We are looking for an enthusiastic people person with great communications and organisational skills to help recruit and coordinate our talented volunteers. You will help take ANT to our next level of impact by leveraging volunteers to deliver tree planting and tree care activities across our woodland sites. Your role will support volunteer activities across Avon Needs Trees, but with a focus on our two largest sites: Great Avon Wood and Lower Chew Forest.

You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of nineteen (with more recruitment in the pipeline for 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of nearly 600 acres of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees.

Your legacy will be a tangible impact on slowing down climate change, helping nature recover and creating social impact by developing funding relationships that support our woodland projects and organisational development more broadly.

Main responsibilities

• Lead on the coordination of our volunteer leaders and volunteers to ensure we can deliver our volunteer tree planting, tree care days, and other activities, for example outreach volunteering or fundraising volunteering. Volunteer coordination includes:
  • Managing volunteer leader rotas and calendars
  • Ensuring all volunteers are provided with timely, accurate and clear logistical information ahead of volunteer days
  • Responding to volunteer and volunteer leader enquiries in a timely manner
  • Putting in place suitable contingency plans in the case of a volunteer leader having to pull out of a commitment
  • Administering our volunteer management system
• Work with the Chew Valley Project Team and the Engagement, Communications & Fundraising team to recruit new volunteers and volunteer leaders, and ensure the ongoing engagement of our current recruits. This includes:
  • Communications focused on volunteer recruitment
  • Coordinating volunteers along the recruitment process
  • Ensuring our web and digital assets are accurate and up to date
  • Producing high quality communications outputs targeted at our volunteers and volunteer leaders, for example, volunteer news bulletins
  • Volunteer focused project promotion on social media and other channels
• Act as the first point of contact for all volunteer related enquiries by managing our volunteer inbox and dealing with volunteer enquiries on the phone
• Ensure volunteering complies with our processes and policies, this includes:
  • Ensure all volunteer related documents are filed appropriately on our shared drive
  • Ensure all volunteer based activities are in line with ANT’s volunteer and health and safety processes and policies
  • Review volunteer expense requests
  • Escalating any issues in a timely and professional manner to the appropriate member of staff
• Work with the Chew Valley Project Team to support event delivery and logistics as required
• As with all Avon Needs Trees roles, contributing to grant writing and fundraising activities
• Work with the wider Avon Needs Trees team to help build a resilient, multi-site charity and undertake any other work necessary to pursue our aims. 

JRF’s Insight and Analysis team produces high-quality, original and actionable JRF analysis about poverty issues. We draw on a range of data sources, commissioned research and work with partners with lived experience of poverty to better understand what’s happening, why, and what can be done to solve poverty.

The role offers the opportunity to undertake original and creative analysis to shed new light on poverty-related issues, as well as offering a professional analytical perspective across the wider organisation.  The role involves designing the approach, identifying requirements and leading a range of innovative analytical work to meet JRF’s priorities.

You will take responsibility for leading the analytical input into one of JRF’s priority policy themes – helping to shape our policy arguments and propositions – for example, the previous post holder has focussed on deep poverty and leading the work on our flagship UK Poverty report.

This post sits in the organisation’s Insight and Analysis team, reporting to the Chief Analyst.

The Lead Analyst would be expected to generate ideas for new analysis, using a range of data sources, to support JRF’s mission – informing our policy & ideas work and our campaigning, media and advocacy activity. They would be responsible for leading and managing significant pieces of work – as well as supporting the growth and development of other members of the team.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

STEP for people seeking asylum is an exciting new specialised programme, working with people in the asylum system by providing high quality advice and guidance and delivering group pre-employability workshops. The post holder will play a pivotal role from the start of this programme in its first year of delivery.

You will prepare participants for employment (where appropriate) and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants such as successful delivery of workshops, completion of training courses, volunteering, and achieving and sustaining paid employment.

The STEP Employment Advisor will work remotely, and can be based anywhere in the UK, however you will need to be able to travel regularly for community outreach, engagement and workshop delivery.

