The Adult Carers Team Leader reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for leading and managing the Adult Carers team. 

You will provide leadership and stability to the Adult Carers staff team, by line managing, coaching and supporting employees to create a happy, productive work environment. You will work within the Adult Carers team to deliver an engaging, accessible range of peer support groups, social activities and one to one support, working to targets and budget, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.

This role requires you to work collaboratively with carers and professionals to meet carers’ needs and shape the service, building and maintaining strong partnerships to do so. You will support our wider organisational objectives and help out with events, communications and other ad hoc work.

Responsibilities

• As a business partner, ensure that there is a sound understanding of business areas in terms of both present as well as forecasted performance.
• Work with budget holders on the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that any advice/support in understanding the numbers is provided in a timely manner, and that they and senior management are supported in their decision making.

• Experience in the financial management of grants, including developing budgets for proposals (on a full cost recovery basis), and reporting for donors.

In December 2023, with consultancy support, we designed an exciting youth service strategy with a delivery model centred around children’s needs and with the vision for change on how separated children and young people are treated in their asylum journey by creating holistic casework, high quality joined up relationships across the organisation, collaboration with local partners and supporters through learning and sharing best practice to transform their experience and bring systemic change.

The Age Dispute work sits within the Youth Casework team, and we seek to deepen the impact by supporting more children and young people now dispersed across England and who are wrongly age assessed of assumed as over 18 by the Home Office and/or by the local authorities. The age disputes casework adviser will bring expertise to provide specialist casework to challenge incorrect age assessments, use experience to deal and prioritise high risk cases, work with various stakeholders including legal representatives, statutory agencies, and collaborate with others in sector to develop, learn and share best practice resources in casework provision. The postholder will maintain an understanding of the changing practice in relation to age assessments in particular and the wider policy landscape, work with colleagues in the Youth Services and in consultation with the Youth Services Manager, liaise with other relevant Refugee Council teams, including advocacy, practice development, youth involvement, In-Form to use casework evidence to address inequities in policy and practice.

Based within the Youth Services of the Refugee Council, the Age Disputes Casework Adviser will be responsible for:

• Working with children and young people to understand their experiences and needs.
• Working closely with other Age Disputes Casework Advisers and the Youth Services Manager to identify and review high risk and complex cases that need prioritising and create effective internal case triage and allocation systems.
• Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the needs of young people with disputed age are recognised and met.
• Identifying age assessment policy and practice issues impacting on the lives of separated children for possible action via strategic litigation with legal representatives and advocacy colleagues.
• Maintaining expert casework knowledge and understanding of the environment and barriers that separated children seeking asylum face in with regards to the assessment of their age, and issues related to access to high quality information, advice and legal representation on immigration, asylum and welfare, and always learning and sharing the knowledge with others.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the spaces, from health and safety compliance to customer service excellence. As the Director of Governance and Assurance, you will provide sector-leading company secretariat, governance, and assurance, ensuring the governance structure efficiently manages regulated activities and commercial group entities. The post-holder will also advise and support the Chief Executive, Chair, and SLT on all aspects of regulation, corporate governance, and effective business conduct for the organisation, ensuring the highest standards of probity and according to statutory and legislative requirements.

The Director of Governance and Assurance will oversee risk management and assurance functions, ensuring effective systems for internal controls and regulatory compliance, including internal audit management. They will provide administrative support for Board and Committee meetings, including agenda planning, minute taking, and record keeping.

This role is a key contact with the Regulator of Social Housing and other external government or regulatory organisations including CQC and Ofsted.

The Director of Governance and Assurance must embody a strategic and principled leadership style, ensuring the highest standards of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance. This individual will demonstrate exceptional integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes with confidence. With strong analytical and communication skills, they will provide expert guidance to the Board and Senior Leadership Team while fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. Purpose of the role:

The Domestic Abuse (DA) and Sexual Safety Coordinator will be pivotal in fostering a coordinated, supportive, and safe environment across Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB). This role is focused on addressing domestic abuse and sexual safety through the development of essential resources, effective governance, and a collaborative community of practice. The post holder will be responsible for creating a comprehensive directory of third-sector services, ensuring compliance with risk management standards, supporting policy development, and facilitating a network for shared learning and mutual support among employees. This role will contribute to a cohesive approach in safeguarding and providing holistic support across the region.

