About the role

As one of two Regional Programmes Manager, you’ll inspire and lead a team of Senior Programmes Officers and Kinship Family Workers to effectively deliver high quality support services for kinship families across Greater London, the South of England and the Midlands.

You’ll do this by working in close collaboration with local authority teams who have commissioned our services and other funders where appropriate.

You’ll have accountability and ownership for ensuring we deliver impactful services for kinship carers and that we meet targets for our commissioned services. Working collaboratively with our other managers in other services, you’ll ensure we’re delivering high impact programmes.

You’ll ensure your team have real clarity and direction on their role and responsibilities - encouraging curiosity, learning and solutions-focused thinking. As a leader in the organisation, you are a key model for the team.

Your team will deliver the following programmes:

• Kinship Connected – in-person one-to-one support and support groups in the community
• Kinship Reach – remote one-to-one support and virtual support groups
• Kinship Ready – online workshops to prepare new and prospective special guardians for their role, as well as wraparound one-to-one support (in one local authority)

You will also manage a new role of Grants Officer - London, funded by the Aviva Foundation.

As one of our deputy safeguarding leads, you’ll be part of our key safeguarding structure.  This means you’ll take ownership to make sure our people feel confident and well supported to demonstrate best practice and making sure safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of programmes, supporting mostly home-based Senior Programmes Workers and Kinship Family Workers to ensure high quality, consistent and impactful programme delivery.

• Meet performance targets as directed.

• Create and keep developing processes and systems which support consistency across all programmes, ensuring good quality documentation and manualisation on Notion.so

• Develop quality assurance frameworks with other service managers and directors.

• Support your team to establish and deliver in-person and virtual peer support groups regionally and generate engagement with kinship carers.

• Line management and supervision of Senior Programmes Workers and Kinship Family Workers as required.

• Actively encourage personal development and support staff to deliver key targets and outcomes and ensure high levels of wellbeing.

• Work with the Director of Services and Digital, Head of Programmes and the Business Development team to develop proposals and present to local authorities to secure commissions.

• Manage the delivery of commissioned contracts through collaborative relationships with local authorities, ensuring targets are met.

• Manage the programmes and services within budget, in accordance with Kinship’s financial procedures and ensure the reporting of progress in line with funder requirements.

• Work actively and positively with other managers within Kinship to ensure sharing of best practice, problem solving, relevant connections and consistency of delivery across England and Wales.

• Act as a deputy safeguarding lead at Kinship

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in managing a regional service or programme with high quality outputs (national experience desirable but not essential).
• Substantial experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for families experiencing crisis and experience in reaching ‘hidden communities’ and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Experience of leading and managing continuous improvement in changing contexts.
• Experience of governance and managing risk on high profile service delivery.
• Experience of ensuring that services are designed and led with user needs at the heart, ensuring that the voices of our kinship carers inform ongoing design and development of our programmes.
• High quality digital and data literacy and using technology to help us to be better in our processes. You’ll have to own Salesforce and be a massive champion for the team. You will be accountable for ensuring they use it well.
• Substantial experience of leading high-performing service teams including managing wellbeing, development and performance.

This is a key role, the lives of kinship carers are incredibly complex.  Give one example of a safeguarding situation that required your response in a previous role. This is a newly created role which is being introduced to support the centralisation and future growth of the Marlow Education Trust . This hands-on role will be responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all transactions and month-end processes are carried out, preparation of balance sheet, capital projects and fixed assets reconciliations , line management of finance officers and assistants, as well as  oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and VAT returns. You will be involved in cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis and more. You will support the CFO, and work closely with all schools’ leadership teams and Headteachers.

The successful candidate will have previous financial experience ideally in a school environment and a recognised accounting qualification,, and will be flexible and able to  demonstrate an ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will be professional in your approach to all aspects of the role,  extremely well organised, a team player and competent with accounting and procurement software, MsOffice and Google Suites. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Produce draft monthly and annual financial statements, including payroll and balance sheets reconciliations, income and expenditure, and cash flow statements

• Undertake payroll preparation including staff cost allocation on a monthly basis

• Support the production of regular re-forecasts during the academic year

• Prepare and post monthly and annual prepayment and accruals

• Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation

• Monitor of capital projects income and expenditure and carry out necessary postings at the end of each project

• Ensure compliance with VAT, taxation, and other liabilities, minimizing amounts due while meeting legal requirements

• Undertake a credit control function thus ensuring that the payment of outstanding sums are received as swiftly as possible

• Liaise with auditors and facilitate all audit arrangements

• Manage finance team in the central services and work closely with School Leaders to provide consistent financial information to all schools

• Collaborate with the CFO to design and implement new financial systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining strong internal controls

• Act as an extended part of the schools' Senior Leadership Teams, providing high-level support to their back-office functions

• Support schools in setting reliable and realistic budgets based on consistent planning assumptions

• Monitor and identify corrective actions when necessary to ensure budget adherence.

• Serve as a liaison between the finance team and our schools, providing support and equipping them to carry out their roles effectively

• Develop the knowledge and understanding of the Trust’s schools' Leadership Teams, fostering professional relationships and networking opportunities between school

Other 

• Work within school policies and procedures, including participating in performance management and professional  development as required

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive project manager with a passion for London’s built heritage. The Head of Projects will oversee the delivery of our restoration projects across the capital, ensuring they meet our high standards and achieve maximum public benefit.

