About the Angelou Centre
The Angelou Centre is a Black-led women’s organisation committed to empowering Black and racially minoritised women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Our refuge provides trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and holistic support to help survivors heal, recover, and rebuild their lives.
As we grow and expand our refuge provision, we are looking for a dedicated Refuge Manager to oversee our safe accommodation services, including emergency housing, move-on accommodation, and specialist provisions for women with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
Role Overview
The Refuge Manager will lead a team of Senior advocates and House Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support is provided to residents. The post-holder will ensure that the refuge operates in compliance with all statutory requirements, housing regulations, and health & safety standards. They will also be responsible for property management, working closely with landlords, housing associations, and local authorities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of domestic abuse support services, safeguarding practices, and compliance obligations within the social housing sector.

About the role:
We’re excited to be launching a brand-new Housing First service in Camden next month, and we’re looking for a passionate, skilled individual to join our team! You will be working in a unique new service that for the first time will be offering support to couples who have been rough sleeping and are to be accommodated separately in their own flats. With a three-year commission and the ability to support 30 individuals, this is your chance to be part of a fresh and impactful initiative within our organisation. You will work from a base in Kings Cross, delivering support in the community and within the homes of your clients. You will carry a case load of 5 people and will provide intensive and flexible trauma informed support that is centred around the strengths and needs of everyone. You will work closely with a wide range of external statutory agencies and specialist colleagues in the team who will include: a health worker, an IDVA, psychologist, sessional occupational health, and perpetrator support.
The service will support an equal number of women and men. The people given priority for the service are likely to have been rough sleeping for prolonged periods, have been multiply excluded from services and have co-occurring conditions. There will be a strong emphasis on safety in situations that might relate to complex abuse within relationships and externally.
About you:
- Experience working with clients who experience multi disadvantages, including building trust and positive relationships with people who have co-occurring conditions and who may be mistrustful and have a low level of engagement with services.
- A proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes with clients with complex needs.
- Awareness of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and violence against women and girls (VAWG), and an understanding of how the intersection of these issues can be supported and the people involved safeguarded.
- To show leadership qualities; skills of a strong negotiator; ability to advocate and be diplomatic.
- A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to input data, the ability to be fully self servicing in the use of emails and the common computer packages including SHP’s client recording system.

About the Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing Mental health Crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and a 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.
As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.
By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery. Our services are needed now more than ever!
About the role
As a Crisis House Support Worker, you will work closely with other staff as part of a team in supporting the development of quality Crisis Support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.
Purpose of Post
To be a key member of staff supporting the delivery of the Nightlight mental health Crisis Service. Drawing upon your own lived and/or professional experience (where applicable,) in order to provide a mix of face-to-face, therapeutic and holistic support for those accessing overnight provision.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide emotional support and work towards developing, flexible and realistic crisis/person-centred plans with Service Users.
- To work within agreed guidelines with and for Service Users, whilst being guided and supported by Senior Staff (as well as the Leadership team) in regard to documents/plans such as: Assessments of Need, Risk, Crisis support plans and Review forms.
- To draw upon one’s own lived experience (If applicable) as appropriate, as to promote the delivery of person-centred support.
- To provide immediate and appropriate advice and information to clients as to support with crisis prevention.
- To liaise with Nightlight management and external services such as: police, ambulance service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental health Services, etc. as needed in terms of accepting referrals and proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitating appropriate support.
- Complete appropriate signposting/onward referrals to both internal and external services in accordance with identified needs and risks.
- Arranging transport for service users to facilitate access to services as needed.
- Support clients with activities of daily living as required.
- Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standards at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements.

- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)

St Christopher’s is the supported housing provider for the new London Accommodation Pathfinder – an innovative new London wide service to improve accommodation and outcomes for young people aged between 16 and 17 in contact with the youth justice system at risk of custody (remand or sentence). ABOUT THE SUPPORT MENTOR ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC (Royal Borough Kensington and Chelsea) to support our residents who have multiple needs including with daily living, mental health, substance and alcohol use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing them with the support to overcome difficulties that they face, and help them in achieving their goals to improve their quality of life and meet their desired outcomes. You will work within a residential environment and support in ensuring it is fit for living standards, and is an environment which is psychologically informed.
We strive to address the inequality of access to health, employment, training, and social care support for people with multiple needs .We understand that many people accessing our services have had to endure trauma and we respond to the impact of these adverse experiences through person-centered, trauma informed, trust-building and compassionate support.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday which can include shift patterns of 09:00 - 17:00, 11:00 - 19:00, 13:00 - 21:00. Weekend shifts, if required, will run from 09:00 - 17:00 or 13:00 - 21:00.

- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively as part of an integral, multi-disciplinary team addressing the physical, emotional and social needs of children and young people who may be neurodivergent, as well as their families using the service
- Maintaining relevant knowledge and understanding of safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance with Norwood’s policies and procedures for promoting the welfare of children and young people as well as vulnerable young adults
- Meeting with children, young people and their families at the centre (or other community settings) or in a remote working environment (adhering to Norwood guidelines) with a view to undertaking comprehensive assessments of individual needs using a strengths-based approach, understanding the impact of neurodiversity, planning appropriate responses in partnership with children and young people and their families
- Working with statutory and other authorities and community organisations to the benefit of the families we work with
- Advising families we work with and support, on relevant legal frameworks, which may affect them