• Proven experience or knowledge within the refugee employment sector
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by unemployed people seeking asylum when accessing pre-employment activities or employment (when they have the right to work)
• Experience of providing advice and guidance and supervising a caseload of clients
• Experience of designing and facilitating group workshops
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good IT skills (CRM Database, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with clients with varying levels of English
• Competency in a second language desirable e.g. Arabic, Amharic, Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Tigrinya, Ukrainian

As Area Volunteer Manager (Area Branch Development Manager) you will be accountable for the development, growth and local governance of branches within a designated area. Providing a solution-driven approach with the aim of helping more cats through the effective engagement of local volunteers. You will develop and deliver an area plan that captures the importance of volunteer engagement, recruitment, support, enabling and succession planning to ultimately achieve branch growth and sustainability. About this key role
St Giles Trust and the West Midlands Domestic Abuse Victim Support Service Consortium are partnering to provide DA offender intervention and tailored DA victim support. Our successful candidate will engage with offenders in police custody once they have been identified as being perpetrators of domestic abuse and will have responsibility to build positive relationships and work directly with the offender in custody to promote positive change, build resilience, reduce risks, and prevent further harm through DA offending.

You will produce DA offender risk management plans based on assessments and ensure that the DA perpetrator understands the consequences of their DA offending behaviour and works towards accepting responsibility for their actions and to positively change their behaviour.  We will also count on you to always promote and protect the safety of the victim(s) and families and to collaborate closely with all key stakeholders to ensure that increases in risk of harm are escalated rapidly and a multi-agency plan is in place. Delivering a holistic support service as the situation dictates is also a key element of the role.

• Several years of professional experience of similar role
• Experience of completing risk assessments and safeguarding victims, children, and families 
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs

What is the role?

We are looking for a People Services Manager based in Winchester, at our Central Office. The role will develop and improve our People services and processes throughout every stage of a colleague's life. 

The role will enable our People team to be more efficient and effective. Who are you?

You will have experience in one or more HR functions. These include recruitment, ER, learning and development, and operations. Or, they can be operational Customer Services/experience roles. For example, in a call centre or payroll. You must also have managed a team. Ideally, in one or more of the above functions.

You need to be a competent and confident system user, ideally within HR. You also need a strong background in process design and flow improvement. This includes system integration and data management expertise.

You will be confident in making decisions and prioritising. You can influence and manage stakeholders. You will have strong delegation skills. You will be confident in your ability to empower others to reach their potential.

Are you an experienced legacy case officer, who wants to be part of our lifesaving team? 

We’re looking for a Legacy Case Officer to join our Individual Giving team, to ensure that Thames Valley Air Ambulance is processing gifts efficiently, playing a crucial role in the administration of this pivotal income stream.

The role

As Legacy Case Officer you will:

- Be first point of contact for the Legal team, representing the charity in communications with legal professionals
- Be responsible for the day to day management and coordination of legacy case file administration and stewardship for Thames Valley Air Ambulance to meet the legacy income budget
- In conjunction with the Individual Giving (and legacy?) Development Manager, develop, deliver and evaluate a legacy programme, in line with the Fundraising department strategy and Thames Valley Air Ambulance aims 
- Act as a source of expertise in legacy fundraising for the charity 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need strong administration skills, with the ability to manage a varied and busy workload effectively. You will also need excellent communication skills, from drafting written correspondence to interacting with the public on the phone, or face to face at events. Ideally you will have experience of having sensitive conversations as you will be in regular contact with bereaved families. A knowledge of Wills, Probate and Trust law would be desirable.

Prospectus is excited to be working with Jewish Care to recruit a Digital Fundraising and Marketing Lead to join their fundraising team. Jewish Care is the largest provider of health and social care services for the Jewish community in the UK. Every week, they touch the lives of 10,000 people.

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis paying between £30,000 to £40,000 per annum working a minimum of 3 days a week from their London office in Golders Green and the rest from home.

A key role within the Fundraising and Marketing team the post holder, working to an agreed target, will engage both existing and new audiences through a range of digital channels. Working alongside strategic communications, the postholder will convert audiences into donors. Success will be achieved through digital integration across all of the organisations’ marketing and specific implementation of email communications to engage staff in the fundraising journey.

Jewish Care are looking for someone with experience in digital fundraising and marketing and detail experience in fundraising using a variety of digital platforms. You will have an understanding of the fundamentals of fundraising including donor cultivation and will be familiar with emerging digital marketing tactics in the areas of email marketing, social media marketing, SEO, content marketing and online advertising.
