out short risk management and safety planning. We will expect that you have experience in assessing the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have and an understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation with regard to legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children. Lastly you will bring your knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation.

With many skills and qualities to add to this role, if you have good IT literacy, data collection and monitoring these skills are maximised in your role. If you have experience or have been trained or are qualified in the fields related  to substance misuse, criminal jusice, law, social work or domestic abuse we would love to hear from you.

The Role

Amongst the services provided by the charity are Independent Living advice, provision of Assistive Technology, Welfare Benefits, Money Matters, Housing Advice and Accessible Housing.

As Tenant Liaison Officer, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the organisations houses and supporting the Housing Manager in the operation of the service when required. You will also oversee compliance and manage the Housing Volunteers.

About You

You will have experience in a housing role, particularly property maintenance. Excellent time management, communication and IT skills are crucial in this role.

The ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting priorities is essential as is having a good grasp of financial process and strong team-working skills.

The Organisation

A little bit about the role 

We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. This makes it a great first step into your career as you’ll have real practical examples to take forward. You will work with the Selection Manager and Selection Officers to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate at Approach Social Work assessment centres, supporting assessors and sharing responsibility for ensuring days run smoothly and consistently​
• Manage the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors)​
• Act as first point of contact for candidates experiencing technical difficulties with IT systems used as part of selection process.

About the role

The Dementia Support Line Team Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Support Line which receives over 60000 calls per year and operates across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

The Dementia Support Line Team Leader manages a team of Dementia Advisers providing leadership and direction to ensure they provide a highly responsive service, giving appropriate advice and support to people affected by dementia. 

In this role you will coach and develop your team to deliver high quality person-centred support for everybody affected by dementia. You will be part of the team ensuring management cover across the operating hours of the service. Key responsibilities: 

- Responsible for the recruitment, development and performance management of Dementia Advisers working within the service. - Be able to manage your team to ensure the provision of a high quality service to people affected by dementia.
- Have experience of managing staff as well as strong IT skills and the ability to use management data to ensure KPIs and standards of service are met.
- Have experience of integrated telephony systems and service user databases.
- Have an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers and direct experience of working in a lead role in a telephone and e-mail based service.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to coach, mentor and support staff, getting the best out of them.

Senior Programme Officer, In2STEM

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Programme Officer to join our growing In2STEM Programme team. The focus of this role will be to support delivery and ensure that our young people have an exceptional experience on the programme. You will also be kept engaged through deputising for the In2STEM Programme Manager one day per week.

You will have a good understanding of the challenges today’s young people from less privileged backgrounds may face and bring a proven track record of supporting vulnerable young people and/or adults with a range of support needs, including mental health needs, learning difficulties and disabilities. You will be good at building trust and rapport with young people and have practical experience of appropriately, calmly navigating situations involving safeguarding and signposting for young people and adults.

Duties and responsibilities

The purpose of the Senior Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2STEM Programme and ensure our young people have an excellent experience.

Your specific duties will include:

Programme Delivery

• Managing a caseload of students and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, placement matching, onboarding, event planning and programme delivery (in-person and online), troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.

• Where appropriate, supporting the Programme Manager as the first port of call for programme staff with enquiries or needing advice relating to pastoral care for our beneficiaries.

• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with partners and funders to further the delivery of our work. This will include for example, working with schools, colleges, academic and professional services staff at universities.

• Creating and developing engaging resources to support the programme including video presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images.

• Monitoring student and volunteer applications to ensure targets and milestones are met.

• Maintaining up to date records via the programme database and ensuring data protection.

• Ensuring all operations are in line with Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies and procedures.

Evaluation

• Developing programme activities, using student and volunteer evaluation data and staff insights.

• Optimising systems, processes and ways of working, to ensure delivery models are scalable and achieve intended outputs and outcomes to the highest degree of quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.

• Maintaining a comprehensive overview of programme activities, among both staff and partners, and reporting on progress at regular intervals as defined internally and contractually.

• Supporting team members to create evaluation and student data reports.

• Supporting the creation and dissemination of case studies, working closely with the fundraising team to ensure funder requirements are met.

Deputy Managing

• Managing the In2STEM team when the Programme Manager is not working, including preparing and running programme update meetings from time to time.

• Supporting and assisting the Programme Manager to ensure organisational and delivery targets are achieved.

Person Specification:

Essential

• Track record of experience directly supporting vulnerable young people and/or adults with a range of support needs, including mental health needs, learning difficulties and disabilities, facilitating access to other support services as needed.

• An understanding of the social and economic barriers that prevent some young people accessing STEM careers and an ability to recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion in STEM.

• Knowledge and understanding of the STEM sector, including higher education, apprenticeships and STEM careers.

• Experience of delivering projects for young people including recruitment and caseload working.

• Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt to a range of audiences.

• Good understanding of safeguarding in practice when working with young people.

• Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to pick up new tasks quickly and keep a level head when faced with challenges.
