About the opportunity
The Birmingham Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.
- Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

full working week is 37.5 hours.

About the role
The UK government’s resettlement programmes (such as the UKRS, ARAP as well as other UK Resettlement Schemes) support refugees who are selected and processed in the region of origin and brought to the UK with their status already determined. Under these schemes, a specific quota of refugees will be coming to the UK for resettlement.
The Resettlement Team in Yorkshire and Humberside provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision, and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To provide information about the work of the Refugee Council to potential volunteers and to maintain regular contact with refugee community and other organisations which might provide a potential source of volunteers for the Refugee Council.
- To work with the managers and resettlement workers within the team to identify the potential need for volunteers and the necessary skills required.

· Attend physical meetings and Events as and when needed to provide support.
· Support the production of recording Healthcare professionals, Patients, Care givers for educational webinars/Events using but not limited to Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
· Co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the Fundraising Service to include planning and organisation of the fundraising activities programme and deal with related telephone calls, emails, social media etc. Maintain effective communication with the fundraisers whilst adhering to GDPR such as but not limited to London Marathon, bake sales, just giving pages

About the role
You will work alongside the financial resilience project to deliver a programme of involvement activities both for Birmingham Hub and the wider organisation, making sure that the views and experiences of individuals with lived experience shapes and informs all of Shelter’s work. People can take part in a variety of way such as involvement groups, taking part in events within local communities, co-designing services and campaigns and speaking out about the housing emergency by sharing their stories.

About you
You will need experience of facilitating involvement groups and other activities to support and involve people with lived experience in Shelter’s work. You have a strong understanding of how lived experience of housing issues can impact a person and so ensure a safe and inclusive space where everybody can contribute. The ability to plan and co-ordinate involvement activities with local teams, with several activities running at once is important too.
You will have a flair for developing successful relationships with colleagues across Shelter, as well as external local organisations and partners. Also, you have some experience of presenting information verbally and in writing, as is IT literacy including case management systems, Microsoft Office, internet, email and online meetings.

About the Team
At Birmingham Hub we have around 25 staff plus volunteers and specialise in providing housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage. We work in partnership with a range of organisations to improve the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable homes.
We currently have a 3 year partnership with a leading bank which aims to build financial resilience and break the cycle of poor financial health which negatively impacts people’s housing situation.

Place2Be is looking for a dedicated and organised Programme Coordinator to oversee the smooth operation and success of our professional qualification’s programmes. This essential role involves managing the day-to-day logistics of our Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy for Children and Young People in Schools. The position requires close collaboration with the Programme Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure smooth programme delivery. Key responsibilities include scheduling, venue booking, resource management, customer engagement and maintaining accurate data.
