Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate and solicit high-net-worth individuals, foundations and corporations capable of making significant financial contributions
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising on developing and executing personalized engagement strategies to secure major gifts and build long-term relationships with major donors, including high-net-worth individuals, corporations and foundations
- Design, implement and manage comprehensive fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, corporate sponorships, email appeal and crowdfunding among other initiatives to meet targets in alignment with ADC’s fundraising strategy
- Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising targets
- Coordinate with ADC’s marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding as well as to ensure effective usage of fundraising platforms and digital tools to maximize campaign reach and visibility
- Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on campaign progress, achievements and challenges against relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee the stewardship and acknowledgement of major donors to ensure ongoing engagement and support
- Undertake responsibility for carrying out other relevant tasks as required
Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Expertise
Essential
- Graduate/ Post graduate degree in social sciences, development studies, business management or equivalent
- At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in fundraising in a development context (preferably in Africa)
- Proven track record in designing, managing and executing successful fundraising campaigns and in closing gifts in a 5-6 figure range
- Good knowledge of the giving cycle and donor cultivation strategies
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and time management skills and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strategic thinking with the ability to coordinate with departments, organize and prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines
- Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
- Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- A committed team player with outstanding communication skills
- Available to volunteer at least 7-10 hours a week
Desirable
- Experience working in an early stage start-up and gone through a scaling phase
- Passion for the start-up life and comfortable in a role with a little ambiguity

Do you have accounting experience, especially from the charity sector, and want to make a lasting difference to children and young people affected by eczema?
We are looking for a Volunteer Trustee Treasurer to join our team of experienced and new trustees to lead EOS as it moves into an exciting new strategic period.
Personal experience of eczema is not essential however, a commitment to making the lives of families facing this unpredictable condition better is vital.
What will you be doing?
While financial matters are the responsibility of all trustees, we are looking for a Treasurer with an understanding of (preferably charity) accounts and financial risk management to take the lead on behalf of the Board.
As Treasurer you would:
• Monitor the financial administration of the charity through quarterly meetings with senior staff
• Chair the Finance Sub-committee that usually meets every quarter in advance of board meetings
• Report to the Board of Trustees on financial matters
• Support senior staff with the charity’s financial risk-management process
• Act as a signatory for bank matters, including on occasion authorising payments
• Present the annual accounts at the AGM in the Autumn. As a trustee you would be part of the EOS Board who are responsible for the strategic oversight of the organisation, managing risk and overseeing the organisation’s finances.
This is a strategic role with the charity operations being carried out by the staff and volunteer team.
All trustees:
• Attend quarterly online Board Meetings in January, April, July and October. These usually take place on a weekday evening between 7pm and 8:30pm
• Attend the AGM, online, usually in the Autumn during a weekday evening
• Attend the annual away day (in-person, full day during the week). Accomodation & travel expenses can be reimbursed. Where will you be based? Trustee meetings, senior staff meetings and the AGM all take place online via Zoom. Our Away Day is an in-person event usually in Edinburgh.
Skills and Experience
The following would be helpful for the role:
• Experience as a finance professional. A knowledge of charity accounts is an advantage, however please still get in touch if you have an enthusiasm to learn and can draw from sound commercial experience
• Willingness to play an active role in supporting senior staff with financial management
• Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise independent judgement and work effectively as part of our team of trustees
• A strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
• Enthusiasm for our vision, values and delivering our strategic plan to ensure that children and young people with eczema can thrive
• Willingness and ability to understand and accept your responsibilities and liabilities as trustees and to act in the best interests of EOS

Out of Pocket Expenses
As this is a voluntary role, you won’t be paid for your time, but we will reimburse all reasonable expenses in line with our Expenses Policy.

Here at Youth4Youth, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly scaling Charity, supporting the delivery of all critical leadership activities. Working directly with the CEO, the EA to the CEO will provide crucial support to enable the CEO to deliver their core activities in driving the Charity forward. This role will involve core, regular tasks, as well as opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects and initiatives where possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular administrative support to the CEO of the Charity, including calendar management, filing, scheduling, internal engagement and other activities as required.
- Provide support to the broader network of Administrative staff and the Executive Leadership Team as required.
- Maintain financial records of the Charity by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded into financial systems with the appropriate approvals and evidence in place.
- Distribute monthly financial reports to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees that are produced from financial systems.
- Collect and collate key data across all areas of the Charity to populate leadership KPI scorecards and distribute monthly KPI reports to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
Skills
- Technically capable, with experience in using Microsoft Platforms and Xero (specific system experience desired but not required as training can be provided)
- Ability to be self-motivated and organised, as well as an ability to organise and support others
- Positive, can-do attitude to get involved with any activities required to support the CEO and the broader Charity
- Ability to learn quickly, and be adaptable to change as the Charity scales
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor others, especially other administrative staff within the Charity.

Chair - Finance and Audit Committee

The role
To provide effective leadership, the Finance & Audit Committee Chair must have a clear understanding of the committee’s duties and responsibilities; be able to commit the necessary time and be available on urgent financial matters.

Any knowledge of the insurance industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Principal Tasks:

The Vice Chair & Treasurer is the finance expert for the Board of Trustees. As such, you will acts as the Board's link with the Chief Operating Officer to remain abreast of Curious Minds' financial position and plans.

