About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but high performing philanthropy and special events team. This role works alongside our senior trusts and statutory manager and head of trusts and statutory to secure funding from charitable trusts and foundations. It’s responsible for managing and growing support from small to mid-level value trusts through compelling proposals and exceptional stewardship.
About you
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow and develop their experience in trust fundraising and make a significant difference for people affected by breast cancer. You’ll be a strong written and verbal communicator who’s passionate about building relationships with charitable trusts and foundations. With a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail, you’ll be able to work well independently and as part of a busy fundraising team. You’ll have experience of managing competing priorities, with the ability to stay calm and positive under pressure.

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advisor (IDSVA) to be based at Carlisle Infirmary.
This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse predominately risk assessed as high risk service across Cumberland. This is a key role at the hospital working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDSVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to hospital staff and local partner agencies
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic and/or sexual abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

Blackpool Crisis Support - Sycamore House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We provide a range of intervention support and are partnered with the NHS, working alongside the Home Treatment Team who offer clinical governance. Additionally, we offer a range of services for people with mental ill health to become more connected to their local community, building on their social engagement. We also signpost to local services and host awareness days that are truly reflective of the community we support to break down stigma and discrimination offering support 24/7 with a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

Support Coordinator
We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Services based in the Dorset East area.
There will be opportunities to hot desk within Bournemouth and Christchurch, as well as Poole NHS sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide Key Worker support following a stroke.
Position: S11166 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Dorset East however, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £21,391 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.
About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
· Setting up and running Communication Support groups.

The vacancy
Your typical day, as Senior Support Worker will be to inspire, lead and support your team of Housing Support Worker (Teenagers 16-17 years) across two of our new Ofsted Registered Schemes in Lambeth.
You will have regular one to ones, team meetings and deliver training and staff development sessions so we can exceed the expectations of our young residents. You will ensure your team are carrying out the needs and risk assessments and that each young resident receives a flexible personalised support plan which is regularly reviewed. You might have to liaise promptly with colleagues or partner agencies regarding safeguarding issues which needs to be addressed to protect our young residents from harm, abuse, or neglect.
Your goal with the help of your team of Housing Support workers will be to guide our young residents towards securing a place on the housing register or finding appropriate rental properties.
You will ensure that we are offering our young residents with the practical and emotional support necessary to regain their independence. Given the complexity of their needs, it’s crucial to establish consistent, trusting relationships, ensuring they feel secure and supported.
You will need to be empathic, have excellent listening skills, be non-judgmental attitude, and can recognise and respond to potential issues. You must be capable of working autonomously, navigating, and defusing difficult situations to prevent escalation.
What we’re looking for:
- Have you got experience of working with teenagers between the ages of 16-17 years who are vulnerable and have complex needs?
- Do you have experience of supervising or leading a team who work different shifts (across seven days, including weekends, bank holidays and night shifts)?

About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
Job Purpose:
You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. The role is full time , 37 hours per week, permanent fixed term funded until March 2025 and will be based at the North Middlesex University Hospital, The entrance to the A&E department is in Bridport Road, Edmonton, London, N18 1QX.
Starting Salary Range - £28,565 - £30,607
Successful candidates will work in partnership with the clinical team to facilitate discharge of children aged 0-12 years from the Emergency Department where the clinical presentation is not acute and can be managed at home by local services.
“This role requires workers to have experience of holistic ways of working with families and young people. Including assessment, support, signposting and making referrals to appropriate services where needed. The successful applicant will be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative and manage the pressures of working in both a busy emergency department and the community”
Some but not all of the key responsibilities are:
- Initial face-to face conversation or triage call to identify presenting issues and the level of intervention required.
- Delivering support flexibly and tailored to the needs of the family unit including telephone, virtual and face-to-face support and home visits where necessary. Contact with families could be a one-off or over weekly sessions based on level of need targeted.
- Signposting to partner agencies, based on needs identified.
- Supporting families to navigate their way through referral pathways and enable them to access universal & targeted services.
- Where required advocating on behalf of families, supporting parents and carers to communicate with professional/Services.
- Supporting families to access other local services.
Ideal Candidates must have's
- Experience of working with families with complex needs and the ability to build and maintain rapport through effective communication and listening skills, using a whole family approach.
- Ability to be clear and realistic about what support the service and you can offer to families.
- Ability to maintain a visible presence and sustain relationships with clinical staff, being mindful of the various working patterns/ professionals within the department.
- Ability to navigate a high pressure, fast paced acute healthcare setting.
- Competent IT skills to record and maintain accurate data.
- A basic understanding of Public Health, health inequalities and wider determinants that underpin health and wellbeing.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

The In Reach Hospital Emergency Department Family Support Programme model offers a robust way of supporting often vulnerable families to uncover and address unmet need. Through identifying the underlying factors causing the clinical presentation and attendance, and addressing holistic needs of the family unit, we hope activity to unscheduled, primary and emergency care is dramatically and sustainably reduced.
The model is based on Family Support Workers based within Children's Emergency Departments, offering holistic, family-oriented support in a flexible manner either in-person, telephone- based and home visits to be able to address the underlying causes of repeated / avoidable ED attendances.
*Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently to March 2025 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.
** Please note the hours for this role will be required over a 5-day week and may be done in longer day shifts or with set times i.e. 8am to 4pm (to suit Emergency Department and community/family needs). * Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Contract Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.
* Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements
* Serve NTQs, NOSPs, NRPs and carry out home visits as requested.
* Accurately and comprehensively record all actions on the housing management system and use reports from the housing management system to manage cases and monitor performance
* Assist with the taking on of new agency housing management responsibilities related to new services and as needed with the transfer of housing management responsibilities schemes to other providers
