Job Purpose:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will act as a resource for The Robin Cancer Trust, beneficiaries, healthcare professionals and the wider public on germ cell cancers. The role includes service delivery and development, reviewing our health information and health education and awareness training resources, and supporting the creation and facilitation of a new Medical Advisory Group for Robin Cancer Trust. They will also work with the CEO to contribute to wider work to streamline and develop the services offered by The Robin Cancer Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead responsibility for keeping up to date with clinical updates relating to germ cancer and communicating these to the team to inform service development and delivery.
- Research, create and provide accessible information and resources on all aspects of germ cell cancer (detection, treatment, recovery and survivorship)
- Oversight of the content provided in all training materials, resources and information developed by the wider team relating to germ cell cancer detection, treatment and recovery and survivorship.
- Build external stakeholder and peer relationships with other key cancer partners including hospital networks, cancer care partnerships, and other voluntary sector providers. Playing an active role in the germ cell cancer community.
- Working as a core part of the Robin Cancer Trust team to engage people face to face, providing information and on early detection, treatment, and recovery.
Person Specifications
Essential qualifications:
- Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and a degree in a related subject.
- Post-registration qualification(s) in speciality or relevant subject cancer care.

We are seeking to appoint an Advocacy and Communications Officer – a vital role for our 70-strong coalition during an exciting period for our work.

What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a real commitment to campaign for change on corporate accountability for human rights abuses. You’ll be enthusiastic and full of ideas, able to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks, while being ready to show initiative and take ownership of your area of work.
You don’t need to be a policy expert on our issues, but you’ll need to have the ability to rapidly gain an understanding of what we work on and why, and advocate for these issues to Parliamentarians and civil servants.
Facilitating joint work alongside our coalition partners is fundamental to everything we do, so we’re looking for someone who already has experience of working in coalitions or in the not-for-profit sector - whether in the UK charity sector or elsewhere - and who will be at ease regularly communicating with other organisations and facilitating meetings which can have multiple organisations in attendance. What you’ll be doing
- The post holder will help advance Ukie’s policy work on aspects of UK and international policy impacting the games and interactive entertainment industry through:
- Monitoring policy changes and providing in-depth policy analysis, research, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Relationship building and engagement with Ukie members and wider sector stakeholders, including attendance at internal and external stakeholder meetings and coalition industry groups.
- Support the Senior Policy Manager in research for Ukie’s external consultation responses, co-ordinating with members and facilitating internal forums for discussions on particular issues.
- Support in organising events and engagement with policy makers within Whitehall, Westminster, the Devolved Governments and with regional, combined and local authorities as well as with our global partners in the EU, US and further afield.
- Assisting the policy and research teams with major public affairs projects and campaigns according to the UKIEs internal strategy and drawing on Ukie’s internal data and external partners where appropriate.
- Supporting and promoting Ukie at external political meetings, including our bi-annual Westminster Games Week.
- Support in raising the profile of Ukie and its significant policy priorities through external communications in partnership with the Ukie campaigns team, and through public scrutiny such as the use of written parliamentary questions.

Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with games industry member businesses and a wide range of external bodies; including partner organisations, government officials and other trade bodies.
- Support the Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy in the management of Ukie’s internal stakeholder groups – including Ukie’s policy group and its various working sub groups.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement trackers and act as a point of contact for external engagement with Parliamentarians, regional politicians and their offices.

Qualifications and experience required for this role
Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a degree to apply for this role, but experience of working in a policy facing role, public affairs agency or regulatory environment would be advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided via Ukie or external providers where appropriate.

Do you have the passion and skills to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing nature and climate? Many of these challenges are complex and long-term, and our systems change campaigning function works with colleagues across the RSPB to tackle them head on. We are recruiting for a Senior Campaigner in our Campaigning & Mobilisation department.
What’s the role about
Our systems change campaigns work tackles big, complex problems facing nature and climate over the long-term. The current focus is to drive systemic change that creates the right conditions for nature-friendly farming to prosper. You will focus campaigning pressure wherever it can be exerted to best effect – and not always at governments, but also at other key actors. Through the campaigns you develop you will help us realise large-scale positive change for nature and climate that builds and builds.
The campaigns you help develop will have multiple elements, offering our phenomenal supporters a range of ways to get involved. Their supporter journey will deepen engagement and empowerment of individual campaigners over time, equipping them to tackle these complex problems in their own way.
As part of a dispersed team, you could be based anywhere in the UK, so long as you’re able to travel to central locations to get together with colleagues, and on occasion to meet with colleagues in Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
In this role, key activities will include:
- Co-creating and delivering systems change campaigns on behalf of the RSPB, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
- Responsibility to roll out systems change campaigns in two of the four countries of the UK (with another Senior Campaigner covering the other two).
- Recruiting and line managing professional volunteers to provide expert guidance or deliver campaigns.
- Building key internal and external relationships to support development and delivery of systems change campaigns.
- Maintaining technical expertise and analysis of external context relating to the current campaign and challenges facing nature.

The Role
Daily importing of donations and personal data from a range of sources to Raisers Edge using Import-o-Matic, RE imports, and
occasional batch and manual entry.
Work closely with the Database Manager and Finance team, reconciling gift income between Raisers Edge and Microsoft Business Dynamics.
Provide support, advice and training for the Supporter Engagement team to ensure that data entry policies are understood and maintained.
The Candidate
Experience of using the Raisers Edge and Import-o-Matic database at an advanced level.
Experience of income processing on Raisers Edge.
Experience of dealing with Gift Aid, including reconciliation and working on claims.

About the Role

We are recruiting for two wellbeing practitioners for our service in Harrow. The posts are part of services commissioned between Anna Freud and London Borough of Harrow (Harrow Horizons Early Intervention Service).
The service offers brief evidence-based individual and group interventions to address moderate wellbeing needs largely using CBT-based treatment, trauma informed and Mentalization approaches. Work is also conducted jointly with existing professionals where young people present with more complex needs to strengthen the skills and competencies in the multi-agency network. The work takes place on an outreach basis in schools, family homes and other community venues as well as being conducted virtually.
The Wellbeing Practitioner role will be suited to those individuals with skills and experience of working directly in schools/community and who are passionate about delivering high quality evidence-based intervention on a time-limited basis.
The post-holders will also deliver consultation, training, and workshop to non-mental health staff, such as teachers and social workers with other clinicians in the service.