The Board of Directors ensures the vision, mission and values of the organisation - to support grassroots organisations and build stronger, more inclusive movements for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for all, especially in challenging contexts through grants for civil society, organisational strengthening of grantees, and knowledge for advocacy. We are now seeking a youth member to join our Board of Directors.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend quarterly and where necessary ad-hoc Board meetings including Members meetings and AGM (virtual)
- Ensure the vision, mission and values as set out in the AmplifyChange Strategic Plan are upheld and implemented
- Have oversight on the management of risk and ensure compliance and accountability with the governing document, external regulators and UK law
- Approve policies and procedures to govern organisational activity, including guidance for the Board, staff, volunteers and contractors
- Have oversight of the systems for reporting and monitoring results and impact
- Ensure financial affairs of the organisation are conducted properly and are accurately reported
- Ensure AmplifyChange applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its mission. For example, it must not spend money on activities which are not covered by the mission, however worthwhile they may be
- Lead discussions and provide guidance on new initiatives, particularly in areas where the Director has specific skills, knowledge or expertise
- Appoint the Chief Executive Officer and monitor their performance
- Support external and internal communications to key stakeholders, grant holders, donors and staff, including representation at key conferences, meetings and events
- Abide by AmplifyChange’s policies and procedures including the Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity policies, ensuring these are effectively implemented.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
·Young (under 30) with passion for and experience in area related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights ideally in Africa or South Asia.
·Demonstrable experience in young people and youth networks for national, regional and/or international advocacy initiatives
·Demonstrable experience in young people and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) advocacy and programming
·Experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations and gender identities
·Involvement in setting advocacy priorities and leading coalitions
·High integrity and driven by compassion and values that define and shape AmplifyChange - including a commitment to all aspects of SRHR and especially the right to safe abortion and LGBTI rights.
·Commitment to support an organisation working to secure full attainment of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all through building a stronger civil society, with diverse organisations who are resilient and work together to form movements for change.
REPORTING AND ORGANISATION
Role requirements and time commitment - Quarterly 2-hour (virtual) board meetings, with pre-reading. Participation in additional conference calls as needed, and optional sub-committees. AmplifyChange Board members serve a 3-year term and can be eligible for re-appointment.
This is a volunteer position, but reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.
Trustees will be expected to work remotely. Occasional travel may be required to Bath, UK.
Reporting to the AmplifyChange Members and working closely with the CEO, Grethe Petersen.

Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is recognised for its work to reduce undernutrition globally. We enhance the effectiveness of nutrition policy and programming by improving knowledge, stimulating learning, connecting key actors and building evidence. Our vision is that every individual caught up in a nutritional emergency, or suffering from malnutrition anywhere in the world, gets the most effective help possible. What we do
ENN’s work includes our “Field Exchange” publication that provides up to date information from research, programme learnings, and news from the sector, generated by practitioners, and distributed to our large network of researchers, practitioners and policy makers globally. We have projects specialising in Infant Feeding in Emergencies, Wasting and Stunting, Maternal and Adolescent Nutrition and support for Small and Nutritionally at-risk Infants under six months & their mothers and also manage a peer-to-peer forum offering timely answers to the questions challenging those on the front line of providing services to treat and prevent malnutrition in the world. ENN does not directly implement programmes but works to improve the effectiveness of all nutrition practitioners by helping to shape policy and practice at global and national levels.
Our Funding
ENN receives funding from governments, UN agencies, private foundations through grants and agreements, as well as contributions from partners.
This Role
The Emergency Nutrition Network needs to expand its funding base. To do this we would like to open funding potential from the private and corporate sectors, new foundations and other funders that may have an interest in working to improve nutrition for people in emergency and high malnutrition contexts.
The work will involve identifying potential funding sources, developing relationships and helping to finesse opportunities that can match ENN with potential funders. This will be closely supported by the CEO and technical team.
The position will report to the Technical Director (Operations & Platforms)
About You
We are looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of working with a charity to raise funds to provide support for projects and practitioners working in difficult and resource poor situations to treat and prevent malnutrition.
If you have experience in the private or corporate sector, and skills that you believe could enable you to fundraise, we would love to hear from you.
Terms and Conditions
Hours of work: fully flexible/negotiable
Location: Oxford area ideally, but the work does not need to be office based, so other locations should be workable.
Remuneration: This is a voluntary or pro bono position, however, reasonable expenses can be reimbursed for travel and subsistence in line with ENN’s policies.

Green Allotments is a charity on a mission to create new allotment sites in England and Wales.
We are currently looking for lovely volunteers for various roles which are all home-based:
- Social Media Supporters: Share our posts on your socials, less than one hour per week, no long-term commitment. Our easiest and lowest time commitment volunteer role. Great for you if you are new to volunteering or have only just a little time to donate to us.
- Volunteer Desk-based Researchers: Up to 1-2 hrs per week to look up information e.g. we might ask you to look for details about allotments in a given area, we will show you how to do this.
- Occasional professional/specialist micro-volunteers in the areas of Marketing and PR, Human Resources: These are one-off (short) specialist tasks. We will ask you for advice or signposting on a specialist topic. This role can be tailored to your circumstances to suit you, e.g. by email, phone or zoom.
There are no set hours when volunteering for us and you can turn down anything that you are offered. Obviously, we will treat you with dignity and respect.
We do not anticipate that you will incur expenses in this role. We expect our volunteers to already have an internet connection and be willing to use that as part of their volunteer role with Green Allotments CIO.
