Job description

Are you an experienced and passionate policy adviser ready for a new challenge to boost your skills in a supportive environment? Are you interested in supporting the growth and development of the speech and language therapy (SLT) workforce through data driven strategic interventions and address barriers to the innovation of roles within the profession? Then join our busy team on a part-time basis. 

The role

We are looking for a Strategic Workforce Adviser who will be responsible for all aspects of workforce strategy and policy, contributing to the long-term vision and aspirations for the SLT workforce. The role will focus on the development of policy and narrative relating to the collection of SLT workforce data, developing strategies and relationships to communicate and influence members and external stakeholders about the workforce, and lead on student funding policy. The Strategic Workforce Adviser will ensure that the RCSLT advocates and influences on behalf of the speech and language therapy workforce, developing strategies to promote the profession with key stakeholders both internally and externally, and by enabling the profession to advocate on its own behalf by providing the tools and information for them to do so.

The ideal candidate will have experience of using data to support influencing and strategic development, have good interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively within a team environment and can manage multiple on-going tasks.
