About the role
We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with a strong team work ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.
This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bath are area's filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Bristol hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.
Candidates should live within Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bath, in one of the following Postcodes: Gloucestershire GL, BS30-BS40, Bath BA1-3, Wiltshire BA12-15, SN, SP1-5, SP9. We will also consider applications from the Bristol postcodes BS4-5,BS7, BS10, BS14-16.

What will I be doing?

What do I need?
- A proven track record of delivering amazing customer experiences
- Experience of relationship management in either a charity or corporate setting

As a Children’s Advocate, you will be an essential independent voice for the children in this secure home. You will regularly visit the home, meet with the children, and ensure their voices are heard in the decisions that affect their lives. Your advocacy will be pivotal in promoting their rights, safeguarding their well-being, and ensuring that their concerns and wishes are respected within the care planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with the children, creating an open and safe environment for them to voice their concerns.
- Conduct regular visits to the secure home to meet with the children, ensuring they feel safe and supported in expressing their views.
- Represent children’s interests ensuring their voices are heard in decisions about their care, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Your new role
Your new role will play an important part in identifying new business, connecting with existing customers, selling and promoting ABRSM's products and services. Commercial gain will result from relationship building, networking and direct sales to key accounts with schools and organisations across England.
This will include:
- Devising and implementing an annual business development plan for all ABRSM products and services relating specifically to curriculum music making.
- Devising and agreeing a quarterly activity plan, managing own diary and travel arrangements as efficiently as possible
- Acting as a first point of contact for Multi-Academy Trusts, providing information and promoting all ABRSM products and services
- Presenting on a range of topics relating to ABRSM products and services, in both on- and offline settings, including at INSET sessions and conferences
- Negotiating advantageous commercial deals in order to grow ABRSM market share
- Preparing weekly activity and monthly sales reports
- Providing timely, comprehensive customer feedback to relevant internal stakeholders
- Nurturing existing relationships with key accounts, identifying and initiating contact with new potential key accounts / customers
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in applying for this role, you will need to have a proven ability of being able to work autonomously with experience in sales or business development within the education sector or a keen interest in music and education. It is desirable that a successful applicant has experience in working closely with Multi-Academy Trusts or a strong knowledge of the Music Education Curriculum in England. This role will suit strongly for a former teacher or music lead/teacher who has a commercial understanding of business development. If you are a former music teacher, seeking a career change with strong relationship building and communications skills, you are also encouraged to apply.