The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of restoration projects, from initial research and site identification to overseeing conservation work and successful project completion. West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (WYPP) is to be launched as a 12-month pilot, following successful programmes in other UK areas. Staying Put are proud to lead this partnership of 5 exceptional providers of domestic abuse services; Leeds Domestic Violence Service represented by Leeds Women’s Aid and Behind Closed Doors, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership and Wakefield Domestic Abuse Service.

We are now looking to set up our team of dedicated and passionate Family Court IDVAs. There are vacancies at all partners for this post, the salary will be the same across the partnership, however the terms and conditions may vary.

The locations for this role will be Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds or Wakefield. You will be employed by one of the above organisations and be based in one location, however there is the need for flexibility and expectation of travel across all areas, at times.

About the role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting individuals, families and children through the family court process as part of the Pathfinder programme. Working as part of a strong multi-agency team across the courts of West Yorkshire, you will ensure the voice of the survivor informs every stage of the process. Using a client-led and trauma-informed approach, this role provides high-quality advocacy support to survivors of domestic abuse.

• Various hours available – 22.5 hours over 3 days, 30 hours over 4 days or full-time at 37.5 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
• £27,898 – £28,898 FTE per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
• 12 month fixed-term contract initially. There is the possibility of extension, depending on successful outcomes of the pilot.

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning and delivery, and working with volunteers. You will be experienced in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in the North East, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

FUNDRAISING LEADERSHIP

• Lead the development of the fundraising strategy to grow and diversify the charity’s income, with support from the CEO.
• Evolve our fundraising function to maximise benefit to the charity; developing additional or existing income streams as set out in the fundraising strategy, with support from the CEO
• Lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy, setting annual plans, income targets and budgets
• Establish and grow an effective, high-performing fundraising function. Provide effective leadership for the team (Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Assistant). Nurture and develop colleagues to achieve their potential.
• Ensure systems and processes are in place for effective management and development of the fundraising function, including compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and our policies.
• Manage the fundraising budget, reforecasting income and expenditure throughout the year and reporting progress to the SLT and the Board of Trustees.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adapt plans where appropriate.

HIGH VALUE GIVING

• Responsible for leading the development, and managing the delivery, of our major donor and corporate fundraising strategies
• Identify and engage potential new donors
• Ensure effective stewardship is in place to develop relationships with donors
• Be the lead contact with John Caudwell’s Charity Pioneer, supporting the recruitment and engagement of Life Changer Circle members.
• Support the CEO to develop and maintain the charity’s relationship with our founder, John Caudwell.
• Carry out due diligence on new funder relationships; being mindful of any risks to John Caudwell’s reputation in the course of fundraising activities and the wider charity’s work.
• Deliver sustainable income growth through a focus on development of a varied range of corporate partnerships.
• Responsible for proposal and application development for potential Corporate donors, taking a lead in pitches and negotiations with potential partners, coordinating input from colleagues.
• Work with Operations team and wider colleagues to develop engagement opportunities for Corporate Partners which are of mutual benefit.

TRUSTS, FOUNDATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL GIVING

• Support the Grants Manager to develop strategy and plans to maximise ROI from Trusts and Foundations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential skills and experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
• Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and stakeholders, including grassroots and volunteer-driven fundraising efforts.

Job Information

We have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an exciting new programme, aiming to improve the experience and continuity of hospice care for young people with life-limiting conditions transitioning from children's to adult services.

You will provide clinical leadership of this UK-wide programme, empowering young people, hospices and system partners to overcome the inequities of care experienced by patients and families throughout this transition. 

You will become a crucial part of the Programmes Directorate at Hospice UK. This team is responsible for areas of real relevance and importance to our hospices’ membership, including: commissioning support; data, research and evidence; clinical and non-clinical projects; learning platforms: sharing good practice; and a well-regarded and commercially successful portfolio of conferences, including our flagship national conference.

You will bring the clinical leadership needed to deliver this exciting new programme. You will lead our young person’s forum and provide invaluable mentorship to hospices. Supported throughout by our Senior Programme Manager and Team Administrator, you will further develop our Transition Community of Practice and help us collate and share programme data across the sector. You will lead on partnerships and strategic relationships, with Together for Short Lives and other decision-makers across our sector. When representing Hospice UK and our programme externally, you will offer clinical expertise leadership within the field of Transition. 

You will have senior palliative care experience, working in the field of transition. You will have led clinical programmes across systems and/or regions, and experience supporting organisations with Quality Improvement projects. You will be an excellent and influential communicator, who embraces working with data while maintaining a strategic overview.

Duties & responsibilities
People

• To work alongside and train Companions to increase their skill base and confidence
• To organise the deployment of tasks to individuals and team members
• To train, supervise, motivate, and inspire volunteers and companions.
• To help devise and deliver induction on standards of work to new team members so that retail activities are delivered to the agreed brand, including customer service, merchandising, pricing, stock control, and culture

Warehouse Operation

• To ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations by maximising quality donations and minimising waste