Key Duties – What you will be doing:

Main Responsibilities:

• Mapping and Directory Creation:
• Identify and map third-sector services within Cheshire and Merseyside related to domestic abuse and sexual safety.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Directory of Services to provide staff with a clear resource for referrals and support.

Governance and Risk Management:

• Oversee governance processes related to domestic abuse and sexual safety, ensuring adherence to best practices and robust risk management.
• Embed evidence-based practice in DA and sexual safety policies and procedures, integrating these practices within the organisational framework.

Policy Development Support:

• Contribute to the development of a comprehensive DA and sexual safety policy aligned with NHS standards and local requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to draft, review, and implement policies.

Community of Practice Coordination:

• Establish and lead a community of practice to connect employees involved in DA and sexual safety work.
• Facilitate regular meetings, sharing sessions, and training to enhance knowledge, skills, and collaboration amongst employees.
• Develop methods to capture insights and learning from the community to inform future policy and practice.

About You – Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of domestic abuse and sexual safety concerns, particularly within healthcare settings.
• Experience of health systems, structures, and governance.
• Proven experience in risk management, governance, and policy development.
• Ability to build partnerships and coordinate networks across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with experience in project management and resource development.
• Proven ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data to extract, summarise, and act on key findings.

Responsibilities of our Principal Surveyor:

- line manage a team of three Regional Surveyors, providing comprehensive guidance in estate and retail matters

- responsible for a portfolio of properties, including Cats Protection centres, retail premises, residential and miscellaneous legacy properties

- monitor and report on estate condition status and maintain compliance across an assigned geographical portfolio, supporting the Head of Estates and Construction in the delivery of estate management services across the organisation

- create and maintain performance and process documentation and reporting systems across the Cats Protection Estate, including reporting on SLA’s and KPI’s, ensuring consistent information across all regions

- respond to requests from the property helpdesk, including reactive and planned maintenance

- liaise with property sector agents and professionals as needed

About the Estates and Construction team:

- We ensure that Cats Protection is able to sustain its cat welfare operations and retail activities by providing Estate Management and Construction services delivering acquisition, repair, maintenance, re-development and disposal services for an estate portfolio of circa 196 properties including 34 Cat Centres, 79 Shops and other Cats Protection premises across the UK. Together with the Safety, Health and Environment Team and Facilities we ensure regulatory/legal compliance of properties.

- The Estates and Construction Team consists of approximately 17 personnel, including three Regional Surveyors

What we’re looking for in our Principal Surveyor:

- an experienced Surveyor (level 6 or higher) with significant post-qualification experience surveying in a property management or facilities management environment

- member of professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB

- experience managing a team of employees

- performance orientated, with an organized and methodical approach

- knowledge of retail acquisitions, disposals and leases

- multi-site property management experience

- experience managing minor project work including small building projects (up to £500k)

- understanding of estates compliance

- Competent with all Microsoft Office programmes

- a full, valid, UK driving licence

This role is pivotal in supporting the charity’s data and systems transformation programme, ensuring the effective management and maintenance.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management including licence management, user permissions, and training
• Ensure supporter data, processes, and systems are efficient, high quality, and compliant with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with the CRM Business Analyst to gather requirements for a new CRM and support the implementation of a Super User structure
• Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ThankQ
• Maintain and develop training materials for CRM users, ensuring data quality standards are met
• Provide user support, triage tickets, and resolve issues on the service desk platform, Manage Engine
• Oversee scheduled data feeds and troubleshoot issues with the Data Integration Specialist
• Contribute to the Data Quality Programme by developing and standardising data capture and monitoring processes

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience in a Senior Data Operations Officer or similar role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and structured query language (SQL) Server Management Studio
• Practical knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and ensuring compliance
• Strong IT skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience in providing database training, creating processes, and procedures
